GOOD MORNING CHICAS, How was everyone's weekend? It was horrible out on Saturday, but I still walked from my house to my mom's house to cook and clean a little over there. She is having a cauterization done on Wednesday so we are trying to keep her just sitting and doing nothing till we know what's going on. Not much else happened this weekend. I'm up 3lbs, don't know how but I'll live with it. It sucks when you know you are eating all the right things doing the right things and still gain. I'm not even going to use TOM as an excused even though he came with a vengance again. I just have to crack down and figure out what I'm doing wrong. Well off to get my coffee and start working...HAVE A GREAT DAY! |

I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was okay. Was supposed to go the Flyers game on Saturday, but the girl who was going to give me the tickets decided to give them to someone else. So, to say the least, I was a little p'od. So, Saturday I just hung out at the house and did some chores. Sunday I stayed home from church, because I just didn't feel like going this week. Yes, I already feel guility about it, but just needed some extra time to sleep in. Then Sunday night went over to my cousin's house who had this huge Super Bowl party. It was a lot of fun. I met this really cute guy there and we were talking, totally hit it off, and then during the 3 quarter his cell phone rings and he said it's his wife! UGH! Go figure! So, that was the end of that. Anyway, glad the Steelers won. I was kind of in the middle. Couldn't decide which team I wanted to win. So, I am happy for the Steelers. I won $25 during the game in a game we played. So, that was cool. All in all, it was a good weekend. Now it's back to work... I hope you all are doing well. I am going to go for now. See ya! |

SPILLIE - I guessed you missed the part where I said I'd be sober on Monday? Or the part where I said that I'm stopping drinking beginning the MONDAY AFTER THE SUPERBOWL (which would be.......TODAY!). :p DUTCHIE - Always look for the ring, baby!! ROCKER - I looked for you yesterday during the Soul game. I only caught some of the 4th quarter. VIVA - Good Monday morning to you. Soooo...I have some news...and you're all hearing it first...I became an aunt this weekend!! DH's sister had her baby on Saturday morning around 8:00. Zachary is his name...8 lbs...21 inches. There were some difficulties during the whole process, so she ended up having a C-section. She was still recovering from everything when we called, so we didn't get to talk to her. Hopefully she'll be going home tomorrow, which happens to be her birthday. We'll be heading up the weekend after next to see the little guy! Can't wait! I think this was the first superbowl that I didn't have one dollar riding on it in probably 15 years! Quite bizarre. But we had fun watching it anyway. I was rooting for Seattle (:( ) but I'm just glad it was good. So what about the commercials? I have a couple of favorites...not sure which one ranks highest. I liked the Michelob Ultra Amber one, where the blonde playing football gets tackled. I liked the Caveman FedEx one, the Sierra Mist one with Kathy Griffin, and the "streaker" with the Budweiser Clydesdales. I actually enjoyed most of the Bud Light ones... So, I'm sick. Again. *sigh* I can't believe this. I've never been sick this many times in a year, let alone within a few months. It started yesterday morning and got progressively worse throughout the day. I'm all congested and sniffly. Bummer. Hopefully it won't be as bad as the last time, but I think we just keep passing everything around here at the office. Well, I guess that's it for now. Anyway...had a freakin blast yesterday tailgating and at the game! I drank a little more than planned but had fun doing it! Did a lot of jello shots too....YUM! Had a pretty good buzz going when they opened the doors. GET THIS: JBJ was down on the field (before the pregame show) signing autographs/taking pix with fans and guess who didn't go down, rather, just sat in her seat? ME! Can you belive that? (ok, all of you can get up off the floor now). Yep...told myself this year I wasn't gonna go thru all that again and so far, I stuck to it. The band did play 2 songs at halftime, so that was a bonus. Everyone in my section and ones close to me kept turning around to see if they could see the band up in Jon's box. The chick in front of me gave one of the vendors some $$$ to go up to his box to deliver a snow cone and ask him to sign her ticket...stupid biotch...she just gave away free money! The guy never came back. Anyhoo...we came out after the game and had to get someone to jump the car b/c it wouldn't start. I lost 2.4 at WI on Sat which brings me to 34.4 over all. The weight tracker thingy isn't working so I just deleted it for now. I guess when they are completely moved to the new server it will. SPILLIE: no worries my friend on the gain...it will come off! DUTCHIE: I'd be pissed to about the Flyers tix! Glad you had fun at the SB party and that you won some $$$! TWIDDLE: I mean, AUNTIE TWIDDLE! Conrgats on the new addition! The game was great...you could see me on TV...but wouldn't know it was me unless I pointed it out to you. VIVA: how was your weekend? Gotta go...have a good one! |

CHICKIE so glad you had a good time at the SOUL game. DUTCHIE sometimes you just need to sleep in and rejuvinate(sp?). VIVA where are you? Question for whomever: Is there really a difference between Raw sugar and regular white sugar? Are the pts any different? I no longer do online and I don't go to meetings, but I have found that I use less sugar if I use Raw sugar and would like to know if health wise and pt wise there is a difference. Thanks for you help if you can answer it. |

TWIDDLE: Congratulations to all! Is this the first time your an aunt? I love being an aunt to my twin nephews. It's so much fun. I love spoiling them. I hope you have fun and congratulations again! ROCKER: That must have taken a lot of willpower not to go down there and see JBJ. At the SuperBowl party I went to, my cousin's step-daughter went to the game and she said the halftime show was great. However, she had great seats, but JBJ and the bands back were turned to her, so she couldn't see the front of them. She was disappointed, but happy she got to see JBJ. Oh! And congrats on your weight loss! That's so awesome. Keep up the great work. You are doing great! :carrot: VIVA: Everything okay? I hope you are okay. Anyway... ROCKER... I am not sure what Kim did. I didn't think to ask. I had another friend of mine go the game also and she said she had a blast. Sounds like these games are fun to go to. I hope all had a good evening. I had planned on going to the gym to start lifting weights and toning up, but ended up going nowhere. I was going to borrow my dad's car to go but he ended up using the car himself to go to the hospital with my mom. I don't know if I had told you gals, but mom has a rare blood disease that the blood disappears without explanation. In other words it's like her blood evaporates from her system. In runs in our family but it only hits every certain generation, we are all carriers but not all of us get it. It's a long weird name so I can't even remember how to spell it. She has to get blood transfusions (sp?) at least once every two months or sooner if she is feeling weak or tired. She has been complaining about being tired lately and feeling sick but she thought it was the flu. Well on Friday she finally went to the drs. and they did some blood work and yesterday her dr calls her and tells her she has to rush to the ER because her blood count was way lower than any other time. So she is now in the hospital and will be there for the rest of the week. There is no cure for this, only to keep getting blood transfusions. It doesn't matter what she eats or does her blood evaporates anyway. Sorry to bore you with all this, didn't realize I was going on about it. Anyway, needless to say I am tired now and wish I could fix my car so that I could at least go to the gym. It was too cold last night to go walking. Maybe tonight. HAVE A GREAT DAY!! |

SPILLIE - Sorry to hear about your mom. Even though it's something expected, it still stinks that she's in the hospital all week. At least they caught it now! For the record, I hate being sick. I came to work today - I feel too guilty calling out, especially since I was just out a few weeks ago - but I'm so tired. I had a strange night's sleep last night. I went to bed at 10, and woke up between 12 and 1, feeling as if I had gotten a full night's sleep. I actually thought I had overslept, I was so well-rested. Of course, by the time I actually got up for real this morning, I was exhausted, and now I have medicine-head to add to it. Yippy. I may go home early if it gets bad, but I have yoga tonight. First class, so I really don't want to miss it. Guess we'll see how the day goes. That's about it for me for now. Hope you all have a good Tuesday! |
