ROCKER: I didn't get the pictures either, so it's not just you.

And I think they were sent to some people PURPOSEFULLY, since the people that received them don't normally get pics and stuff...

HOW OLD ARE WE AGAIN? Seriously...

I guess this goes to show that it doesn't matter how old someone is, they can still be IMMATURE and JUNIOR HIGHISH.

I can't believe they're calling her Carolyn's friend. After the things she said to me about Carolyn as we were going to/from dinner with you guys. Unf*ckingbelievable.

VIVA~GIRL 01-31-2006 07:52 AM

Good morning. Well, today was WI and I was up 1 pound...WTF? I swear, I just can't seem to do well this time around. I'm writing down everything, drinking so much freakin' water I'm running to the bathroom every 5 minutes, even going to the gym (only 1 time per week so far but heck, it's at least something!), and now I'm gaining? I have no idea if I'm retaining water or what's up...but this is very frustrating! Today my new week starts and I've embedded my flex points into my week so hopefully that'll help? (like 26, 28, 22, 40, 27, 24, 22 and so on). I know I can't throw in the towel, but I'm just frustrated right now!

On a brighter note, I get my hair cut and highlighted today after work - I can't wait. My roots are horrible and I'm totally hating my hair right now.

I know TWIDDLE, isn't it ridiculous? I was thinking the same thing!

SPILLIE - Can't wait to hear about your trip! :flow2:

DUTCHIE - Good luck at WI tomorrow - you're doing great!

ROCKER - Hope all is well in ROCKER world!!! Make anything good for dinner last night? I hope your head feels better - my head is pounding right now :(

I'll check in shortly when you all wake up! LOL

twiddle-my-thumbs 01-31-2006 08:34 AM

Good morning, my lovely chicklets!!

I love you guys. I just had to say that. I don't want to be involved with any more sh*t. I'm glad that we've come together and formed the strong group that we have.

VIVA - I'm not sure what to tell you. Are you getting your period? Have you had higher sodium intakes? I'm sure those paninis have higher sodium than other foods. And you weren't working out before, right? How long have you been going to the gym. It could be a temporary gain for that reason, as well. It's hard when you really think you're doing everything right, but the scale doesn't reflect it. Have you noticed any change in the way your clothes feel?

DUTCHIE - Congrats on the loss!! You're doing so great with JC! That's awesome!

SPILLIE - You used to home yet?

ROCKER - Yo. :D

Not much going on here. Got a decent workout in last night. Made veggie fajitas for dinner, which were totally yummy. Thinly sliced onion, red pepper, and zucchini, seasoned with a fajita seasoning, sauteed, and served in lettuce leaves with ff cheese, salsa, and sour cream. Pretty good stuff! Only points are for the cheese and sour cream. Tonight is enchilada chicken.

Then I'm on my own...DH is leaving on a business trip tomorrow and won't get back until late in the evening on Thursday. Can't wait for the time alone! (Is that bad?) We're checking out some 5Ks...don't know if you guys are interested in walking any...DH and I will be running them, but you're still welcome to join us. We haven't signed up for any yet, but we'll probably do the Clean Air 5K in April (15th, I think) down on West River Drive. In any case, let me know if you're interested in participating.

Guess that's it for me for now. Hope you all have a great Tuesday!

RockerChick 01-31-2006 08:48 AM

Good morning CHICKIES!    (that's one smilie guy for each of you). Gah...enough with the rain already...but at least it's not snow! ROCKER's gonna be bouncing http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_13_10.gifoff the walls here pretty soon...lots of coffee this morning. I barely slept last night and my teeth hurt which leads me to believe I was clamping down hard on them during the couple hours I did get. <<<MUST LEARN NOT TO STRESS, MUST LEARN NOT TO STRESS>>>

VIVA: nothing good for dinner last night..was feeling pretty rotten when I left so all I had were some whole wheat noodles. I think I'm heading over to TWIDDLE's house to eat this week...she's having yummy stuff! LMAO!

TWIDDLE: are these recipes you're fixing off of that Mastercook thingy? They sound G-R-E-A-T!!!!! (says ROCKER in her best Tony the Tiger voice! :lol3: )

SPILLIE: we're patiently awaiting :listen: :listen: :listen: :listen: for you to share how your trip was!

DUTCHIE: how are you today?

Well, guess that's it for now...have a good one!

SPILLIE 01-31-2006 08:57 AM

HOLA CHICAS,

You all have mail!!!

twiddle-my-thumbs 01-31-2006 09:03 AM

I don't see no stinkin' mail.

ROCKER - They are recipes that I've had forever, but never tried. I'm importing them into Mastercook now, so as I'm reading them, I'm "discovering" them again. When I've seen something really tasty, I've copied it into a menu. I think I have menus through next week already, but could make plenty more. I'm also trying to use up stuff I've had sitting in the pantry, like the enchilada sauce I'm using tonight.

RockerChick 01-31-2006 09:03 AM

What is the TRUE meaning of friendship?

THE CHICKIES. 'NUFF SAID.

Thanks TWIDDLE. Between you and VIVA we could have a CHICKIE's Cookbook! I would love to try the 5k with you and DH but I'm afraid the situation with my knee won't allow me too. The ortho said no walking...I can't even do the treadmill at the gym. And I don't think you wanna see me try and run! HAH!

I GOT THE MAIL! :p

VIVA~GIRL 01-31-2006 09:08 AM

SPILLIE: Which recipes did you want? I have one for a Brushetta like Fish, Baked Tilapia with Fresh Herbs, and a WW General Tso's Chicken. Let me know and I'll send them to you!

TWIDDLE: We have only gone to the gym for the past 2 weeks on Friday. This past Friday I did the elliptical thingy and the week before that I did some weights. I have a feeling it could be my sodium intake (I had a panini yesterday and the WW General Tso's chicken on Sunday), but I don't think there's a way to reverse water retention? LOL! I haven't tried putting on my favorite jeans yet, I'll have to do that soon to see if I feel any difference.
And is Bowling you're talking about for everyone, or just us? Thanks!

ROCKER: Hope you are feeling better! Can I have some of your energy? I need coffee, I need coffee. LMFAO! I always allow myself a cup of coffee from here (with splenda and 1 creamer = 0 points) after I'm done 2 liters of water...then I try to drink 2 more liters after that.

DUTCHIE: Hope all is going well!

twiddle-my-thumbs 01-31-2006 09:16 AM

Bowling could be either...up to you guys!

The only way to reduce sodium intake is just to keep drinking water, and try to avoid higher sodium things the day before WI. I'm very careful about the things I eat even 2 days before hand. Working out also causes water retention, so that could be some of the reason as well. Once your body gets used to it, that should go away. But keep drinking water!

I got the mail. Finally. :p

Yeah what TWIDDLE said about sodium intake...I WI Sat mornings and I stop eating prepackaged meals and am careful to watch the salt intake beginning on Thursdays and sometimes Wednesdays!

VIVA~GIRL 01-31-2006 09:31 AM

Well dammit, that's not very convenient for me. LMFAO! Salt schmalt. I really wish it wasn't a P.I.T.A.!

Oh well - I'll keep a-drinkin' my water.

I vote for "family" bowling...but that's just my opinion. I'll need someone to drive my drunk azz home if I want to win at bowling, LOL!

SPILLIE 01-31-2006 09:38 AM

I vote for family bowling as well. I think DS would get a blast out of it again, like last time. And my brother and his wife love bowling also. And since I don't have a car anymore, I could bum a ride off them. :D

twiddle-my-thumbs 01-31-2006 09:41 AM

You don't have a car anymore??? Did I miss something?

Okay, family bowling it is. We'll hammer out all the details via e-mail.
