Default Good Tuesday Morning!

Good Morning Gang!!!
I have WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!!!!
I am in 'ONE'-DERLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I weighed myself this Morning and was (drumroll please!)
198.5!
Can you guys believe it!
I am on

I want to Thank you all for your gracious support! I just wouldn't have stuck it out without your believe in me. I was so ready last week to give up... I get so tired after my workouts and the days events... there's nothing left in me. Plus I belong to another Forum and I am finding it a bit difficult scheduling my time on the computer and my days activities. Whew!

*A bit of personal news* My father went in yesterday morning to have a cath. (don't know how to sp it ) done on his heart and all went well... I am so relieved! He is too young! His heart is so badly damaged from previous heart attacks, so the procedure was frightening, but all went well and he won't have to have any future surgeries if he continues to stay on his program and rests when he should.

Well guys, I am sorry to make this brief but I must be off and running. I have another full day ahead. Thank you again for all your support!
You all have been great to me! I'm not going anywhere... just grateful to you
Always,
SunnyD

Default Dieters devotions for March 23, 2004

March 23

Psalm 25:12
What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

A group at the church decided to help one another lose weight. A friend of one of the members joined the weight-loss group, even though he wasn't a Christian. After four or five sessions, the young man left the group, saying, 'I thought we would help each other not eat. I didn't know you planned to pray and study the Bible. That junk won't help anyone.' As it turned out, the group was quite successful. The young man failed because he wouldn't entertain the idea that God could be any help. Those who be-lieved in God trusted in Him, and they were rewarded.
Today's thought: God is my secret weapon for success!

Hello I Need some support! A 15 boy that went to our church and used to go to school with my DD's was killed is a car acc. this weekend. The person who was driving was a 16 yr old girl who was speeding and lost control crossed over into an oncomming truck the car just wrapped around the truck. My heart just breaks for his family. My 16 yr old took it real hard. It was a real eye opener for her. I have a DR appt. Wens. It is with my reg. Dr. to follow up with some of my meds. I see the specialist on Fri. I have been feeling better then I over do it and then my back hurts. (I would rather my back than my stomach!) It sounds like everyone is doing well with the weight loss. I am so happy for everyone! I am behind on reading the posts so I will catch up with all of you later!

My prayers are with you!

Hello God, I called tonight
To talk a little while

I need a friend who'll listen
To my anxiety and trial.

You see, I can't quite make it
Through a day just on my own...

I need your love to guide me,
So I'll never feel alone.

I want to ask you please to keep,
My family safe and sound.

Come and fill their lives with confidence
For whatever fate they're bound.

Give me faith, dear God, to face
Each hour throughout the day,

And not to worry over things
I can't change in any way.

I thank you God, for being home
And listening to my call,

For giving me such good advice
When I stumble and fall.

Your number, God, is the only one

That answers every time.

I never get a busy signal,

Never had to pay a dime.

So thank you, God, for listening

To my troubles and my sorrow.

Good night, God, I love You, too,

And I'll call again Tomorrow!!

Default Overwhelmed by how much weight you have to lose?

Dr. Phil's Tip of the Day

If you're overwhelmed with how much weight you have to lose, and it seems like you'll never be able to climb that mountain, here's some good news.

Excessive eating happens in less than five minutes a day. You have certain periods during your day that maybe are associated with a location, maybe it's associated with a time of day, or maybe it's
associated with an activity. Identify your high-risk times and those are the only moments that really threaten you.

It's called "impulse eating" and if you'll identify those specific moments during your day and make sure that you're performing some incompatible behavior, you'll get past the impulse moments and won't struggle the rest of the day.

Identify them and do something incompatible at that point in time.

Thanks Sunny Kevin's family needs your prayers. I guess the news is the girl driving was speeding and came upon a slower car and got into the next lane and that upset the driver behind them. Then he made a hand gesture and they made one back then the guy started tailgating and then got beside them and acted like he was going to hit them and she going in her lane and she lost comtrol and went across the highway into a oncomming truck. The guy then took off but another car followed and got the plate #. Just think one moment of rage cost the life of two people!
Angellover Thank you for the poem. I really needed it!
Sprout thank you for your tip. You keep us going.

Well the Dr. Is running some test but he wants to see what the speicalist says. I was happy that I haven't gained any weight. And have keep my 10 off.

Well got to go Prayers for you all.

We all loved the song when we were children & still sing louder than the kids when we hear it now. Here's a new version for us as we grow older. Thought you might enjoy!

JESUS LOVES ME!

Jesus loves me, this I know,
Though my hair is white as snow.
Though my sight is growing dim,
Still He bids me trust in Him.

(CHORUS)

YES, JESUS LOVES ME... YES, JESUS LOVES ME...
YES, JESUS LOVES ME FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO.

Though my steps are oh, so slow,
With my hand in His I'll go.
On through life, let come what may,
He'll be there to lead the way.
(CHORUS)
Though I am no longer young,
I have much which He's begun.
Let me serve Christ with a smile,
Go with others the extra mile.
(CHORUS)

When the nights are dark and long,
In my heart He puts a song.
Telling me in words so clear,
"Have no fear, for I am near."
(CHORUS)

When my work on earth is done,
And life's victories have been won.
He will take me home above,
Then I'll understand His love
(CHORUS)

I love Jesus, does he know?
Have I ever told Him so?
Jesus loves to hear me say,
That I love Him every day.
(CHORUS)

Default Hi there!

Spring has sprung I think. It was so nice out I got a little raking done yesterday and some outside clean-up. Angel-I love the song Jesus Loves Me - that is a version I have never heard thanks for sharing. I also enjoyed the poem. Sami- pray you get answers on Friday, and easy solutions, also pray for the families of both kids. Sprout thanks for hint from Dr. Phil., need all help I can get. I gotta go bowling soon, but going back to movies tonight to re-see the passion, taking some friends that really need to see it, and pray it makes an impact on their lives. Well gotta run, but your all in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless!

GOOD DAY LADIES

Just sitting here finishing off some more -- I couldn't drink much yesterday, I have had a cold for over a week then yesterday I think I had the flu on top of it-- stomach problems etc. We are slow at work today so I took off to get better-- feeling much better now, hope it lasts!

Today is my son's 23rd birthday-- WOW do I feel old now!

Sorry for not posting much but with RYLEE and all the sports going on this time of year it has been hard--- I WON'T LEAVE but may not be here quite as much as before-- at least until RYLEE can take care of herself after I get home-- by the time I get done cleaning up her daily mess (She has been very good about the pee and poo pad!) and then playing with her-- so excited to see me (ahh) there isn't much time before I head off to one of the kids games-- I have been taking her always-- she is such a hit right now! being a puppy-- took her up to Ron's first tennis lessons this week and 2 basketball games, to my step-d softball game Sat. then again tonight-- Friday she gets a bath and then I will take her to my daughter's tennis match at her college--the girls are soo looking forward to seeing the real her and not just pictures! I'LL QUIT BRAGGIN' ABOUT HER NOW

SUNNY CONGRATULATIONS on ONEDERLAND I am so proud of you! You have been working very hard the last few months and now you are reaping the benefits!! Don't get lazy on me now girl!! Just cause you are almost skin and bones!! Hope your flowers are blooming now. Angie and I bought more roses and herbs and veggies last week-end--RYLEE just loves to eat roses! I think they are her favorite chew toy--Angie not happy Glad to hear the tests went well with your father which reminds me to ASK ALL OF YOU for prayers for my BIL, sister's husband-- he has been having some problems, with his heart the drs. thought, they medicated him then he had a heart attack, they think from the meds, they tested him and say his heart is OK it is something else, running tests to find out-- he is at home and OK? for now. His name is Mike, my sis and him have been married for 30 years, he is 48. How are the boys? and Joe?
Bet he is getting excited about the new you

SPROUT Sorry to hear you were sick, as you can see I was/am too. Take it slow getting back to the walks and Curves- as long as you keep trying is all that matters, just don't over do it! Hope the boy is doing well. Glad to see you are starting a better eating plan-- stick with it okie-dokie

MICHELE Great news you and Charlie hitting it off so well! Must be nice for a change not worrying if he will call or not! I sure did like the movies you saw the other night with him. Angie bout the CD of Chicago soundtrack. Hope work and Alpha are going well for you.

SUE How was bowling and the basketball game? it is so nice to see the support you give to your neice! Raking already Wish I could send some of our sun to you. The weather has been changing daily here though, one day gorgeous, the next foggy then sun then fog, a little rain yesterday--AH quit complaining Gary Hope you enjoy the Passion again, I will see it again with my daughter, I pray the movie (through our great LORD) encourages your friends!

SAMI Prayers for the family of Kevin. It is so sad to see young people die from such stupid things! To be honest I have had my moments of road rage-- never running any one off the road but shaking my fist at people or pulling up along side them--STUPID!!! HOWEVER-many times I just shrug it off (using a few choice words I am not proud of) Just one second of being mad sure can ruin many lives. Last week some road rage in our area led to the passenger, a 17 yr. old girl, being shot in the head when the driver of her car gave the finger to the other driver, one of his passengers had a gun and fired at the driver but missed and hit the girl- now several people are in big trouble. A friend of our's daughter's boyfriend is up for big trouble too-- he is 19 and allowed some younger high school kids handle a loaded gun he had, one 17 year old held it to his own head- it went off and now he is dead and many more lives shattered over KIDS TRYING TO BE COOL. Hope you get HOPE from the specialist on Friday.

ANGEL Thanks for the poem and song. I hope all is going well with the insurance and rebuilding. How is the family doing with the return from Iraq?

WILMA I hope all is well with you and your family. Has the PLANNING worked out for you? Hope you are busy at Curves and still LOOOOSING sizes!!

Well gonna go try and feel better...........IN HIS LOVE, Gary

Hi everybody....

Such beautiful weather!

Hope everyone is doing well. I don't have a lot of time these days. Our son is still drug-free. Working with a lawyer to do what he can for his 2 little girls. They are soooo attached to him!

The house is beginning to speed up a little. With son's divorce, we have to get the house in living condition, & the girls a room of their own, to be able to even have them for the weekend. He'll be on his own when he gets more settled. For now, though, he needs our help. Just keep praying for him.

We got a small settlement from Maytag. Not near enough....but, the attorney said we'd do better to settle & go after the store that sold the range to us....didn't want to....but, they DIDN'T do us right in a lot of ways....& we need our house finished.

Hope all have a great weekend! I'm still praying for all of you.

Default Good Morning Friends!

It's another blustery day here in Manitoba. Yesterday we thought spring was here but winter is just not wanting to leave.

I am sitting here in my new suit for work (1 size smaller!!!) and waiting until it's time to head off for work. I have been doing well with my snacking and am now trying to get my dinners under control. I weigh in at Curves next week. Hopefully I have met my challenge of 5 lbs or 5 inches in the month of March. I'll keep you posted.

Gary: We KNEW that Rylee would capture your heart but we won't say WE TOLD YOU SO! We miss having you around here. Please keep posting!

Sunny: WAY TO GO!!! Another milestone conquered. It's only down from here.

Hi to everyone else! DS just came upstairs and is trying to talk so I better get going.

Have a super day!
