Julie, We are getting snow right now. I guess it is supposed to snow all day tomorrow. FUN FUN. YUM, Mozzerella sticks. I love those!!

I was so sad to hear that he killed her. That is so scary. What is so hard is that we all got to see her get abducted but there was nothing anyone could do to help her. I definately feel for her family(and his too. Think of what his wife and kids are going through right now)

How is everyones day going so far?

Oh yeah what is everyone doing for supper tonight? I am making crispy chicken with baked potatoes and corn. YUM!!

Noelle, You asked once what Crispy chicken is and I forgot to post it so here it is.
I cut up a boneless breast thin and then I dip it in egg whites and roll in crushed wow chips. I then put it on a baking sheet that has been sprayed with Pam and bake in a 425 degree oven until it is done. Now for mine I load the Red Hot in with the egg whites and I also dump it on top of the chicken in the pan. (I like it HOT!!) I also dip it in it after it is cooked.

Angie your recipe sounds good. I might have to try it. My crispy chicken are usually nuggets out of the box ! This week we have been eating really fattening meals. So I would like to bake some fish or something, but I don't know yet. Plus hus is going to be late from work.

Noelle I feel like I am up 2-4 pounds but I am going to weigh myself tomorrow. Hopefully I won't feel embarrassed posting it . Hope you and everyone else is having a good day. Julie

Hey everyone . I'm so glad it's Friday, nothing special planned this weekend, but heck, it's better than being at work right?

Julie, don't feel bad about putting on a few pounds, that's what accountability is all about right? No pressure about posting though...you know what? I was feeling so sick and queasy last Sunday that I hardly ate a thing. This whole week has been so weird for me because I haven't been eating enough--I'm not eating the amount of "points" I'm supposed to per day. I don't know what it was but I just wasn't hungry which is SO unusual for me . Anyway, you would think that with the reduced amount of food intake, I'd drop a few? Well, on Wednesday my home scale said 174 (this was first thing in the morning after using the bathroom ). anyway, yesterday I got my appetite back. I ate up to my points and this morning when I weighed it said 177??? So WTF? I'm drinking all of my water today and hoping that it's just bloat that'll go away by tomorrow. I was "feeling" skinny up until this morning . We'll see what the verdict is on the WW scale.

Angie, girlfriend, you are doing it!!! I knew you'd get your groove back. Planning is key for the weekends. Thanks for the recipe, that sounds really good. I love hot and spicy food too. I've made chicken really similar to that using just the dried mashed potato mix as batter. Tasty!

Geez, where is everyone today? Getting a jump on the weekend early? I've been wondering where Jacks has gone...think we lost her? I Pm'd her a day or two ago. Hope everything's ok.

Well, while you girls are starting to make dinner, I'm off to get myself some lunch . See ya later.

Hey Donna, I forgot to ask, do you go birding or hunting with Jack? I think CBR's are beautiful dogs. You don't see too many here in Hawaii except for at dog shows and such. I hear they can be a handful if not trained properly, like any dog I guess. We have 2 mixed breed dogs at home. Kai is a black labrador/rottweiler mix and Selena is a chihuahua/terrier mix.

I have a few minutes b4 I have to head to school so I thought I would pop in for a quick hello.

Holly have you ever tried to make brownies w/apple sauce? I made those last week and I didn't feel as guilty eating them. I didn't go crazy but I knew that I had cut out a big amount of fat. I think Betty Crocker brand has the conversion recipe on the back.

Noelle I hope your weigh in goes great this morning. I am going to post another 1.5 lbs down. I hope this is the begining of more weight coming off.

Julie don't feel embarassed if you are up. It is ok after all we are all here for support right?

Angie how is the house selling going? There are a few things that determine how long it would take for your leg hairs to be completely gone but if you started off at 1hr a week you could probably finish both of your legs in 2 1/2 years. I know that sounds long but your wouldn't be going every week the whole time. Plus the legs are a large area. Most people start with face and then move to other areas. Face is what other people see first so they are ready to get rid of that first. Persoanlly I would love for my legs to be cleared first.

Ok, I need to get out of here and hit the books. I will try to check in later.
I hope everyone's weigh in's are good!

Good Morning. I weighed in this morning at 166.5. I guess that is down 1 1/2 pounds for the week.

Kempy, WOW, I was surprised to see your post this morning. CONGRATS on your loss!!! Have fun at school today.

Holly, Dont feel bad. I think it has something to do with Friday officially being the weekend. I had a run in with some crackers and tuna last night myself. If I wasnt so lazy it probably would have been chocolate chip cookies but I refused to walk out to the bakery in the snow.

Noelle, How does the chicken come out using the dried potatoe flakes? It sounds good. Cant go wrong with chicken and potatoes!!

Well, I gots ta get my lazy butt in the shower so I can go grocery shopping. YIPPEE!! I am a party animal.

Default Not for the faint of heart!

Wow! It's great to see you guys posting on a Saturday morning! I just got out of bed and need to jump in the shower soon so I can get ready for my WI. I just may have found the cure for my weekend binges/overindulgences! CAUTION: Those who get queasy easily may want to stop here!!! I was lying in bed last night and caught Oprah on TV with Dr. Oz, a heart specialist who had real examples of human hearts and aortas, etc. taken from people who had donated their bodies to science. THe thing that got me was when they showed a video clip of an autopsy on a man. The physical body didn't even "look" that fat lying on the table, but when they opened him up, they showed all the fat surrounding the organs deep inside the body, there was yellow fat everywhere! Dr. Oz said that it's not the fat you see around your waist or the fat on your arms and legs, it's the fat around your heart and other organs that will kill you. It was so gross to see them lifting stuff out of the body and having to cut away all the fat! Gawd! I will think about that image today and tomorrow when I think I just can't resist some great fatty food. Sorry if the description was a little graphic, but it really made an impression on me.

Holly, one brownie won't throw off a whole week of being OP. Sometimes allowing yourself a treat once in a while keeps you on track. You're doing great and it shows. Bravo on your loss too

Kempy, congrats on your pounds lost! Wow, 2 years for legs does sound like a lot of time but heck, you have the rest of your lifetime hair free after that so it actually sounds not bad--better than waxing or egads, shaving every day!

Angie, I'm proud of you and everyone here for making it through the week and having results! 1.5 lbs is great! I hope to post some positive news when I get back from WW, we'll see.

Well, I'll be back a little later on. Have a great day ladies.

Hi guys !

I had such a busy week :O

Nothing eventful going on here, I weigh in at 126, so I am up a few pounds.. I swear, my body will NOT let me be under 125 -- I dont get it, I am short, I should be able to get to the 120'ish range, O well. I can't starve, I am not a happy person when hungry , I don't know how people can do that, I get the shakes, I get irritable, I want to punch the nearest person....

I swear though, I get my motivation up, I keep track of calories/fat/wwp every day, and a few weeks go by, I slack off ONE day, and for a week straight after that I cannot get back on track. This up and down business is terrible, I hate it. I haven't worked out at all for 2 weeks now, and I feel TOM coming up, so I am not really motivated to do anything at all, I get depressed during this time a lot lately, and it's hard to even get out of bed for work :|

So how's everyone else doing?

Good Saturday Girls

I am so happy to see everyone here this morning. I am staying within my two pound range of going up and down, oh well. With all your guys support that we give each other we will just keep moving on and trying.

Kempy great job on the 1.5 loss. Thats wonderful! Hope you have a great day at school and don't work to hard.

Good luck Noelle on your weigh in. Thanks for getting us all motivated to do this weigh on Saturdays. I saw that show too ! Yuck, huh?

Angie congrats on your 1.5 loss also. You will be back to your 140's before you know it. Have fun at the grocery store. I just dislike going there so much sometimes because I want to buy all the bad stuff.

Tonya we must be on the same schedule. I am about one week away from TOM and I can all ready feel the effects of wanting to eat. I wish I could get in the 120 range. I bet you look beautiful but I know it is frusterating when you try so hard and you just can't get there. I hope you are feeling better! Remember that is what we are all here for, to talk about the ups and downs !

Holly I can't believe it, I had brownies last night too. I thought the kids deserve a treat because they have been staying at the table and eating their supper so well. I guess rewarded myself for eating my suppers so good too . We will have to try Kempy's way of making them with the applesauce.

Check in later. Bye for now.....and Hello to everyone else. Julie

Whew! Just got back from my WI and am down 1.4 lbs . Just 1.6 more lbs to go to get to my first 10% loss. It feels so close yet so far... I am going to try my darndest to get that 10% next week!!!! That would be a great Valentine's present to myself.

Hi Julie and Tonya . Hope your weekends are starting off great.

I guess it didn't really matter to me but the Pro Bowl's tomorrow and all the NFL football players are milling about town. This is such a small island too so if you go anywhere near Waikiki you're bound to see "someone". There's a whole bunch of activity with the pre-game party atmosphere down here, concerts, food booths, meet and greet, etc. I think I'll just stay on my side of the island and chill. Tomorrow will be just another shopping day. Catch the game on the tube if you can and you can see what kind of weather I'm enjoying

I got my grocery shopping done. I bought some Blue Bunny yogurts for this weeks snacks(has anyone had them before? I got a coconut creme one and strawberry ones. as well as some chocolate merengues and some apples. I should be set for the week. I am making a white cake with chocolate glaze for snack later. I figure I am used to junkfooding it on Saturdays so this way I dont feel deprived but it is at least lowfat.

I made it through lunch because I bought Subway yesterday and since I dont like to waste food I had the other half for lunch today. Supper is going to be vermicelli and lobster since I havent had that in forever.

Tonya, You sound just like me. My one bad day always turns into a week. Lately though it turned into months. We can do this girl.

Noelle, CONGRATS on your loss!!! You rock!!

Julie, I almost bought some of the No Pudge Brownies today. Have you ever had them. You make them with yogurt and they are low fat.

Kempy, Lets just say I have my for sale sign up. That is about as far as the realtor has gotten. I am not up on the wall in the office or on the websight yet. It is pissing me off so bad. If I am not up this coming weekend there will be **** to pay. I am ready to move!! I have researched the town(Orange City) as much as I can but I now want to actually see the set up and get going. The town has 6000 people in it and it is near the springs where the Manatees go for the winter so it should draw quite a few tourists through the town.

Gotta check on the cake. I'll be back later.

PS: I LOVE seeing so much action on the thread today. LUV YA GUYS!!!!

Angie I have never seen those before. I would have to say brownies are my favorite. Your cake sounds really good. Enjoy it.

Congrats Noelle !!!! You are doing so good. I will have to tune into the game to see the weather in your area. Hus and the kids just shoveled the back porch and there was at least 4 foot drifts. The kids loved it. I wish they were tired enough to take a nap because I would love one. Hehehe

Tonight for supper I might make steaks in the George Foreman grill and twice baked potatoes and a veggie. Potatoes with fat free sour cream of course. I have a blueberry pie and a pumpkin pie in the freezer calling my name . With a scoop of vanilla ice cream or cool whip. Bad girl, get these thoughts out of my mind ! Portion control is always an option . Julie

Ack, now everyone will think I made a post and ran off into the hills! I went away for the weekend, to a city called Suzhou. If you ever come to China, go there. It’s much nicer to visit than Shanghai, which is just a big city, and a lot of people know English since it’s such a tourist town. Not as much English in Beijing, or so I’ve been told.

And it’s beautiful. I fell in love with the gardens, the temples, and the moats. I finally got a chance to see a Pagoda. And now I want to learn Tai Chi with a sword, since I watched a woman old enough to be my grandmother doing it and looking so graceful. I’m terribly jealous of the grace of others.

Donna:
I’ve been here since October, and I think I’ll probably go home in June or July. It’s too much of a hassle to fly home for visits, sadly. But then, I think if I could have gone home for Christmas, there would have been a real possibility of me not going back. It’s not that I don’t love China, but I miss heating inside buildings, and I’m not far enough north to get that.

I still have a bunch of my old clothes from high school. I think I’m going to eventually have to own up to the fact that I’m not 17 anymore. I put all of my really nice clothes from that era in a drawer, and told my boyfriend (and a few other friends) that anything that doesn’t fit when I get back is getting donated to a woman’s shelter. I can buy new clothes if I get down to that size again, and considered that my breasts have gotten larger, it’s not likely to happen any time soon!

Hmm… Yoga. I’ve never done it. Is it hard to get started? I know they offer classes back in Edmonton, but I haven’t ever been to one. I’m tempted, when I get home, to take a belly dancing class. A friend of mine did it, and she said it was fun and really tones your abs. And hey, sexy dancing can’t be a bad thing to know, right?

Kempy:
Bringing my cat to China is about 2000$CDN, so I decided against that. As for my young man, he doesn’t have a high school diploma, and so wouldn’t be able to find a job here. (At least, not a non-labour job, and I don’t think they’d hire a “laowai” to do labour work.) I make more than enough to support two people and a cat (although cat food would be a problem to find in Jiangyan), but he’d be so bored when I was teaching. I’d love for him to come up for a visit, but the costs of the tickets are fairly problematic. Oh well. When I get home, we’ll save up our pennies and come out here again.

Noelle:
Ack, virus! You might also want to run a spy-ware and ad-ware check. The first time I did it I found over 50 different spy-ware programs on my computer. No wonder it was running so damned slow all the time.

Angie:
What does OP stand for?

Julie:
Ack, you make me miss snow. I keep getting snow-updates from my friends back in Edmonton. Here, everyone freaked out when they got a light dusting of snow that was gone an hour later. Every day, I’m told, “Oh, it’s so cold!” I try not to stare at them, since it’s –3.

Tonya:
What is TOM?

My goal for this week is to keep going with the running. It’s so easy to justify not doing it. I’m determined to go out and do it tonight, though, since although I was walking (and dancing! I finally got to dance!) all weekend, I don’t think that counts. Oh, yeah, and I have to remember to DRINK MORE WATER. I barely had any on the weekend, since the hostel I was staying in didn’t have purified water in the rooms. (You can’t drink tap water in China, you’ll get very sick. I have bottled water in my apartment, plus all the classrooms and offices have it. And they sell it everywhere. I was just having too much fun too remember to drink more water.)

As a silly question, can you eat/drink too much yogurt? (They drink yogurt in China.) I love to drink it instead of milk, but I don’t know if I’m having too much.
