Quick check-in. If I remember correctly, ROCKER is off, but VIVA and DUTCHIE are working. And of course SPILLIE is off visiting her hubby...woo hoo!!!
Not much to report. Pretty tame weekend. Did some errands and such on Saturday. Went to see The Producers - good movie. Got a workout in, and stayed totally OP. Sunday we stayed in...way too cold to go outside! Watched some movies, football, etc. No workout. Last night we had a fire, which generally leads to consuming some wine. Well, after a bottle and a half of wine, we switched to beer and kept drinking. Ugh. DH didn't have to work today, so he was a bad influence on me. So, I wasn't OP yesterday (although I was good the rest of the day until that point). Rough getting up this morning. And cold, too. Many many people off today...even here in the office it's pretty quiet. I feel like it's Christmas week again! Anyway, guess I'll run and try to do some work today. Hope you all had a good weekend! Talk to you later! |
Good morning. Oh how I wish I was off! I have a meeting from 11-1 today - boo. Lunch is included...but VIVA brought her own! I was so proud of myself. I knew there wouldn't be any good choices, so to avoid any problems I packed my own lunch. A 2 pt turkey sandwich, 0 pt salad, 1 pt caramel corn cakes, and 1 pt butterscotch pudding! Yay. I was OP over the weekend AND I drank at least 3 liters of water a day! (That dosn't usually happen for me at home!!!)
Hi TWIDDLE. I love wine...sounds so good! We were going to have some this weekend, but I decided against it b/c I didn't want to end up drinking the whole bottle myself. DBF gets this pain/hurt in his jaw when he drinks wine and it happens other times too. We have no idea why? DUTCHIE: How are you doing on JC? :) ROCKER: Not talking to you today!! :p SPILLIE: Hope you're having fun with DH!!! |
Hello there...
It's been pretty busy here, so I haven't had a chance to post until now. Hope everyone is doing well. ROCKER: I hope you are enjoying your day off. SPILLIE: I hope you are having fun on your trip. VIVA: I am doing okay on JC. Saturday night went out with some people and we went to Outback Steakhouse in Wayne. It was really hard going out, but I think I managed okay. I had a 7 ounce Filet Minon with a baked potato and house salad. I only ate half of my meal, because I was full. I didn't even have an appetizer. They ordered a Blooming Onion and I usually would go crazy over it. Didn't touch it. I did have a drink though, I had a Wallaby Darned. It's my absolute favourite drink. It's not like I go to Outback all the time, so it was a nice treat to have. Then on Sunday, mum made Talipia for dinner and instead of sticking to my JC meals, I had some of that. So, hopefully I'll be okay until Wednesday. I've been sticking to the menu JC gave me and have been doing pretty good. Hopefully I'll see some kind of loss on Wednesday. I'll be happy even if it's 1 lb. We'll see. My mum says she'll definitely join JC also, it's just a matter of when. TWIDDLE: Hope you having a good day. Okay... well, I better get back to work. Take care everyone. Talk to you later! :D |
Morning. Weigh-in was today and I only lost a half of a pound. I'm kinda bummed because I thought I did so much better than that. I journaled, didn't eat all of my flex points, drank a ton of water, etc. I don't know if my sodium intake was too high? I've been drinking 4-5 liters of water a day here at work - do you think it's possible to drink too much water? DUTCHIE: Sounds like you made some good choices when you were out to dinner with friends :) Good luck at your first weigh-in. And that's great your Mom is joining too! ROCKER: I hope you had a good day off! Hi TWIDDLE. |
Good morning chicklets!
VIVA - Sorry to hear that your WI was disappointing, but it was a loss, and you have to look at it that way. I know it's tough sometimes, but... I don't think it's possible to drink too much water. I mean, it is, but it would take an awful lot to do so. Are you expecting your period soon? That might make a difference. Otherwise, it could just be water retention from too much sodium, like you said. Or maybe you need to eat more flex points? I don't know how many you had, but if it was less than half, you might need to eat a little more. I'm not sure...just trying to throw some thoughts out there. DUTCHIE - Sounds like you did good out at dinner. Even if I'm not perfect, if I do better than I normally would (like skipping the Bloomin' Onion), I consider that to be an NSV. ROCKER - How was your day off? Hopefully you slept in and got to rest and relax before joining us all back in the working world. I got a workout in last night...not a great one, but it was something. Last night we finished last week's leftovers, so it's back to cooking for me. I'm either making Spinach and Cheese Cannelloni (sp?), or Mini Turkey Loaves. Yum. Got the 32 oz. jug freshly filled this morning...time to start sucking it down! I started getting "skinny brain" yesterday...since I usually jump on the scale every day, it was looking good, so I got a little cocky yesterday and munched a little too much. Gotta get it back on track before Thursday's official WI. Alrighty girls...hope you're all doing well. Have a good Tuesday, and drink that water!! |
Morning CHICKIES...first before I say anything else, PLEASE keep my granny in your prayers today. She will be undergoing surgery at 10am. They will be putting stints in her one leg to try and open up the arteries...AGAIN. She had this same procedure on the same leg 3 years ago and we almost lost her. It was a very scary thing...I was there that time, but this time I'm not and it's very hard for me right now. Mom's very worried which is not a good sign.
My weekend was good...lost 2.2 at WI which brings me to 30 even. I don't know how it happened, but I'll take it! VIVA: be proud of the 1/2 # loss! At least it wasn't a gain and that's what's important. DUTCHIE: WTG on your eating out choices! Great job! TWIDDLE: sounds like you're back on track too which is great! Gotta go...will check in later. |
Oh ROCKER, your Granny is in my prayers, for sure. I hope everything goes well. Please keep us posted.
And congrats on the loss!!! 30 pounds?!?!?! AWESOME!!! I'm so proud of you. I knew you could do it, and I'm glad to see you succeeding. Keep up the good work! |
Afternoon all,
ROCKER: I will definitely keep your granny in my thoughts and prayers. I hope everything will be alright. Congrats on your loss. WOW! 30 lbs. that's so awesome. Way to go! VIVA: You were writing about those Pinnani's (I can't spell) from Lean Cusine. Well, my mum just called me up and was raving about them. She said she went to the supermarket this morning and bought some because they are on sale this week. I had to laugh, because she had no idea you guys were talking about them. Maybe I can try one instead of eating a JC lunch or something. I'll check with JC tomorrow when I go. They sound really good. HI TWIDDLE!! Hope all is well. SPILLIE: We miss you! Hope you're having a good time on your trip! Nothing else much new to report on this end. It's been a quiet day, so far. Hope you all are doing well. Talk to you later! |
Thanks you guys...don't know what I'd do w/o you! Still no word...my stomach cringes each time the phone rings too. I thought I would have heard something by now!
On a different note, ROCKER's done with 128oz. of water!!!!!!! :carrot: |
http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_8_12v.gif ......ROCKER is soooooo sleeeeeppppppyyyy. WTF? She eats right, exercises and yet feels like she's gonna go face first onto her keyboard!!!!

Hi Guys,
Pardon me while I sit on my sofa and check my email while I watch The Food Network. ROCKER: Your Granny is in my thoughts! Let us know when you hear something! :grouphug: And CONGRATS on the 30 lbs!!!! You're doing great and you're my inspiration! Keep up the phenomenal work!!!! We'll have to celebrate with a MEXI-SALAD!!! DUTCHIE: That's too funny about the Paninis!! Yes, check to see if you can substitute one of those for a meal (like lunch or something) because they are so yummy. I counted how many I have and there are 15 of them in my freezer in my basement...oops. Good luck at WI!! TWIDDLE: I forget what I was going to say. But good luck at WI on Thursday and I'll send you skinny vibes! Maybe I picked up what you lost!!! Okay...well I'm going to go watch a movie or be lazy or something... :D |
Just wanted to share a food find...
I picked up this Tai Pei General Tso's Chicken pail that I found with the frozen foods (this is what it looks like: http://www.vipfoods.com/images/produ...0077-00125.jpg) - it's only 4 points for the whole pail, and you throw it in the microwave. I made some brown rice to have with it, and it's a big portion. It is on the spicy side, but it's delish!! I feel like I'm eating take out! The chicken isn't crunchy like when you get it from the Chinese restaurant, but definitely good and not bad on points at all! |
Good morning chicklets!
Holy **** on high water out there! What a mess!! How is it where you are? All the traffic lights coming out from my development to Street Road were out, including the one at Street Road, where I have to make a left-hand turn to get to 95. Yikes!! The electricity was out altogether in that area, including 7-11, Dunkin' Donuts, and Wawa. There'll be plenty of grumpy people out there this morning who couldn't get their coffee!! And the train was really late, as well. Ugh. Hopefully that's the extent of what will happen in our area. Made mini turkey loaves last night for dinner, and they were quite yummy. I was going to workout, but by the time I got done at the grocery store (got 6 more paninis!! :D ), and got dinner made, it was almost 8:00. So then I just sacked out on the couch for the evening. One thing I noticed, which kinda freaked me out, in a good way...I saw actual muscles on my arms. It was really weird. Even without flexing, there's definition there. Wow. I was pretty psyched about that...an NSV of sorts, I guess. Not much else going on here. ROCKER - Any word yet on your grandmother? I'm still thinking of her and praying that everything went well. DUTCHIE - Hope things continue to be quiet for you. VIVA - You just had to rub it in that you were home, didn't you? :p Hope you all have a great day, and drink that water!! I'll check back in later. |
Good morning. Crazy weather out there. No lights or power out here, but the wind is crazy, and it won't stop raining!
TWIDDLE: That's a great NSV! Congrats!!! I brought a Panini for lunch - yum! Steak & Cheese. DUTCHIE: Hi, good luck today! Is it your WI day? ROCKER: It's about time you roll out of bed!! LMAO! Wake up and then check in with us ;) OK...got things to do...not even sure I'm going to this meeting at 10am since I gotta get this crap done! Stay dry! |
Morning everyone...just got in and have an appt any minute now. Lots of lights out so I had to do some backtracking to get here....NOT what I was planning on. GRRRRR.
Went to the gym this morning and did what was probably my hardest workout yet. People even came up to me and remarked about my determination! I have things to tell you family wise but can't right now....will as soon as I get done with this appt, which will prolly take about 45 minutes or so...have to go to both buildings. Gotta go! |
