Wow! This has been a busy place. Hello to all the new people. We are so glad to have you here with us.

I really feel a lot of energy here. Let's keep it up ladies and we soon will be down at those scales! I feel renewed just reading the posts today.

I am happy to report a 3.6 lb loss last night at TOPS weigh-in.
This morning at work a co-worker said to me "You look really thin today". Wow! Did that feel great.

I sometimes use Friday's as a cheat day, but I'm not going to do that anymore. Because who am I cheating? ME! I allow myself to have more than I know I should and then I have to go through the sugar withdrawl all over again. So, no over-indulgence for me anymore. No more cheat days. I might have a special something every once in awhile but I will not over-specialize any food item anymore.

My goal is 10 more lbs lost before the cruise. It's 6 weeks away. I think that is very doable.

Have a great day everyone and I promise you will see me here more. I've missed to much this week!

Debbie: I would love to catch up with you in Dayton, OH. It's only 45 min from me. PM me and I'll give you my phone #.

Hey everyone,
It's been crazy today. One minute dh says we a still going on our trip. Then in just a few short minutes he's says "maybe we should wait till fall". I just wish he could make up his mind. Our marriage is one of those..."What do you want to do..I don't care whatever you want.. When I make up my mind he comes up with some reason to change the plan...It's his mother and brother we are going to check on. Thanks for letting me vent.
Eating has been bad but it's not suprising because I'm a nervous eater.

Hi Everyone,

Stevi: Congrats on getting into the 'teens!!! If Tiff's the secret to making the scales budge, send some good Ju Ju my way!

Debbie: You're an inspiration with 77 lbs. lost. How long did it take?

I've been on my diet for 7 days now and finally the scale budged...I'm down two pounds!!! I've been using an online site to record what I eat and it's really helping me limit my eating. If anyone wants to check it out it's fitday.com. I'm getting from 1200 - 1900 calories each day, but feel a little hungry at night. I don't think I've felt hungry in years!

Hope your will power is holding strong over the weekend! This is usually when I want to curl up on the sofa, watch movies, and pig out.

Joan

Hey everyone,

I went to a wedding last night, thought it would be hard to be good. I was a little bad, it was turkey dinner with stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc. I only filled half my plate and barely ate that. The only other things I had in eaten in the morning at home was my morning shake and a little yogurt. I TOTALLY SKIPPED OVER THE CAKE AT THE RECEPTION!!!! I am in love with cake but I didn't even have one piece. I am sooo proud of myself. I consumed a few cocktails (vodka & diet coke) but even when I factored in those calories, I beleive I was under 1600 for the day. Not bad for a night out. They may not have been the best foods or beverages, but at least I didn't eat or drink them in excess. Well, I gotta run and pick up my kids, talk to ya all later.

I'm sending enough JuJu out for everyone!!!

Hello,
It is a hot day here in Ohio. I'm staying in the house until evening. I've got a bunch of TOPS stuff I'm working on. I was starting to feel a little overwhelmed by it so I thought it was a good idea to get it all done and out of the way. I'm not done with it yet but I needed a small break.

I've got a walk planned this evening. I'll go about 8:30 p.m. when it's cooler. I can take heat; I just can't take the sun beating down on me.

Tiff: Great job on skipping the wedding cake. I'm not sure I could have done it.

Stevi: Great job at the scales!!

Joan: I've used fitday before. It is a GREAT site..thanks for reminding me of it. Great job on the 1st loss you have had. Keep it up.

Deb: Don't stress....don't be nervous...I don't want you to eat due to that emotion. Remember: I will control my emotions and not let my emotions control me. If you make it to Ohio..call me! Or call me anytime you need a hand up...or a kick in the pants!

Holly: How are you feeling from the Yoga class now? Don't give it...that soreness you feel is your body working the way it should, the way it was designed to. Soon you will be feeling great.

Ok..back to my TOPS project.
Later,
Susie

I guess if dh doesn't change his mind overnite we leave as soon as he gets off in the morning. I will miss ya'll. Everyone have a great, sucessful week.

Susie: I'll call. I was praying for cooler weather but it looks like we are going to be disappointed.

Joan: On Jan 4 2004. I weighed 306lb so it has been a long struggle. But now I know I can...and I will!!!

Good Evening Ladies,
Had a much busier day than yesterday. I try to get as much of the "Hard to bring the baby along stuff done" on the weekends as DH is with him but yesterday we all layed around and watched movies. So today I had to get in all in. Got a 4.5 walk/jog in. Finished in 76 minutes. HOOT! From that point on I was on a roll.
Debbie~ Thats a major accomplishment! Are you still on your journey or is this a different one? I did the math...you are almost there!!!
Susie~ Sorry if I sound silly but I keep hearing about TOPS and I have no idea what it is.
Tiff~ In the 3 months I've been doin' this I must have done the Ol' "I'm gonna just enjoy myself tonight" 5 times only to still come in under. I'm afraid of feeling sick mostly. WTG!
Joan~ I use fitday as well. Its a pretty crutial tool in my accountability.

Hi Everyone,

Well it's officially Monday and I've been good on my diet for one week! I'm not telling too many people about my diet (yeah, yeah, yeah, they've heard it before), but I got a look of surprise when I refused a cookie. Not much exercise yet, but at least I moved around a little painting our porch and moving some furniture.

Now that I've lost a couple of pounds I'm motivated to go to the Y tomorrow. I've only been there a few times in the past two years...despite paying the @$#! membership fee. That must average out to $200 per visit! Yikes!

Stevi: 4.5 miles is great! How often do you walk/jog?
Debbie: Hope you don't see this for a week and that you have fun (and no stress) on your trip. Congrats on losing 77 lbs. so far. I know how hard it is to even drop 10, so you must be super motivated.
Susie: I don't know what TOPS is either. I can take the heat, too, but not the humidity. I was drenched in sweat just sitting on the porch today. Can't wait until Fall when it's good walking weather.
Tiff: Good job avoiding that cake!!!

Have a great week!
Joan

Joan~ It depends. 4x a week at the least, 6x at the most. I play it by ear. Sometimes I do it at the gym. Usually when its too hot outside! I get weight training then but I have to wait for DH to get home from work to be with the baby. So we generally go out in the jogging stroller.
