Hi Renee, We got back this evening. We had a lovely Easter! I'm glad you had a lovely Easter as well.
Sounds like you had all kinds of food to eat too. So I am not alone.
Well, I guess we better get our heads together and get back on track.
Otherwise, we may sway too far off track.
I don't want your new dress to be too tight for the wedding.
That just wouldn't do after all your hard work.
I still need to get my butt in gear so it will finally fit into some of these
new jeans I bought a few years back before they deteriorate or dry rot.
We are halfway through this week,
but I think we can sort of rein ourselves in
and direct ourselves back on track once again.
Hope your Wednesday and mine finds our willpower strong once again.
Exercise
1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores
1/2 hr. evening barn chores
12,463 steps
Meals
oatmeal with blueberries
chicken soup, hard boiled egg
banana
grilled steak, potato salad, asparagus
I did somewhat better with my food choices yesterday. I was outside most of the day which kept me away from the Easter candy. Took Steel out for his first drive of the year and he was great. I need to get my lettuce and radishes planted.
Exercise
1 1/2 hrs. morning barn chores
1/2 hr. evening barn chores
10,248 steps
Meals
oatmeal with blueberries
banana
cheese and tomato sandwich
leftover ravioli, mixed veggies
Was chilly here yesterday too. I worked for an hour fixing fence the deer had rearranged. There are open gates they could go thru, but they prefer to jump the fence and make it loose.
I have a feral cat living up by the hay barn in the stacked pallets. He's been there about a week. He always looks mad so I call him Mad Max. I don't know if someone dropped him off or he just wandered here. He's not friendly at all, but I take him food everyday.
Your food choices were good yesterday....keep up the good work!
Meals
Cheese omelet, hash browns, toast
Banana
Crunchy cheetos
mock fish bites, kale spinach chips
Mad max is a perfect name. I bet he will become friendlier with time. I think he will be a blessing in disguise.
Silly deer, didn't their mommy teach them how to use a gate. Actually, she probably taught them to jump the fence and avoid being confined to the gate area. They are probably smarter than we realize. Perhaps it is the young ones still learning to jump the fence or some lazy elderly ones.
Wow, pollen has sure been extremely heavy around here. I hope we get some rain to wash some of it off the car.
No loss for me as well. Now that the holiday has passed, and the food is gone, I should be able to make some progress this week. Cleaned house some today and laundry. Went shopping for some simple button down sweaters, but none to be found. Mine are worn out and I need to replace them.
Exercise

1/2 evening barn chores
Meals
oatmeal with blueberries
banana
egg sandwich
taco salad
Sun is out, but a chilly 39 degrees....
Gave Steel a body clip yesterday and needed to put a blanket on him last night.
The dropped off new cat has decided to come into the barn and eat with the other cats. I guess he has decided to stay. I think he was someones house cat because he has long hair and it's not matted from living outside. He's welcome to stay here.
Exercise
1 hour walk in morning
2 hour walk in afternoon
Meals
Tofu scramble
Mock fish bites, sweet potato chips
Barbecued tofu, pierogies
Guacamole, blue corn chips
Steel is getting ready for the show! Yes, it was cool here today too and suppose to be cooler tomorrow with rain.
I took a nice walk in the old part of town today with my dog. We both enjoyed walking somewhere different. I love looking at old houses. They are so fascinating.
Trying to encourage my husband to diet and exercise with me. No luck for the past week. He started to join me with the New Year, but it didn't last long. Maybe I can get him to do some stretching exercises with me.

Meals

Spent almost 2 hours yesterday walking the fields and picking up branches that had fallen during winter. I still have 6 more
fields to do. I enjoy walking and seeing nature in the spring.
The weekend looks like it will be clearing up for some nice warm and sunny weather. It should be nice for the wedding and your horse show.
So far the lilies I planted around the house are not doing too well. I think I have 5 out of approximately 25. The good part is that I think they are the Tiger lilies, which was my number one choice when looking to buy some.
How is your week going? Does everything seem to be going on track for the events? We thought about going camping this weekend, but my husband started feeling sick, so we changed plans for now. Guess we will hang around the area and enjoy the weather. Perhaps I will get a pool for the dog to enjoy, if I can fit it on our SUV. How's your SUV? Does it suit your needs?
