Happy Wednesday! What a cold and foggy morning it is. My husband strung a strand of Christmas lights on the side of the house in the shape of a tree. Adds a festive touch to the dark hours of the day. I like it.
This morning having banana bread for breakfast. It is toast with a banana cut up on top of it with a touch of cinnamon. The healthy type for me. A good start before a early morning walk. May have to bring the flashlights this morning for the beginning of the walk. I know my dog is waiting patiently for me to get started in that direction. He always get so excited. Makes it exciting for me too.
Happy Thursday! I guess you are getting some snow flurries by now. Hope you are staying warm and those sweet little horses are staying warm and happy too. Enjoy your time together with Sam.
We're going to get a dusting of snow today then turning warmer for the weekend. Sam's back to work but he has another vacation in 17 days. He's going to retire in May so he's taking a vacation every month to use up his vacation weeks. Not sure if I'll like him home all the time
My eating has been really awful.....too many parties and good food.
All my shopping is done and gifts wrapped. Raining here yet again! Baking a cake for my mother-in-laws birthday. She's going to be 91 and I hope I am as active as she is when I'm 91! I'm having a small party for her tomorrow.
I like your new holiday style ticker. Very festive. With all your shopping done, you can now relax and enjoy the Christmas season. That is nice that you baked a cake for your Mother-in-Laws birthday. Sounds like it will be a nice day for her. Hope you have a nice Sunday!
Lots of rain yesterday. I'm sure glad it wasn't snow. We would have be buried! I hope the ground freezes soon. I'm so tired of the mud! The farrier is coming today then I need to do a little grocery shopping to pick up items for Christmas eve and Christmas day.
Hi Renee, Just got the Christmas gift you sent to me yesterday. Thank you for the gift!! I have the perfect spot for it too, right out in our mini-garden near the walkers trail by our house. All the walkers will see the frogs spreading good cheer as they walk by. Thank you!! I am glad you like the gift I got you. Have you actually received it yet or just the card telling you about it? My Christmas days off are now through Friday. Merry Christmas my friend! I am going to enjoy my days for the rest of this year. When the New Year starts, I will be in full force mode for eating healthy and exercising. I told my husband that. His reply "You say it every year, the same old thing" My reply "But this year it will be different" His look made me realize I had probably said that before too. Well, I now need to make it happen. No more delays or excuses.
Hi Annette, welcome to this support group! I have sent you a private message on how to navigate through 3FC.
Watched 2 Christmas movies last night: The Fitzgerald Family Christmas and the Christmas Cottage. Both family type movies and just right for the season.
Also checked out a exercise DVD doing Country line dancing. It seemed like it would be fun. I had done some in my earlier years. However, the DVD was just horrible. So after about 15 minutes, I cut if off. It played fine, just the program on it was done poorly. So back to the library it went.
Happy Friday! A very rainy start to the day here. Doing some shopping today, so I can bring in some food to work tomorrow for our Christmas meal. Also need to buy a dog food container to keep that dog food fresh and stored away. Went for a walk yesterday in a new forest with some steep hills. It was a good trail because I felt a little sore afterwards. Using different muscles on those hills. I will have to go back to that trail again. I liked it, although it was a bit muddy in some places. Hope you have a good day!
The Christmas party went great. I brought in two cake rolls, that were a hit, along with some orange gingerbread, and some chocolate oatmeal squares. I ate some vegetable quiche that was good. It all worked out fine and was a nice event for the office.
My eating is similar, but honestly I think I am reaching my peak now. Especially since my loose clothes are feeling a bit snug now. Just a gentle reminder for me to take it easy over the upcoming days.
Kiffles! Yum, I love kiffles. My Grandmother always had kiffles at her house for us kids. She had nut, apricot, and poppy seed usually.
Hope you have a fantastic Sunday and enjoy the Church Buffet!
