Good morning. The weekend was too short, as usual. Too bad the snow didn't come last night or I would be at home in my PJ's "working" from home!! Oh well. I am thinking about using a PTO on Friday. It just sounds so good right now, and we have off on Monday. I'd LOVE a 4 day weekend. DBF and I are going to The Melting Pot for dinner on Friday night - can't wait!
SPILLIE: Congrats on the loss. Good luck with Core. Which movies did you watch over the weekend? ROCKER: Sorry to hear about the slight gain, but don't let that bother you. Use it as motivation! Hi everyone,
Looks like everyone made it in to work today. The backroads weren't really done and some of the main roads weren't done either, so it made a very interesting drive to the train station. Even the parking lot there was packed with snow. Hard to find a parking spot. I can't believe all the snow we got. At least we didn't get as much as NYC. They got pounded. We lucked out even though we got about 18 inches. Still a lot. When does Spring get here? I so look forward to the warm weather again. :) Nothing much happening here. Things at work are starting to pick up a little. We are starting to get really busy. I was here late on Friday night trying to get stuff done. What's really scary is that they have candy every Friday. You should see it! Holy cow. People go crazy over it. I was very tempted to get a cup full like everyone else, but I only took a mini-snickers bar and ate that. Such temptation. I am a sucker for Snickers. This is going to be hard every Friday. Anyway... SPILLIE: Congrats on your weight loss. Good job! ROCKER: Don't get discouraged. You'll be fine and do well next week. It's okay. :) TWIDDLE: Hope you had a good weekend. Morning...not much new here except I was in bed by 9:15 last night! I feel a lot better too...still have a sinus headache but I can deal w/that. Happy Valentine's Day! Just checking in real quick here. I can't get into my e-mail, so they're supposed to be sending someone to my desk asap (and I've been waiting over an hour already...) to clean up my PC. Apparently I have a lot of crap on here that's really limiting my performance. So, I don't want to be doing stuff on the net when the person shows up, if they ever do... I'll try to check back in later on this afternoon, assuming they fixed me up. Hope you all have a great day! |

Finally getting a minute to post...
Dinner is in the oven (a Brushetta like Flounder along with some roasted potatoes and green beans) and I figured I'd check the thread. Work has been so crazy lately I haven't been able to get online. I can check/send email but aside from that I've been missing out on a lot. WI was today and I'm down 1 lb. YAY. Soon I'll be out of the 170's...I can't wait!!! Seems that how I'm doing things is working (embedding my flex points into my daily points and having high and low days). I'm going to keep doing things this way since it's working for me. Since no one really said anything today - I don't have to reply to anything!! :p Okay...food is calling!! Have a great night. |
Morning Chickies. Not much new here except the same old chit here at work and I have to say 2 things that have happened in a 24 hour period have got me pissed beyond belief. Lemme see if I can break it down and give you the short version: being told I owe $$$ for something I didn't even know was being ordered for a co-worker; a different co-worker emails me something to look over that she has to turn into the higher ups. I do, offer up my suggestions to which she states: what, are you my critic now?..then at the end puts j/k which I know she wasn't or she wouldn't have said it in the first place. I emailed back and said: you asked for my help. I get in this morning and check my emails...got one from said co-worker who says: I made the changes you suggested and turned it into our boss. He said: now that's what I'm talking about! O-M-G....she used what I suggested after slamming me and takes full credit. See if I ever help her again.
You guys know that I love to write and that English/creative writing was my minor in college....so I don't mind looking over things when people ask but chit, don't go calling me names if you can't take the suggestions. I wasn't critisizing her either--I made suggestions then I explained why I did. Take it or leave it. There's no law stating you have to use what I suggested. I'm still mad at her and will be for awhile. Most of you know who this is (I know if you think hard enough you will). For some reason this person feels the need to be competitive w/me when there's no need. Yes, we have the same boss but two totally different jobs. DON'T FLUCKIN ASK ME TO HELP YOU OUT IF YOU CAN'T TAKE MY SUGGESTIONS. She had the nerve to say I was critisizing her. Sorry...so much for the short version. Anyway...hope you all have a great day! I'm gonna go drink some coffee to calm myself down. |
