Yeah, I read this morning that the deal was likely. Not sure if that's okay for us or not...guess we'll see!

Oh, one other thing I forgot to mention about MasterCook...if you set up your meal plan using recipes in the system, you can create a shopping list, too. Then you can see what you have, what you need, and add things if you need things that aren't a part of the recipes. If it's something it recognizes, it'll populate what section the food is in. You can then sort the list by section, so everything for a section is listed together. I haven't figured out how to add ingredients, etc., yet, but I know you can do that too, and add the NI so it'll recognize it in the future. Pretty neat stuff!

SPILLIE 01-06-2006 02:09 PM

So all it needs to do is make the actual meal for you. hee hee. How much does this thingy cost? Sounds like something even I would like to have.

SPILLIE - I think it's $20. I got it as a Christmas present, but I think I read that it can be found for $19.99 or something like that. Check out amazon.com or Best Buy or Circuit City...places like that.

ROCKER - The only problem is, it's at home and I'm usually only on here at work. But if you want some good recipes using certain ingredients, and don't need them that day, let me know and I'll look some up for you! :) I still have about 900 or so of my own recipes to add to the thing. I'm a recipewhore...I've hardly made any of them, but I like knowing I have options! And hopefully I'll start using more of them now.

THANKS!

Thanks TWIDDLE-DEE, I'll look into it. Sounds like a nice gadget to have around. I have a whole bunch of recipes that I need to organize. Like you I have them and rarely if ever use them. I also like to know that I have the different options, but then I end up creating my own little diddy's to eat.

Afternoon all...

I finally get the chance to come on here. I've been reading the posts all day and then when I want to reply, I get interrupted here at work. What's up with that? Can't people see that I am busy?

Nothing much going on here. Got a phone call from my doctor's about my hip. The x-rays came out okay, but they said that there is a lot of calicum build up or something like that? That doesn't make sense to me. I am still trying to figure out why they took an x-ray of my hip when it's my leg that's bothering the heck out of me. Go figure.

So, do you guys have any special plans for the weekend? I was hoping to relax after all the excitement from the holidays, but it won't happen. Have a bridal shower to go to tomorrow and then on Sunday, we are celebrating my grandfather's 95th birthday. He turned 95 on December 24th, but we were all so busy and couldn't get everyone together to celebrate. So, Sunday is the day. I can't believe he's 95.

Okay, well, I just thought I'd say hello to you all. Have a good weekend if I don't get the chance to get back on here. Ya'll take care!

Just got an email from my dad....they just got home from being with my granny all day at the hospital. She had to go in for some tests where they shoot this dye into her legs. As a result she has to have another stint put in the same leg they did 3 years ago. She almost didn't make it thru that procedure then. I dunno when her surgery will be. Dad said she's resting comfortably and sleeping now at home. I will wait til tomorrow to call her. She can't do anything for two days.

DUTCHIE: hello! Great to hear from you! No big plans here...hopefully will unwind a bit from being in FL and getting back to work after being off so long! I'm not really feeling that great either so I'm just gonna hang this weekend. Will do the usual cleaning, gym and that fun stuff.

BYE CHICKIES...HAVE A GRAT WEEKEND!

twiddle-my-thumbs 01-09-2006 08:17 AM

Good morning chicklets!

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was pretty uneventful. Had a couple of friends over on Saturday night, but otherwise, it was basically a slug-fest. Our DVD player went down yesterday...bummer! It's only a few months old, so hopefully we can get it fixed.

I'm sick as a dog right now. I think everyone's spreading it at work. I may leave early, depending on what I can get done. My throat is so sore, and my nose is congested, although I'm not really coughing or sneezing, which is good.

Got a good run in on Saturday, but that's it for exercise. And I got my meal plan together for this week, so I'm going to the store tonight to get everything. Time to get back on track! Giant didn't have the LC Paninis, and I never made it to Acme on Friday...maybe tonight.

That's it for me! Hope you all had a good weekend. Get your water bottles filled and ready to go!!

RockerChick 01-09-2006 08:19 AM

Morning CHICKIES! How was your weekend? Mine was ok--nothing special. I went up .4 at WI :( .....I was disappointed but I didn't let it get me down too much. I've worked so hard at the gym since I've been back from FL....I'm hoping it's b/c of that since I wasn't able to work out there for over three weeks. I kicked it up another notch yesterday b/c I was so pissed that I gained. Hopefully I will lose this week.

Not much else is new so I guess I better get working. TWIDDLE, VIVA, SPILLIE & DUTCHIE: have a great day!

RockerChick 01-09-2006 08:20 AM

Feel better TWIDDLE!

twiddle-my-thumbs 01-09-2006 08:57 AM

Thanks, Rocker! Please don't let that tiny little gain demotivate you. It sounds like it actually motivated you to work harder, so that's good. You've been working really hard, and have seen the results. I think you're right about the FL break from exercise. Just keep up the good work, and you'll see better results this week, for sure!

SPILLIE 01-09-2006 09:02 AM

Good Morning Chicas,

I hope all had a good weekend. I spent mine running around trying to get some stuff done before I felt so overwhelmed...it didn't work, I'm so stressed out and over what, it's only my husband that I'm going to see after not seeing for 3months. How stupid?!? :o

DS had his interview on Saturday with one of the HS he applied to and he thinks it went well. We'll see soon enough. We have another interview on Wednesday, thank God it's before we leave, that way I don't have to worry about him missing any of his interviews.

Nothing more to tell, nothing else happened this weekend. It was pretty much just running around. I still have to get my hair done and buy a few more things but other than that I am basically done. Well off to get my coffee and get caught up so that I can leave with a peaceful mind about work. :dizzy:

HI VIVA, DUTCHIE, TWIDDLE AND CHICKIE!!!

HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

SPILLIE 01-09-2006 09:07 AM

TWIDDLE hope you feel better soon, I was sick all last week and I'm feeling better now, still have the stuffy head, but at least I don't feel tired.

CHICKIE you are doing so great, don't let this little up on the scale stop you. You have been losing steadily and it's like you said...the not working out and then starting up again is probably the reason. Stay on it, it is paying off.
