Cool Ever seen a blue turtle?

I'm having some health and "mood" issues, but I'm still hanging in there. Day four turned out to be quite difficult and I could NOT force myself to the track last night
. So when I got home, I actually set my Flylady timer and FORCED myself to do twenty minutes of WATP moves while standing at my computer (actually, I moved around the house a bit). I forget who's motto DIA & DIN are, but bless you. I've made it to day #5 using that motto. Now this activity was the bare minimum I'll allow on my goals, but it was all I could do and keep my challenge rolling.
I wish the best of luck to all chicks who roost here. Have a great day (or evening).

Thumbs up Tgis!

Hey Chiickas!

Saturday Morning here and I made it through my 1 week (M-F) challenge on another thread. Worked out eveyday for 65 minutes! Feels goooooooooooood.

Also amazingly still on track with SBD. You are right Red, the combo is a killer. But thanks to the support here, I'm doing it!

Curly-Wrapping up day 19-yes? You will make it to 21. Only two more to go. You are an inspiration.

Carla- You are doing great! You may have stumbled on a tool that works. You said you had a moment to back track and you decided to not drink the wine. Maybe you can incorporate that, at least at home. Maybe don't routinely keep your wine chilled. That way you will have to wait a bit and that may be just enough buffer to help with some of the impulse drinking. I think I will try it myself! I do enjoy my evening wine. Problem is I enjoy a couple glasses every night. Since on SBD Phase I, I can't have it. But come Phase II I can so maybe from now on, it will be a treat, not the norm. I will use it to celebrate, not to unwind. Maybe it will be on my next 21day challenge!

Mscat-Goin strong! I was curios about the "flex" system. So it is a balance of calories and exercise? Sounds interesting. How long have you been doing it?

Gray, Curly & Red-I hear ya. I can not have just one. Portion control is a definate problem for me. I am really working on it though. One thing I am doing is using different dishes. I have these pretty little bowls that I bought at the 100yen/dollar store. They are a perfect 1/2 cup size. I hate to stop and measure anything so I use these a lot! Makes me feel like I have plenty because I can fill them to the top.

Red-OK! NO sugar and clean. A good combo. Do you like sweets? If so, what is going to be your strategy, your treat?

Jacky-In to week 3!!! Awesome. ahhhh to be a newlywed again. So wonderful to get healthy before the big day.

Java-Way to push through it ! As flylady says...you can do anything for 15 (or 20) minutes!

LB-Day 6! I am right behind you-keep going! If you can do it, I can do it!

Again-Thanks for the birthday wishes girls. It made it a happier day.

Red face back to start....

Good morning, all. No time to catch up right now because I had a very big (read lots of beer) night last night and am late for work. Will try to get back to you all later. Hang in there! I am back to Day 1 because I didn't clean anything yesterday. Was OK on the sugar, even dreamt I was eating some ice cream! but it's a double challenge, so I'm back to Day 1. Oh well.....

Keep the faith for me all! You guys keep me going!

Wow... how intimidating. Really, you guys are inspiring... I don't know if I can do it. But I can try, right?

Can I try small small small to start? I want to replace 2 sodas per day w/ water. I think it's doable. Can I join you guys and start with that? Or do I need something bigger?

Smile Shalia!

Thanks for the kudos!
I would imagine giving up soda for you is like giving up coffe for me. If it's a challenge for you, then it's not small. I "must" have my 3 cups in the morning. I may go half decaf on a future challenge. Go on - do it - inspire me!!!!!

Day 5 under my belt. But no bonuses at all. I've just been hanging around the house with the new kitties. Little Lily has a very bad cold - might need the vet again tomorrow. And Bigboy bats her around whenever she tries to get close to him. So I spent a lot of time supervising my tiny patient and her delinquent brother.

The weather was lovely, so that excuse for not exercising is gone. But I'm doing quite well on the food front; went out for lunch and removed the top slices of panini and asked toreplace half the fries with salad. My main indulgence is fresh fruit which is oh-so-good for me anyway.

On to Day 6 tomorrow. The wine on day 22 will taste SO good!

Day 2 down! I did 90 minutes of cardio tonight and 15 minutes of my pilates video this morning, and I'm at 1420 calories. I'm really proud of myself because today we went to Sam's Club and I only had ONE sample, a single Shrimp Scampi.

Wow, only one sample at a Sam's Club? I'm totally impressed!!! That's a woohoo on it's own!

Thanks, 1nceagain. I'm not giving up coffee yet, I don't think I could if i tried, but I'll try and replace the two sodas. I can do that. Yes, I think I can so I'll be the train that could.

Hello All,

You are all very inspiring May I join in, too? I'll assume the answer's yes. Here are my goals:

1. Only weigh myself once a week - this will be hard, but somebody had good advice about their hubby hiding the scales.
2. Only have 3 cups of coffee a day - will try and have herbal teas instead
3. Have 3 glasses of water a day - much better than the none I'm having now
4. Have 3 meals a day and no snacks inbetween - the snacking is what brought me to this state in the first place.

If you don't mind I will write in on a regular basis to begin with, just so that I accountable to someone

Thanks everyone for sharing all your stories,

Suzanne
