Last night after I lost the ten minute post I was so mad I had to log off. I am going to try it again from work now.

Since Tuesday until today I had pretty much lost all my motivation and went on what I am going to the "THE WINTER BLAHS BINGE" it lasted a week and I am now offiicially over it. I now know that should I even once step off this program it is so hard to get back on it. I am not going to allow myself to cheat again.

Zanne I am glad your back again. I bought three of those bands I could send you one and record the dvd on to vhs for you and we can all be "Sister's in Sweat" together. I got my dvd at blockbuster. Only 29.99 for both the one mile and the two mile dvd. You know what the great hign is though. My daughter who is ten and a little overweight herself (even though she has great confidence and such a great personality that no one ever says a word to her about it) has started to do the one mile walk as well. She loves it and I am so proud of her.

Cat..Happy your feeling better and you will be 100% soon.

Hefti...I am jealous that you stayed so strong...send some of that my way okay.

Well I am at work and I will post more tonight.

Trixi

Zanne 02-03-2004 12:08 PM

Thanks for the offer TRIXI. How sweet of you! But I'll say "no thanks" just now. I've officially started the Kinetix challenge and they have an exercise program that I'm following.

Glad you are off your binge. It's wonderful that your DD is doing it with you. When I was doing WATP, my DS would do it with me.

CAT--did you get back to exercise? C'mon, you can do it! You'll feel so good afterward!

Time for me to hit the showers. I've already done a half hour on the elliptical!

MeRoMo 02-03-2004 01:37 PM

G'day everyone!

I bought my DVD at walmart ($19.99) for the three mile one, and the bands were $12 (I think) its really fun...if you can get past the part where she keeps saying "momma loves you...mommma loves you....)

I'm gonna get very OT now, but I am going to Toronto at the end of the month and was wondering if anyone leaves in or near there. I would like to know the cheapest way to get from the airport to downtown?

Cheers,

M.

hefty1 02-03-2004 07:51 PM

 hi everyone. meromo there is an airport bus to the major hotels dowmtown and it's about $10.00

:) glen

cat90 02-03-2004 09:08 PM

Trixi, its so hard to get back to it when you blow it :( i'm so glad that you've resolved to getting on with it again :cp:

M, I would crack up listening to that woman saying "momma loves you" thats a new one to me  are you staying in a motel/hotel? if you are a lot have a free shuttle service between the airport/hotel :D

Glen, how are you doing?

Hockeychic 02-04-2004 07:33 AM

Hi everyone, Just checking in. Sorry I have been here on and off, with all this d*** snow my schedule is so messed up I am not getting my usual computer time.

I have just been reading through all the posts I have missed, thank you all for the congrats, it feels good to meet a goal even if it was a small goal, next one is 172 by the end of Feb.

Zanne: WTG on figuring that k-count thing out. I found it so confusing, but since I am losing right now I and going to stick with this until I either plateau or get bored.

Well gotta pop into the shower to get to work, you all have a super day.

MeRoMo 02-04-2004 07:52 AM

G'morning all you lovely people!! (Can you tell I'm in a good mood...)

Weigh in was this morning and I lost 2.4....which brings me to a grand total of... (drumroll please... :) ) 13.8!!!! I am so excited!!!

Thanks for all the info on the shuttle bus, I've never been to Toronto before so I'm pretty excited about that too...besides the obvious, what should we take in (We're just there for the weekend)

I hope everyone is having a good morning, and I'll check in later today.

Cheers,

M.

Hockeychic 02-04-2004 08:01 AM

Zanne 02-04-2004 08:52 PM

Hey Losers!

Well, I hope we're all losers this week! :D

I got on the scale and was one more pound down! :D :smug: :D I'm very happy cause it sometimes takes me a month to lose just one pound.

MEROMO--Congrats to you on your loss!

CAT--Do that exercise!

HOCKEYCHIC, HEFTY, TRIXI--how are all of you doing?

hefty1 02-04-2004 11:37 PM

:) glen

Hockeychic 02-05-2004 07:20 AM

Hey Zanne, wtg on the loss keep it up.

I am so pumped and motivated, amazing how a little success can just keep you going. I keep trying to incorporate some exercise but just haven't found the time. I know bad excuse. I am trying to change that. Do we have a set weight in day here or are we all different. My official weight in is tomorrow and can't wait.

how about a exercise challenge, say starting Sat we have to exercise for at least 30 min for 5 days??? More if you want. Anyone have any challenge suggestions.

Well gotta get in the shower. Have a great day.

MeRoMo 02-05-2004 07:43 AM

I'm up for an exercies challenge! Sounds like a good way to keep motivated.

Trixi 02-05-2004 09:44 AM

Still not quite back to the program yet. But I think if I take the challenge maybe it will get me motivated. I am in!!!

Afraid to get on the scale cause I know I probably gained all the weight I lost back. I really need to get focused again. I start in the morning saying today is a new day and by the time I get home I start to stay okay tomorrow is a new day.

I am at work and hope you all have a great day!!!!

Trxi

Hockeychic 02-05-2004 01:30 PM

But I guess it could have been worse...I was able to give half of it away AND the chocolate square thing is sill sitting there..I think I'll take it home to my mommy :)

cat90 02-06-2004 05:27 PM

Hi Everyone

Well Done Susanne and Hockeychic :cp:

Good Luck with the weigh in Glen :lucky:

M, Don't give in to that chocolate square ;)

I weighed in at 161.5lbs this morning so i've still got 2lbs to lose to get to where i was  and it won't happen if i don't stop eating choc and creme eggs
I'm in for the exercise challenge :cb: that should be easy for me i've done some for the last 4 days :D

Hockeychic 02-07-2004 08:47 AM

WTG Cat90, I have done 2 days in a row so far but haven't done any yet today. But then again it is only 8:45AM. I think I will do my cardio right now actually then it is out of the way before the housework starts.

You all have a great day.

cat90 02-08-2004 02:59 PM

I walked 3.5mls yesterday wearing 5lbs leg weights on the hill walking program :stress:  so thats Day 5 :cp: still got to do some today yet.

Amanda

MeRoMo 02-09-2004 06:42 PM

Welcome Amanda :balloons:

How is everyone doing....I had a so-so weekend and a so-so start to the week. I have to admit, I won't be meeting the challenge this week...I had a very lazy week, so I'll aim for next week...how about starting on Wed :)

On the weekend I tried the Low-Fat brownies by Betty Crocker...YUMMY!!! OMG, that was the best sweet thing I've had in a long time....I highly recommend trying them. I had one and some fat-free ice cream (I think Bayers makes it...) can you tell I have a sweet tooth. :)

All in all, I think I had an ok week, maybe lost one pound...which is fine with me! I'll find out on Wed, but at least this time I'm not going into it terrified to step on the scale!

Well, have a happy Monday.

Cheers,

M.

cat90 02-09-2004 11:32 PM

Zanne 02-10-2004 07:56 AM

Hey Everyone!

I hadn't got any emails that new messages had been posted. Hmmm, wonder why? Oh well, I found you all.

I've finished week one. I accomplished something really tough for me--I got in 6 days of exercising out of 7. That's my goal for every week. My eating was ok, but I can do better. Water was good.

Welcome AMANDA!

CAT--You may want to research about wearing ankle weights. I'm sure I've read that that may not be such a good idea. I don't remember why tho.

Gotta go get the munchkin ready for school. Glad I found you all again.

Amanda456 02-10-2004 08:34 AM

Hi All!

Thank you for the warm welcome... ;) :thanks:

Well yesturday I did have sugar :( I had to make my boyfriend cookies for his lunch and of course I had to eat one..:hungry: at least I never pigged out on them! :ink:  Besides that I did good... :smug:

I think I am going to add something to my challenge, I am going to stop eating at 7:00pm every night. i always find myself snacking a lot at night, I usually pick healthy foods like late night grapes but. Im not even hungry when I eat them....Wish me Luck! :lucky:

Talk to you All Later,

Cheers,
Amanda :cb:

hefty1 02-10-2004 08:24 PM

:) glen

Trixi 02-10-2004 09:22 PM

Im Back!!!

I have been MIA lately cause I just haven't been able to stay on track. But today I finally think I am back to normal and feel the motivation kicking back in. I am so disappointed in myself for the last two weeks for letting myself go and eat what I ate and drink what I drank.

Work has been a bummer and last weekend i spent stripping wallpaper and painting my living room...good exercise but I was sooooo tired afterward and I am still a little sore.

Amanda WELCOME!!! Glad to see a new face here.

MeRoMo good luck tomorrow!!

Cat and Zanne you should be super proud of yourself for the execise. I have made apact with myself to do the same.

I have missed you guys and will most definately post again tomorrow.

Trixi

cat90 02-10-2004 10:41 PM

Hiya Girls and Glen

Susanne, i'll do some research on that..thanks for the tip ;) although i've never had problems in the past with them.

cat90 02-12-2004 07:47 PM

Not much to say anyway  i missed exercising yesterday went out in the sunshine instead but today i walked 2.25mls and i set the treadmill to the mountain program :stress: hope you are all doing well

Trixi 02-13-2004 10:46 AM

I think it has to be the weather. I am so sock of winter I can't seem to get anything done. I just feel like crying all the time. I am note ven excited abut valentines day (which is probaly for the best as my fiance is working).

Sorry for the blah's I hope you all have a great weekend!!!!

Trixi 02-13-2004 10:47 AM

Please ingnore all the mistakes I just posted ;)

Zanne 02-13-2004 11:04 AM

Hey Everybody!

Well, I had a bad stumble this week and ate a half box of Krispie Kreams! Bad Zanne for buying them! But I have been doing my exercises. I've had to take it easy tho, cause my knees are acting up and they feel like they might give out, so I don't want to injure them. I am also pleased to say that I have lost another pound and am down to 168 :D I have also lost a couple inches. I've lost a whole inch in my hips! :smug: For years I've had the same hip measurement, but in the past couple weeks, it's gotten smaller! :D

I know at times things look discouraging, but being persistant will pay off.

TRIXI--I'm sick of the cold wind! I like the snow and don't mind if it's just plain cold. I just hate the wind! Just think, every day we are a little more closer to spring! When you are down and starting to get out of control, come and post here! Do NOT stay away during these times. That is when you need to come here most. We are not going to judge you--we've all been there, done that. We're here to support you!

CAT--Glad you're hanging in there. I think the weight thing is that it put too much stress on the joints. I really don't remember--I just know that I heard something bad and tossed my ankle weights.

HI-to everyone else! '

I've got to get going to my appointment!

cat90 02-13-2004 11:18 PM

Hi Girls,

Susanne WTG girl :bravo: think i'll eat half a box of krispie kreams if they help you to lose a pound  I still have'nt done any research on the weight thing but i have'nt worn them since either  today i walked/jogged just over 3mls so there is no way i'm packing weights when i'm doing that  (walked for one min at 3.3mls and jogged for one min at 4.5mls :cb: ) i felt great afterwards :D exercise is such a mood booster :) i've been feeling depressed lately too Trixi and it is'nt even cold here  think i'm just lonely. I'd forgotten all about V-Day too

Trixi 02-15-2004 10:31 AM

I think a part of mt blah's were the fact that five hours after posting my throat started to hurt and my nose was killing me. Yesterday I was on the couch all day and could'nt move. I still feel not so great but at least I know why I was so cranky!

Good thing happened on friday though. After being together for six years my fiance for the first time sent me flowers! I was so shocked and they were really beautiful. That cheered me up a bit until I started to feel sick.

I am glad everyone (minus one small krispy kreme incident) is doing so good. I keep thinking to myself "you bought the new scale, the workout tapes, the stretchy bands, vitamins and food, why haven't you done anything yet" My goal is to get off my butt and really do this thing. I know its me that is sabotoging (sp) my own health and yet its so hard to get started again (Sorry for the whining)

Today I am going to try to clean my house and just keep on saying to myself tomorrow I will start again. Thanks for all the support you guys!! I really needed it.

Have a great Sunday.

hefty1 02-15-2004 12:37 PM

 wtg suzanne. hope you don't gain next week after those kremes. i hate them because they are too sweet. happy belated valintines day.
i made chili today.
:) glen

cat90 02-15-2004 04:26 PM

Hi Girls and Glen

Trixi, its no wonder you have no motivation if you're not feeling well :( just concentrate on getting yourself better before you throw yourself into an exercise program otherwise you'll tire sooner and it will seem even more overwhelming ;) Get Well Soon :)

Walked/Jogged another 3.15mls yesterday :cb: but my knees are'nt liking it too much so i'll have to buy a knee support to see if that helps otherwise it'll mean going back to just walking :( and i like the spurts of jogging :tread: i feel so energised afterwards.

Are'nt these cute little guys? :) :)

northernclipper 02-15-2004 11:15 PM

Hello everyone

I just join this site and weight watchers. I understand the breakfast problem up until this Jan I never ate it. Since I have joined ww I now have cereal or oatmeal every morning. I find that along with forcing myself to drink eight 8oz glasses of water a day and eating breakfast I'm not so hunger midmorning. I do see more of my bathroom. I to am from Ontario and this month I also started to force myself and best friend into bundling up and going for a walk (30 minutes every day) it helps. So far I lost 5lbs I need support I've been trying to lose the same 30lbs for 3 years and this year I hope do it.

MeRoMo 02-16-2004 08:33 AM

Good Morning and Happy Belated Valentine's Day!

Sorry I've been MIA for the last week...I was so busy!! But I'm back and ready to go :)

Welcome NorthernClipper! I know what you mean about seeing more of the bathroom. I Joined WW last month and I'm still frequenting the potty :)

So last Wed. Weight-in didn't go so well...I didn't lose anything :( But its better than a gain...and you'd think that after a not so good week I'd have been well behaved this weekend WRONG! I ate sooo much chocolate! Its a weakness :) Everytime I walked by the kitchen I had some. But its a new week and over a month until Easter, so I don't think they'll be anymore chocolate in the house for a while. :)

I got a PM from someone at a university in England. She wants to use some of my posts for research...did anyone else get one of these? I have no problem with them using it as long as its legit.

Well hope everyone has a sunny Monday morning.

Cheers,

M.

northernclipper 02-16-2004 02:49 PM

MeRoMo

I agree with you if it's not a gain it's nothing. Chocolate and pastries are my sore spot. After valentines day I told my husband and kids take all the junk food to their rooms and keep it away from me even if there are tears(mine) :^: Then I cleaned some green peppers, cherry tomatoes and celery and I began this week with a clean slate. I also joined two challenges and I'm going to do it this time. :smug:
