Congratulations Kiwiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
I can't think of any better day than the first day alone after having your space invaded.

I"m working full time for the next month or so. I took a maternity leave in third grade. It isn't bad.
Wabby, we got the most wonderful mattress in the spring. DH complained about it for months..but I thought it was wonderful. Still do. He is used to it now. I think it is mens' inability to adapt to change. DH is becoming more like FIL every day.

Nothing else is new. I confess that I haven't read all the posts....so I'll be brief.
See you on the weekend. L

Now that's an ironic thing to say. I want you to meditate, breath deep and think non violence.

Lord, isn't that the truth.

Lohani, I hope you can manage to keep up your posting responsibilities along with the working. Let's keep those priorities straight.

Sure they do, like J-Lo's and Beyonce's? Sheesh.

I have not been a good Weight Watcher this week. I haven't been bad, just not being good enough to lose anything.

Unhappy Bleh

It's Thursday. I have a headache and my stomach hurts. Tomorrow is a holiday here. Tag der deutschen Einheit - German Independence Day. Whoopdeedoo.

Do you realize how complicated it is to try to go back to your home and native land dragging your foreign spouse behind you? Geez. I guess they're trying to keep out the riff raff.

Talking Just me again

Any of yous cows heard of the International Computer Driving Licence?

I think I know why my head hurts. I've been looking UP to my monitor instead of looking DOWN on it. Never let your monitor get the upper hand. Guess I'll have to get a higher chair since I'm a smallish (vertically) person.

Sugar, I know the chief of police here told me there's no such thing as an international drivers license. He told me that he had seen them and accepted them in the fast but found out at a more recent training class that they're not legitimate.

No, darling, an international COMPUTER licence - some sort of certificate thingy that proves you have computer skills. They just call it a driving licence to annoy people.

Wish I knew the chief of police.

What should I make for dinner. I have chicken and zucchini, but no one around here except me will eat zucchini. Oh well.

Nope, you have to go through all sorts of rigmarole and sponsor your spouse and guarantee that they won't apply for welfare. They also want to know if you married for LUUUUUUV or if you're just trying to scam them. They also tax the h*ll out of any money you bring in so you can be left with nuthin' if you're not careful. Sounds sooooo encouraging.

Sugar, don't want to sound racist (but this will) but one of the guys who work for us was recently vacationing in Vancouver, and he said he was totally amazed at the huge population of recently immigrated ppl of middle eastern descent. He thought it must be extremely easy to immigrate to BC. No?

I'm going to lunch w/ my Mom. She's leaving for winter place in AZ next week.

I didn't go to WW yesterday. I'm having problems w/ the eating again. I thought about it and think maybe it's related to extended family problems and all the emotional stuff that goes with it. Once an emotional eater, always an emotional eater.

Yes, Wabs, it is, but only if you are of middle eastern descent. There are different categories - Family, Entrepreuner, Skilled Worker etc and people who get in on compassionate grounds. Actually, I don't think they'd be able to stop us gettin in because they're not allowed to split up families but you still have to go through the whole legal procedure. Can take up to a year, I've heard.

Maybe James Taylor on your right, Bruce Cockburn on your left, and both of them paying for your drinks while they fawn over you?? Cheers, Bagzie!!!

Heck no, you're sitting on his lap, girl. (Because you are light as a feather and sexy as ) There, now you have a new affirmation to use, too.

Wow, I have all this time freed up, sort of, and I seem to be busier than ever! Of course, partly that's because I think nothing of taking a long nap at the drop of a hat.

Did the long drive to music lessons yesterday, and since DH of course wouldn't be home to cook dinner, I made a crockpot soup before we left . MMMM it was good -- hamburger barley with veggies. And I made some biscuits to go with it.

Gotta go wrap up a present. We're going to a housewarming for a cousin of DH -- the family actually said they are having this party for this guy because he will probably never get married. Isn't that thoughtful of them?
