Yesterday we carved a pumpkin, watched a couple of Halloween movies (Disney-Frankenweenie, and Scream). We had one trick or treater, the neighbors 4 year old daughter who we invited over. No other children we know of in the area. She dressed up as a ghoul and her chihuahua dog had a lions mane fur around his head. Very cute. She is still very shy and wouldn't talk to us. It will just take time. I didn't eat any candy. I was good about that. However, I did eat a few spicy gingerbread cookies, but in moderation. So I think that was still successful progress.
Today is a wet morning with sprinkling rain. Guess I will just walk along the country road so my feet don't get too wet. Too wet to walk on any trails.
Getting colder out, so went shopping yesterday a bit looking for some warmer clothes to wear. Didn't find anything I really like or that would fit. Hubby, dog, and I did a short walk across some old bridle paths. Hope the weather is nice today so can do another walk somewhere. My portion of foods yesterday was not the best. Will do better on that today.
Saw a big snowy white owl yesterday near our house. The owl has been around the area quite a few times, so I guess it lives nearby. It looks very pretty.
Bought a few small decorative pumpkins that were on sale yesterday. Perhaps I can use the seeds and grow my own next year.
Took a walk with the hubby and dog yesterday across the grassy moors. It was cold, but a beautiful sunny day. Hope today will be similar.
Good to hear that your husband is back to work full time. Hope he is handling it just fine.
Weigh-in shows down 1/2 lb. Yippee! Hope you have some good progress too.
Renee, that's okay. I know you will try even harder this week to see some results. I know I am because I didn't reach my 2 lb goal. We can do this! We just need to stay focused and maintain discipline with our portion sizes for meals. Food can be so enticing, but we can win this battle!! We can still enjoy it, but don't over indulge.
Yesterday was a good day for me eating healthy. Although last night and this morning I have a headache. Must be going through food addiction withdrawals. I hope you have a good day!
Another day of healthy eating, but didn't get much exercise do to work. Hope to get a walk in this wet, foggy morning somehow. Last night someone brought in a thick, double chocolate cake with marshmallows and chocolate toppings. It was hard to resist, but I did it. As I pay close attention to it. I notice that I am bombarded by sweets of some kind every day or some type of enticing foods. No wonder it is so easy to gain weight.
Oh the rain, it always puts a damper on eating. That is a tough one to tackle. Hopefully you can figure out some good healthy things to bake that are not to heavily laden with calories.
I did good yesterday. Hope I can maintain another day.
Another good day for me. I hope it continues. However, now I am off from work for a few days. And we have rain as well. So I will have to be careful not to eat too much.
Raisin toast this morning, and now off to bed after working last night. Rain is great for sleeping. Hope you have a great day!
Yesterday took my dog to the vet to get his Kennel Cough shot, and then did some grocery shopping afterwards. It was a rainy day. Watched some TV shows later (The Walking Dead, Season 2) and had some pizza. I did very well and did not over eat while watching TV. I thought about going to the kitchen to look for more snacks, but didn't. So some progress is being made. Hope to see some good results tomorrow.
Well I know it is only a matter of time and the scale will start changing for you too. Hang in there. It's harder at this time of year with the cold, rainy weather and then the holidays, but keep focused and maintain your discipline. I'm telling myself this too. It is a daily battle, but the efforts will soon be seen.
