Default Afternoon

Hi girls! Carrie you are doing good! I only have a few minutes before it is time for me to go pick up my son from school.

Went shopping this morning with my MIL and didn't eat breakfast a big no no!!!! We stopped for lunch at Red Robin never been to one before I had a chicken sandwich and no fries so I think it was probably around 18 points not sure though.

I will check back later!

woh Michelle - you had almost all your points in one sandwich!!!
Oh well I have done that before, so many times... I guess it will be a very light supper for you - Oh I keep forgetting that you have flex points to use - so you might not be in too bad of shape...

We are both doing great!!

We just gotta keep eachother on track...okay I am about ready to get off work so I will check back in tomorrow morning, stay strong for the evening...

( I am already hungry for dinner and have about 2 hours left to eat, )

Well later, have a good one......

Default Evening!

Hi Carrie!

Well today was pretty bad for me not real bad but it wasn't totally OP. I definitely used some flex points not sure how many though, it is hard to journal when you eat out and Dottie's site didn't have the points for my sandwich.

Dinner I had 1/2 a pork chop 4.5 points
and 1/2 cup lima beans I think they were 2 pts

Tomorrow will be a better day for me I know it will!!! It was just special getting to go shopping with my MIL!

Yup gotta keep it going cuz nothing tastes as good as thin is going to feel!!!!!!!!!!!!! We need to eat to survive and that is all we don't survive to eat!!!!

So you have any plans for the weekend yet? We aren't doing anything that I know of yet. If it is nice out we have some yard work that needs to be taken care of. Of course we haven't really seen the sun for a few days now!!!

Well going to wrap it up going to watch a movie with the family!

Talk to you tomorrow I will be online more tomorrow I think!

Default Morning , I am so tired!!!

Well Michelle I will tell you what is freaky - I too had a not so OP day yesterday, but not over my much... I was at 27 points ( and I can have up to 29 ) when I decided to have some nacho cheese combos, I was craving them and I dont think anything was going to stop me, and that put me over by like 3 to 4 points...so I figure maybe I will have a little less today or I will just say "screw it" and today is another day.....

We dont have any real big plans, we are going to my mom and dads Saturday night because we need to drop off the material for my mom to make my husbands Halloween costume. He is going to be some kind of scary clown. Every year our good friend has this huge Halloween party at his house and he will not let you in unless you are dressed up...I still dont know what I am going to possibly be...I was thinking throw on a black wig and paint my face, that is about all I am up to... ha

I am kind of scared about this weekend though...weekends are my hardest time to stay OP, and usually I will end up blowing it one if not both days...so I am really going to be testing the will power this time....and you are right, "nothing tastes as good as thin feels"....I remember how it felt though at the time I did not think about it - I thought I would be thin forever....

Do you have alot of yard? We live in town and hardly have any...we want to move next spring to somewhere kind of out by itself with some land but we will see....I like the city because I am close to everything...

Well I will check back in after breakfast and lunch.... have a great morning...

Good morning everyone.

How do you ladies do so well? I feel like a complete crazed person.

Wednesday
Breakfast - none, Lunch - none, Supper whole wheat spagetti with meat sauce.

Thursday
Breakfast none, lunch none, and supper went out for fast food, burger and fries.

So how does that work with the points when you use them all in one meal? and why when you skip a meal does it not let you lose weight? I know what the experts day but it doesn't make sense.

You ladies are doing wonderfully well. Happy dance for you for staying on track.

Get to go in to work late so I am off to make some breakfast.
Have a super day
Kathy

Kathy - they say when you are skipping meals essentially you are starving your body, your body will then throw itself into "starvation mode" and it will then store everybit of fat that it has or will get in order to keep your body alive and going..it is NEVER good to skip a meal...I could see skipping breakfast but not skipping both breakfast and lunch, that is not doing anything good for your body....
The Weight Watchers plan does not make any kind of statement on using all points for one meal because they do not want you to do it...again not healthy....you should spread your points out over
the day to get a healthy balance, if you are interested I would definitely go to thier website and join, you can do it from home...
Let us know what you decide...
Have a good day, Kathy, talk to ya later... )

Default Hi girls!

Hi Kathy & Carrie! Well I am off to a late day today I ended up going back to bed after I got my son off to school. Slept till 10 o' clock it was so cold it felt good to be under the blankets......LOL!!!

Kathy I am just so determined this time to get to my goal weight and look good and be healthy!!! I want my husband to do a one of those whiplash things with his neck whenever I walk by him.

Sometimes I skip breakfast due to lack of time like when I go back to bed which I have definitely have to stop I should get on the treadmill instead.

Carrie we have 2 yards ours and our apartment that we own has to be done too. And they are both considerably big. But so far if tomorrow is like the past few days and again today NO SUN AT ALL!!! I won't be helping! I can't stand to be cold in any way or form.

Sometimes the weekends are tough for me it all depends on what we have planned for then. If we have company that is the big one because everyone likes the fat ladden stuff and here I am not eating that is hard.

I made pork chops last night that were to die for I will forward the recipe to you all in my next post. It was from one of the Cooking Light magazines.

So far today I have had

Breakfast
1 egg 2 points
2 rc diet bread 1 pt

Talk to all you soon!

Michelle - Thanks for the pork chop recipe, I like to make pork chops but I never have anything actually to do with them so this will help, so will knowing the points!

So I am wondering about this 1/2 cup of scrambled eggs that I had this morning at our work cafeteria...I asked someone on another thread and they thought around 4 or 5... I dont have my book on me but I think it would be about 5, hopefully not any more because I am kind of over points for this time of day already so here goes...

Breakfast
1/2 cup scrambled eggs - 5 pts
I peice toast - 2
little bit of butter - 2

Lunch
Subway 6 inch Turkey Sub - 5.5 pts ( per Dottie's )
Water - 0

Total so far - 14.5
Leaving 12.5 for rest of the day, okay girls I need a low point dinner idea badly - got any suggestions? That would also be filling?
Let me know...

And Michelle I know what you mean, alot of me is doing this for me but also for my husband, when he married me I weighed all of about 130 pounds, I want to be back there badly, for me and him.

Okay check back in a little while....

Oh Carrie I am so sorry I missed ya for dinner ideas. I have so many recipes and things that you could have used depending on what you had on hand and what you were hungry for. I am the queen of recipes my DH tells me.

Your scrambled eggs a 1/2 cup, 5 points is right on. Sometimes that egg in the morning is better for you because of the protein. The protein keeps me satisfied longer in the morning then anything else.

I am so tired I just can't seem to get enough sleep for some reason. Like I said earlier I went back to bed which I have only started doing that recently normally I am up and at 'em. Cleaning or running errands or something other then going back to bed. I guess I need to start taking my vitamin again.

Ok here is my journal for today I missed my points by 3 points just couldn't eat anything else I feel full and satisfied!

Breakfast
1 egg 2 pts
2 slices rc 1

Lunch
12 oz machine made cappicuino 3 pts
1 apple 1 pt

Dinner
1 cup califlower 0 points
2 Tablespoons couscous .5 pts (didn't like it YUCK)
3 meatloaf muffins 6 points

Snack
Aunt Annie's orginal pretzel 7.5 pts (per Dotties)

Total 21 points

Ok need to go rent a movie or something hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

Default Morning!!

Okay sorry I was MIA for the weekend, I told you I was bad about that, we are always going - going on the weekends...
I was over points on Saturday ( by quite a few but I splurged since I was with my parents for dinner ) and I was back OP on Sunday, 27 points...so I figure I am going to have a bad day once in a while, I have to allow myself something like that or I will go nuts...but now I will not do it for a while...so anyhow how was everyone's weekend? Mine was good, of course it was short...it was so hard to get up this morning, so hard....it was cold but so warm in bed....once it starts getting cold I have the hardest time getting up...
Ok so breakfast:

Granola Bar - 3pts
Water - 0

You will notice that I have a granola bar like every morning basically, it is just easier for me to grab while heading out the door to work... plus i know it is low points for me...well anyhow
"hello", hope you did well over the weekend, and I will check back after lunch...

Default Good Morning

Good Morning!

Hey Carrie no problem on being MIA for the weekend! And you did great this weekend! I allow myself a little over on either Saturday or Sunday not alot over but a tad if I am feeling deprived.

So did you WI today yet? My WI was yesterday and I was down 2 pounds. Now if I can only sneak in some exercise I will be good to go I think I have my eating down pretty good.

Granola bars are good for you they have alot of nutrition in them so eat them every morning if they are easier for you. Me I alternate between oatmeal, an egg, or even sometimes so reduced fat pnut butter either on fat free waffles or on reduced calorie bread.

This weekend wasn't to hot here we had to take our 6 month old kitten to the Pet Emergency room yesterday she was really sluggish on Saturday and yesterday her one eye became really cloudy like maybe she was going blind in it. Thank God though she has an infection that is attacking her eye and with the meds the vet gave me she should be alright. I don't know if I will be alright though she claws the heck out of me when I try to give them to her.......AGH!!!

Anyway I need to run and eat some breakfast I will check back later this afternoon.

Michelle

Default Afternoon

Michelle - I did weigh in on Friday and I was down to 222, so that was 1.5 pounds down BUT...I weighed myself again this morning and was back up to 223, but I need to stay off of the scales except for once a week...so I am not going to weigh in again until this Friday or Saturday....

GREAT JOB ON THE 2 POUNDS DOWN!!!!

All we gotta do is keep this up and steady and we can lose the weight that we want to...and I dont know about you but I am eating what ever I want on Thanksgiving and Christmas...those are the holidays and I am not holding back - just so we get that established right now, ha!!

Sorry to hear about your cat...I know how it is when you have a sick pet, it is like one of the family...our dog ( westie named Les ) has a sensitive stomach and everything else...he always has reactions at the vet and it is scary....

Okay so for lunch I had:
Chicken - 2 pts
Spanish Rice - 6pts
water - 0 pts
----------------------------------
8 pts total

3 pts for breakfast - makes 11 points down and 16 left for the day... I was thinking about making spaghetti for dinner because it is quick and not alot of fuss....I have not looked at the points on spaghetti, is it bad???
