Good Morning girls!! I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Okay, we NEED to get this thread moving again!!! We have a couple more months and then it is back into shorts for everyone. I for one cant squeeze into my shorts as it stands right now so now is the time to do something about it. Are ya with me?? My goals for this month are to lose 8 pounds and to make sure I get in some form of exercise.

Are ya wondering where my steam came from? Me too. Jay decided to try to diet with me so maybe this will be my boost. That and I am sick of wearing my stretch jeans and t shirts everyday. I have these nice little clothes and I let myself gain back 30 pounds...again. I wont quit. This will be a battle for me for the rest of my life. I just have to remember that.

Well, the sun is shining today and it is supposed to hit a high of 30 degrees.WOOHOO!!!! Me and Jay took the dogs for a walk around the block. It is only 1 1/2 miles but since I havent exercised for a month I definately felt it. I also did my treadmill yesterday even though the food intake was bad.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Hey guys. Sorry I didn't pop in over the weekend. We had company. I figured it would be rude if I walked out of the room to play on the puter.

Anyway, I have gained all 5 lbs back. I am not certain if it is b/c I am PMSing or if it was the food I shouldn't have eaten. I am sure it is a little of both. I am in the thing too now. Joe said that he is going to start working out so I am hoping that I can join in with him. I think like you said Angie it is better when you have someone doing it with you.

I am going to try not to bore or bring you all down about work today but lets just say, I HATE IT HERE!!!!!

Ok, now I need to get back to this terrible thing I call work. Be back later.

Default Back in "The Zone"

Welcome to February ladies. I braved the WI on Saturday and was actually down .4 lbs--yes, I said down. It's not much but I'll take it. I'm ready to get back into zone, the groove...call it what you will. I was sick as a dog yesterday! It was really weird because I woke up feeling a little off, but I went for a walk anyway. I went for my 3.5 mile route and about 3/4 of the way through my stomach started feeling all queasy. To make matters worse it started to rain and I didn't have my umbrella. Anyway, I just kept going and pretty soon this guy on a motorcyle stops on the side of me and asks if I wanted a ride anywhere since it was raining. Hello? #1) I'm walking for exercise, thank you very much and #2) I don't even hop on the back of my own husbands bike, much less when it's raining! So the upside is that I spent most of the day in bed (when I wasn't in the bathroom--sorry if that's TMI) and didn't pig out this weekend.

Kempy you couldn't possibly have gained all 5 lbs back--it's purely bloatation. Too much salt maybe? Since we're all back in the zone I'm sure those pounds will fall right off--I'm speaking from experience many times over .

Angie, "I wont quit. This will be a battle for me for the rest of my life. I just have to remember that." AMEN Sister!!! I'm with ya that's for sure.

How's everyone else hanging in there? I'll be back later.

Good Afternoon

Noelle sorry I did not post my weigh in last Saturday. I agree with Angie we have to get this thread moving again! Well I am down a pound. I was hoping for more but its better than gaining. Anyone watch the superbowl last night? Actually I took a nap during it. I guess if my team is not in it I am not that interested. I would like to lose about 5-10 more pounds by spring. Last summer I didn't even want to take my shorts off with my swim suit on. This year I want to be tan all over my legs and not have shorts mark. Maybe not a bikini this year but a one piece without shorts!

Angie how is the moving plans going? My hus aunt and uncle came in for the funeral last week and they live an hour out of Tampa. They use to live in Miami but I guess they like the area their in better now. I wanted to get a chance to talk to them more about the lifestyle in FL for you but I just could not get a word in with them hardly.

Noelle I hope you are not mad at us, for any of us not posting our weigh ins on Saturday. Sorry I will try to make the next Saturday. I know it helps me to stick to it because it makes me feel responsible for the whole week of eating.

Hi Kempy hope your work day gets a little easier .

Well chat later! Hi to Tonya, Jacks, Cal and everyone else I missed.

Julie, no I'm not mad at all. I like to post my weight because it coincides with my WI's at WW and so the more accountability, the better--even if I gain. I find that more people I tell my results to, the more likely I am to stay on track, well, that's the theory anyway . Congrats on your weight loss, you'll look fabulous in your one-piece I'm sure.

Hi Ladies!! Long time no chat . Life has been so crazy for my family since November. We moved into our new house, I had some tests for a health issue that is still unresolved, and I have been eating too much!! This morning I weighed in at 142.5. I was down to 139, for 2 days I think . I was on the South Beach Diet, but, quit after 5 days....that's how I lost the weight, but, have gained it back.

Angie,

Hi! Have any room in your trunk for a family of 5, lol? I would LOVE to get out of this cold weather for good!! I know you are discouraged because of your weight gain, but, you have come so far, I know you can get back to where you want to be. I hear you about the shorts season approaching, lol. I can sit here and tell myself that it's 4-5 months away, no big deal, but, when I look at how long it takes me to lose weight, it is a big deal!!

Kempy,

Hey! How have you been? Don't fret, the 5 pounds could very well be from PMSing. I wish my husband would do this with me. He is 6'2 and weighs 230-235. When we met 7 years ago, he weighed 190. We have more space in our new house, so, he set up his weight bench, to collect dust, I think. It is so hard to diet when he's eating anything and everything he wants (always junk). It looks so good, and it's soooo hard for me to tell myself I don't need the brownie or chocolate or ice cream.

Noelle,

Hi! Congrats on the weight loss thus far! When I was a teen, I used to walk alot around my city. A few times friends would stop and ask me if I wanted a ride. When I said no, they thought I was crazy, hehe.

Hi to Julie and everyone else!!

Kempy, How much longer do you have in school? Are you going to open your own place as soon as you finish? I am with everyone else. You are just bloated today, it will leave but I know exactly how pissed you must be right now. I cant stand it when I can jump up so quickly. Look, I am at like probably 170 again. I dont dare to step on the scales but geesh, all it took was Thanksgiving to now to do that much damage. YIKES! I am making it a priority to get my but on track so I will be posting more often because I definately need all of you guys to help me.

Noelle, CONGRATS ON THE LOSS!!! A loss is a loss is a loss..... Are you feeling any better today?

Julie, CONGRATS ON YOUR LOSS!!!!!! You guys are my heros!!! Yeah, I watched the Superbowl(Only because there was NOTHING else on) It was a pretty good game though. Did ya catch Janets Boob? I thought it was just a skin colored shirt until the uproar this morning. haha

We have just finally gotten our sign up and we arent even on the MLS listing yet. The realtor seems to be moving at a snails pace. I guess there arent too many people in a hurry to move in the dead of winter either though. I bet it sells this spring when I can open the pool up and it looks so nice out there then.

I think my house is the winter home to some strays. I woke up at 2:30 to a cat fight in my yard and none of them were mine. The tiger came to me for a second today.

So far so good today. I am going to wait until school gets out and try to get in another walk and hopefully not stuff my head tonight. Nights suck because it gets dark so early and it is cold and I live in the boonies so I cant even go window shopping(That is what I used to do before Ames went bankrupt)

HOLLY!HOLLY!HOLLY! I was just thinking about you yesterday!! I am so glad you are back. How is the new house? I'll bet you guys love it.

I think the same way you do. If Jay is eating junk food I cant resist. It is just too hard to do. You have done a great job with your weight. I am proud of you. You went through a move and stress and you have held your own.

Angie if all goes right I will be out of school on July 31. I dodn't take my boards until Oct 15th though. The salon I go to wants me to practice there so I think I will be heading into a salon environment. I worked in one before. I was the receptionist. I liked it but I hated the hours. I would love to be able to go to school full time so I that I can start working sooner. I just don't think the finances would allow that. I am going to go home and look at them though.

Holly so good to see that you have made it back with us. I guess we all need a helping hand right now huh?

Julie I am scared to even put on my fat shorts. At the end of summer they were fitting a little too snug. Joe kept asking me why I never wore shorts anymore. I hated to tell himit was b/c my butt was to big to fit in them.

Noelle I wonder what it was that you had. My sister was feeling funky last night too. She had to leave our house early b/c she needed to lay down.

Holly great to see you back. Congrats on the new house. And I know what it is like to have a junk food junkie hus. Last night mine had the onion dip out and chips and made pillsbury no mix cookies. Boy that was tought to resist. I did have some chips and dip though.

Kempy I want to go through my summer stuff and maybe get some new shorts. I always by the cotton slip on ones that stretch , I want the cute jean ones though.

Angie I actually was drifting off and my hus said I just saw Janet's boob, and I was like what? I do believed they planned it. All part of the act and now they regret it.

Well I have to think of what to make for supper. Doesn't it get boring trying to figure out new things to make everyday. Especially with a picky eater in the house. I wish I was rich like Oprah and just had a prepared healthy meal every night !!!! Julie

Hi Donna. Welcome. We can always use a new friend. These girls are the greatest!!

Julie, Did you see Justin Timberlakes response? He said it was a wardrobe malfunction. hahaha What did you have for supper? I made spaghetti and meatballs. I figured I would do something filling but lowfat.

Kempy, That is awesome that you will already have a new job lined up after graduation. Is the pay really good? I will bet you are getting excited to do something different.

Well, I actually got in 3 miles of walking today. YEAH!!! I wished it was spring. I miss my walks so much. The dogs were so happy. LOL

hehe, I saw Janet's boob but didn't think much of it, after all it was covered by a gold tassel-like thingie--I guess it takes more than that to shock me, eh? It seemed quite fitting that the last line of that JT song is "I'm gonna have you naked by the end of this song"...

Welcome Donna . Please join us, we love new faces and new friends. How are things out in Jersey?

Hey Hey Holly, how the heck've you been??? Congrats on the new house and keeping the weight off . So glad to have you back.

Julie, yeah I wish I was like Oprah too--personal trainer, personal chef...being worth $900M wouldn't hurt either! Oh yeah, sometimes I think being single would be great too

Angie, 3 miles in cool (is that a major understatement?) weather~~you go girl!!! I was going to pick up Michael from school and was enjoying the sun on my face--I guess I've got it good here, huh? We're getting about 81 degrees during the day and 67-72 at night. That's why we say "Hawaii no ka oi" (Hawaii da best!) Wardrobe malfunction huh? Yeah right! I got a picture of the final scene of their act baring it all--I would post it here but I don't want to get censored...

Kempy July 31 is not that far away. How long have you worked at the gym? Are you even going to miss anyone there? It's always exciting to do new things, especially if you aren't happy where you are now. Good luck.

Hello to Tonya, Cal, Jacks, Sarah, Susan...everyone--come out come out wherever you are....
