Hola Chicas,

Well I finally went to the gym last night. I did 1/2 hour on the StairMaster and then I went over to the weights. My friend who is also my neighbor goes to the same gym and he said he would be my personal trainer since he has seen the progress I have been making but am stuck in a rut. Let me just say that we started lifting weights at 8:45 and we left the gym at 10:00. I am sore in places that I did not even know I could be sore at. But I feel good at the same time. We will be going every night from now on. I feel motivated and I need to tone up big time. I am sagging all over the place and cannot afford cosmetic surgery. I also know that as a result of this I will see the scale go up a little but that's okay, I know the inches will be coming off. Core has been working out so well for me. I eat enough and feel satisfied and don't feel like eating again till my next meal. I'm excited that I have finally found a plan that fits my lifestyle and I don't have to COUNT POINTS!!! :carrot:

VIVA dinner last night sounded great. I wish I could get home early enough to prepare such gourmet meals, I feel like my evenings are so short and barely have time to even enjoy being with DS.
DUTCHIE what's going on?

You gals want a laugh...this morning I get up at my usual time of 5:30am. I struggle to get out of bed since I didn't get into it till midnight. I go take my shower and get dressed, make my breakfast (Cream of Wheat) and lunch (boiled Yuca w/veg Omelette) to bring to work...when I noticed that DS is not getting up and his alarm is not going off. I go into his room and his clock says 5:43am, yeah that's right 5:43am. So I'm thinking he must have messed up his clock when he was fixing it for the morning. I wake him up and tell him he is going to be late. He tells me, "no it's only 5:43am". So we go back and forth and he brings me his cell and go gets mine...IT IS 5:43, seems that my clock had been messed with by me the morning before. So it was me who was up at 4:30am and not 5:30am. So I sat and watched TV for 45min until it was time for DS to get up and me go to work. Oh yeah, DS went back to bed for the remaining 45mins. Don't think for a minute that he stayed up and chatted with me. NOOOOOOO, he went back to bed.

So needless to say, I am dead here and wish that I could just go back to bed since I only got 4 hours of sleep. :tired:

SPILLIE - Be careful about lifting every day. If you do, be sure that it's not the same muscle groups, as your muscles need time to repair themselves in between workouts. Sounds like a good deal, though!

We had cran-apple chicken in the crockpot, potatoes au gratin, and a spring mix salad with raspberry walnut vinaigrette last night, after yoga class. Boy was it yummy. But even better were the store-bought chocolate cupcakes with fabulous white icing (and V-Day sprinkles :D ). I purposely bought them so they'd be gone quickly...and they are. DH had 4 of them, and I had 2. Oh, they were sooooo good though.

Not much else going on here. Planning to go visit the new nephew this weekend - can't wait! I took Monday off (DH already had off) so we get to spend an extra day there.

Oh, and I still don't have e-mail, so hopefully y'all aren't sending me anything. I have to get my PC rebuilt, and I'm hoping they'll give me a laptop instead of another desktop. It's ridiculous that I don't have a laptop yet. So, we'll see.

Sonofa B! I just remembered that I had a 10:00 meeting this morning. My calendar is connected to my e-mail, so I didn't have the usual reminder. Oops!

And the guy working on the rebuild just stopped by to tell me it's done. He hasn't talked to the guy about a laptop, so it looks like I might be SOL. Dammitalltohell.

That's what we plan on doing, working on different parts of the body on different nights. I know the muscle needs time to repair. That is why I'm also doing cardio on the nights I don't lift. I just need to get into the habit of going to the gym every night like I use to. I lost the bulk of my fat and now I need to get back into the same mindset as before. I have gotten comfortable at this weight and I need to break that and move on. BTW, dinner sounded good as well at your house.

Well Twiddle, it's like this: I'm stuck in a rut at work and I can't get out. I helped someone out yesterday with something she had to turn in to the higher ups and she called me her critic. Fine. Don't take my suggestions that you ASKED me to give. Turns out she did, boss loved it and she took all the credit. I'm mad at bossman for something else. Oh, I get to play secretary up in our office on Friday til lunch. WTF is THAT all about? Can't leave b/c I'm strapped. Can't get a 2nd job b/c of my cooky hours here.

I'm hoping I win the lottery tonite b/c then I'm NOT coming back here...E-V-E-R. And I'm not calling in to tell them either. If I don't win the lottery then maybe I'll find me a rich doctor husband, preferably a plastic surgeon that can do my tummy tuck and boob lift/job for FREE. Now, wouldn't that be nice? LOL

ROCKER IS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER RIGHT NOW. ROCKER WILL BE HAVING MILLER LITE FOR DINNER TONITE.

Where the **** is everyone?

Good morning chicklets!

I finally made it to work...such drama this morning. Friend calls while I'm still home, telling me there's train problems. I tell her I'll pick her up and we'll drive to the El. As we're driving to the El, we see our train go by. Dangit! Get to the El, get on, go about 3 stops, and realize I left my cell phone visible in the car. Gotta go back. Go back, get my phone, get back on the train, and get into work at 9-frickin'-30. Good grief!

Still don't have e-mail. Found out I'm not getting a laptop though. :mad: "A few months" they say. Yeah, right. Anyway, now I'm just waiting for my "new" desktop so that I can finally get into e-mail. Who knows when that'll happen.

Got a good workout in last night. Treadmill for 45 minutes, and cardioglide for another 20. Had leftover pork tenderloin, potatoes au gratin, peas, and salad for dinner. Cooking in the crockpot again tonight...BBQ chicken...think I'll pick up some fries to go with that, and throw in some corn. MMmmmm...

Had WI this morning. Last week up 3, this week, down 4.5. Woo hoo!! And I fit into my skinny LL Bean pants today, which is always a good sign, although my azz feels huge in them. Oh well...everything's moving in the right direction!

Hope you're all having a swell day so far. Tomorrow's Friday! Woo hoo!!

Even though I am not supposed to...I stepped on the scale this morning. It said 169! Yay. Of course WI day (Tuesday) is far off and I will be battling the Melting Pot tomorrow night - but I guess whatever happens, happens!

Good Morning Chicas,

I ended up taking a mental health day yesterday. I got up, took my shower and almost got dressed when I just started crying, so I ended up back in bed. I slept all day, just couldn't face the world. My body ached so bad also from the workout I had with my friend, I didn't know I had muscle in certain parts of my body. Anyway, today is not all that great either, but I'm in work today.

TWIDDLE congrats on the loss, I did the same thing as VIVA and got on the scale this morning...I'm up 3lbs. I keep telling myself that it's from working out, but who am I fooling; no one, I know I need to stop putting food in my mouth even though it is fruits mainly that I keep reaching for, but it just seems like I can't stop eating. Yesterday when I got up around 5:00 I ended up eating leftover brown rice and chicken stew and then a mango, a banana, salad with ff dressing, (1) 2pt apple muffin, about 1oz of peanuts and 2 glasses of skim milk. Finally went back to bed around 9:30 slept the whole night till my alarm went off this morning at 5:30. :dust:

VIVA I hope the scale stays down for you on Tuesday. :crossed:

Good morning chicklets!

SPILLIE - Sorry you were so depressed yesterday. I've been like that on occasion...actually skipped two days of work for it. But then I realized that laying in bed wasn't going to help anything, so I forced myself to get up and go to work, and eventually it went away. It's really hard sometimes, though.

I'm in a mood today. Can't quite figure it out. I don't even know if it's a good mood or a bad mood, but it's some type of abnormal mood. Who knows.

I rammed my knee this morning on the guard rail, at the train station where I cross over to get to the platform. It's been throbbing ever since. Great...just great. I'm hoping it'll go away so I can work out. *sigh*

Alright, that's it for me for now. Hopefully I'll get my e-mail back today. I think I'm going to call the guy and see what's up. Have a good Friday!
