I found a lovely outfit to wear. I sometimes have a hard time buying clothes because I'm so tall, but I found 3 outfits that would work and one spoke my name

A bit warmer out today. Might get some rain later. I need to go to the grocery store and do my weekly shopping. Hopefully the rain will hold off till I get back.

Today's project will be making outdoor signs for the rummage sale. I've advertised it in all the local papers. Sunday, after church, I've called a meeting with my helpers. We also sell food and have a bake sale. We have a fun time with great fellowship.

Have an awesome Friday!

Wow, that is great! 3 outfits to choose from in one day. That is terrific.
You had a very successful day then. I am glad you found something that you like.

It rained as I left work today, but it was only a few minutes. We still need to
get a lot more here because the ground is so dry still in some areas.

I think you will have a fun filled weekend with all of the activities.
Hope you have a sunny nice Saturday!

Don't forget weigh-in.

Tip of the Day from Fitness Magazine, Nov/Dec 2013
Late afternoon.

Chips or chocolate chip cookies may sound awfully good right about now,
but after causing a quick spike in your energy level,
they will send it crashing.

For a steady, long-lasting pick-me-up,
choose nutrient rich high-fiber foods like
hummus with a whole grain pita or baby carrots.

No change for me

I had a very productive day yesterday. Got my signs made and numerous other things ready for the rummage sale. Now I need to get supplies together for my Easter sunrise service breakfast.

Love it that it doesn't get dark till 7:30. Supposed to go to 70 today. Yay!

Enjoy your weekend!

Renee- no change for you, Oh no, and you have been working so hard.
Don't let that get you down, you have been doing good.
I bet next week will make up for it.
My scale shows...down 1.5 lbs. Yippee, finally some movement
and in the right direction.

It got very warm here today. Our house thermometer said 77 degrees. A lovely day.
I bought some geraniums from Lowe's and put them in some containers I have
in front of my garage. I think they will be hardy enough to survive any more cool weather.

You have been a busy bee, and I bet having fun at it too.
I hope you have a sensational Sunday.

Looking out for small joys.

A little appreciation goes a long way
and there's research to back that up.
Experts say that finding pleasure in everyday occurrences
can actually train the brain to be more positive.
Maybe you delight in your morning mug of coffee
or pause to soak up sunshine on your way to work.
My advice is to try to find treasures in even the simplest of moments:
the result could be a more mindful, happier you.

You did great!

I need to still cut the portion size down. I will work on that this week.

I can't wait till Friday to get this tooth out.

Still way too early to even think about putting plants out. Usually not until Mother's Day.

Have a blessed Sunday!

Today was cooler out. Although it didn't rain, it was somewhat moist/misty at times.
Just bundled up and it was fine. Funny, because yesterday was almost too warm for
what I have been use to here lately.

Have a great Monday!

Tip of the Day from Health Magazine, April 2017
Squeeze More Joy Out Of Life

Pinpointing moments of everyday bliss produces a huge happiness payoff.
It's the little things that count. Turns out the cliche' is dead-on.
Research shows that one of the most important secrets to a happy life
is to relish the many small moments that bring delight-ones you may not even notice.
When you start calling attention to them, your mind becomes more inclined toward joy.
Over time, joy and happiness become increasingly effortless.

Raining hard this morning. It should taper off later this morning.

Chris is refinishing the bathtub and I need to go and pick out new fixtures. The old ones had lime build-up and I couldn't get them polished. They were over 30 years old.

I had a rummage sale meeting after church yesterday and everything looks good to go....I have a great team of helpers.

Have a wonderful Monday!

I had a lovely jog this afternoon with my dog. Not too hot or cold. Some trees have a few flowers, the birds are chirping and getting ready for spring, the rabbits are hopping about, and kids were laughing and playing ball in the neighborhood. Everyone seems happy today and enjoying the nice weather.

You will be so excited when your bathroom gets finished. I find that any small change in my house makes me feel refreshed.

Take note.

Think of sinking your teeth into your favorite dessert or that moment in the shower when the hot water first touches your skin-any fleeting moments of joy in life that are not super intense. This week, start pickup up on them. All you have to do is notice the joy and bring attention to the pleasantness. Be. Here. Now. Focus on the bite-size pleasures already in your day. After a number of times, a habit will form.

Yeah! Nice new bathroom fixtures. Just think how happy you will be each time you see them and use them. A nice new touch.

We got a thunderstorm today and the power went out for about 15 minutes. The storm just rushed through so it didn't last long. It was nice to get a bit of rain. Still need lots more though.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Live Out Loud

Let out a "mmm" after your delicious first sip of coffee in the a.m. for instance. When you get in bed and it feels so good to slide between the sheets, make an 'ahhh" noise. Being vocal when something delights you will help you revel in the moment.

I think the sun is finally going to shine today! I need to put out the gourds for the tree swallows. They should soon be here followed by the barn swallows and the purple martins.

The fields are real muddy, but maybe I can get in a walk if I stay on the edges.

Have an awesome Wednesday!

Birdtalk. Yes, Birdtalk.
I saw a Bluejay yesterday in the tree.
He was watching me while I was watching him.
He rubbed his beak on the tree as I talked to him.
I think he actually like the attention.
Then as I headed on down the street,
he flew above me and then on headed
on before me making noises as if to say
it was nice talking to you. Have a good evening.
I continued walking onward with a smile on
my face and a smile in my heart,
all from birdtalk.

Its time to bring out those tall mud boots!

Start A One-Sentence Journal

Every day, jot dot a single cheery thought.
Your sentence can be about anything-
something beautiful, hilarious, whatever.
It keeps you accountable without
making happiness feel like a chore.

What a great experience with the blue jay! I got my tree swallow gourds ready yesterday. I'll wait until Saturday to hang them. We are supposed to get lots of rain tomorrow.

Sam bought a mid size suv that will be easier for his mother to get in. It's a Volkswagen Touareg. He picks it up tomorrow.

Finally I get this darn tooth out tomorrow....

Have a wonderful Thursday!

Also good luck with that tooth. I hope it all goes well quickly and painlessly.
Wishing you the best for your Friday.

Reframe the Negative

You know those things that usually sour your mood?
Try turning them into treats.
Maybe you hate getting up when it's dark out.
Well, you have to wake up either way.
So look for the parts that are nice,
like how you love the quiet of your kitchen in the morning when it's just you.

How is Jack? Do you have any dog agility competitions coming up?

Have a great Friday!
