Mindful Eating 101
Portion Control
Use a smaller plate.
Fill half with fruits and veggies.
A quarter with carbohydrates (the gains should be mostly whole grains).
The rest should be lean protein.
Limit Sugar
Avoid beverages like soda, juice, and sweetened coffee drinks or teas.
With processed foods, choose those lower in added sugar.
Limit sweet treats to special occasions.
Pay Attention
Eat slowly and pay attention to what you eat.
Hydrate and eat meals at a table,
not in the car or in front of your phone, computer, or television.



And the cold cold wind too. I hope you are staying warm. I was cold today at work. I wore my gloves inside. However, there were other people cold too. Winter is letting us know it is still around.
Slow and steady wins the race.
