I'm so excited about the possibility of Queens Wildfire and Arabella meeting. When's it gonna happen and yes, I want to see a photo too! Lucky Ducks!!!!

Still struggling [and I don't know why ] with getting fully back on track. Things are going well with me, maybe I'm feeling some stress on my friends' behalf?

Amarantha, I'm thrilled that you didn't go away for 2 weeks and I'm going to check out the calorie counters thread right now!

Yo, Court! Good news. dh seems to have turned a corner. They gave him food today. And say that (with any kind of luck) he'll be home Tues or Wed. He's had 7 units of blood. Can't say who's more eager for him to be here, me or him. Probably him as he's the one who's been poked and prodded. And thankfully, his kidney numbers are also again looking good enough to avoid dialysis. Whew! Going to try to take a nap before I go back over. These have been long days, subsisting a lot on slimfast bars and water so maybe.........

Hello all!

Anagram! So glad to hear good news about DH...Continuing to send good thoughts!

Empress! Oooppsss... meant to mention you were missed... meant to send support and good thoughts your way too!

Eydie! I can relate! Seems I've been in the same range for a long time! Think I should check my stats so I know how long its really been....

Cerise! What does one do when Poultry sitting?? I am curious.

Yo! Dunno why but I can't stay away from here even when I be on hiatus! Huzzah!

Yowza, Anagramatic, that's good news about dh!!! for him. He sounds like a fighter and he's been through so much ... you both have, but the future's sounding brighter!

Thanks for the support and good thoughts, K! My new job isn't going well and I think it's a sign that I need to retire from the profession and do something that makes me happier. I just don't know what that is.

First I need to get off this extra weight ... 10 pounds from my low weight this year (actually 10.5, but who's counting?)!

E, thanks for joining the Calorie Counters Clublette!!! We're gonna kick some serious Demon Calorie b*** in the next few weeks, right?!!! Right!

To all, mentioned and unmentioned, avanti and sorry for the lack of individual replies. I have a headache the size of Pittsburgh (have had it for a week). Tomorrow is going to be a 14-hour day. I'll be checking in at the CCC ...

Cool A new week

Fly-by postie. Not feeling fully well this morning, and wondering if this isn't the carb connection again. I really noticed a difference when I kept them low. So... this morning I had eggs & yogurt with a sprinkling of ground flax seed. We'll see. But I really remember this fatigue and kind of low-level crumminess as being more-or-less constant when I eat a lot of carbs. And being shocked by its absence when I didn't. So it's definitely worth a shot. I've been able to lose weight either way (sloooooooowly, in either case) but don't suffer the cravings when I keep the carbs low & healthy. Probably this is an individual thing, but it sure makes a world of difference for me.

Amarantha, I am so sorry to hear about the job not working for you. And 14-hour days are about twice as long as they should be, too. Glad you can't stay away from us though -- Huzzah!!!

Anagram, that's such good news about your DH!!! Keeping up the good thoughts...

Ceara, nice to see you checking in! I don't know why it is, but looking after poultry always seems so picturesque to me. I like to think of myself on a little farm, going out early in the morning, singing, and scattering the feed whilst the birdies flocked around. Prolly is not so much like that though...

Kaylets, I'm with you on the shortness of weekends! What say we switch, do 2 day work weeks and 5 day weekends?

wsw, congrats on the tidying. I'm trying to get my place up to code by Saturday, because we're having a big party (for my 49th, which is actually on Sunday). One of my sisters wanted to have a party for me, but DH said it's more fun to have them here. Yup --- lots more work, too

Wildfire

Eydie, Wildfire and I are lucky indeed to have the chance to meet up, and we'll definitely manage to get a photo for the rest of the royalty. She's found a great place for us to go for dinner called .... The Wildfire Grille!

Cerise, are you there, Darling?

K -- I'm behind on my work (yeah, what else is new ). I know if I'm organized and disciplined I can get it done and still manage to enjoy life. That's my goal for today. Love to all! Let's make this a good one!

ceara-hope your week of restoration while dh and ds are away will be soothing and relaxing.

wildfire-a little cleaning/organizing sure does make a world of difference. it did indeed lift my spirits. your lamp find sounds great! it is amazing what kinds of treasures are out there.

anagram-so glad to hear dh is doing better! sending lots of good thoughts your way.

hi eydie, kaylets, amarantha, and arabella! and to all other royals, mentioned or unmentioned. i am thinking of you all.

it is storming here now and has been in the evenings quite a bit recently. noticing that because the place is still a bit new to me that when i am in a different spot when storming outside, i am still not completely used to the noise/sounds. some branches hit against my living room window a moment ago, and it took me a while to realize what it was. very glad that it was just the branches, i must say! well, need to get to bed, but just wanted to check in. staying op and keeping up with exercise, so pleased about that. take care, all.
