Hello ladies. How is everyone? Well, I hope. Today is MONDAY!!! It was the first day of class for me. Since I'm actually doing my nursing class online this semester, I only had to go in for orientation and things we are unable to do over the internet...paperwork, etc. I was quite nervous leaving the baby with daddy..and it's my daughter's birthday and although we celebrated ALL weekend long, it was a little heartbreaking to not be here when she woke up and stuff. However, the day went great! I got home earlier than expected and no one was home. They had gone for a walk. Little Trevor was as happy as can be and Daddy was also in good spirits. I was very pleased. Although there was a HUGE mess from breakfast..it was nice to see that he had made waffles (my daughter's favorite).

I'm excited about doing school online this semestser. Hopefully it will enable me to get in here as often as I like!

My daughter starts school tomorrow....we've prepared goodies for her class for her birthday. What a way to make friends on the first day!

As for food..NOT GOOD! I got so frustrated with ATkins and not losing. I am now breaking every rule...however, later in the week, I will start a new program. I will let you know how it works out.

Cyan, read your journal. Sounds like you had an awesome experience and met a cute guy in the process! Tell me more!

Hope we can all get in here and post more!

Lisa

Hi, girls! Sorry to have missed the last few days--more meetings at school, and I've been getting my classroom done--yesterday I finally got there--I am so tired!!!!!--but it looks so-o-o-o good, and I'm so excited!!! School starts Monday. I've got a lot of lesson planning to do this weekend, along with laundry, grocery shopping, a mom-daughter birthday party I'm taking my 9 year-old to, a desperately needed haircut, and shuttling 13 year-old to church this morning so she can be an altar server for a funeral Mass (mother of my next door neighbor died). Somehow I'll manage to get it all in. Food this week has been crazy because of lack of food in the house and my crazy schedule. I don't think I've gained. I'm going to buy lots of healthy things today, along with stuff to make easy but healthy dinners. Hubby is working 60 hours a week to keep up with the Ford assembly plant near here, so house is pretty much mine to manage, along with girls. If in the future you hear about some new Ford/Mercury cars called the Ford 500, the Ford Freestyle, and the Mercury Montego, those are the cars he helps assemble dashboard components for.

Yesterday we got our car out of the shop--another new transmission!! It seems that the first one they put in had something wrong with it. Thank goodness this one was free too, along with the rental car I had. Also, we're in the process of working to get the bathroom floor replaced by a contractor who did the ceramic tile floor in our downstairs bathroom 12 years ago--excellent work--we'll probably get an estimate next weekend, and then schedule the work to be done.

Well, I'm going to go--I'm looking for a globe for my classroom on-line. The school was going to buy me one, but budget is very tight, so I told principal I'd get one myself. Three weeks ago I saw them all over the place--not too expensive--$30.00 or less. Now I can only find really expensive ones--no thank you with a bunch of kids having their hands all over it. Talk to everyone later.
