Weigh-in...I am weighing in early this week since I will be traveling . This morning shows I am down 1 lb. Yeah!!

I was hoping for 2lbs this week, but I am happy with 1 lb. too.

Renee & Dee - I wish you both success and hope you achieve some good results this week too.

Renee-I hope you didn't get Lyme disease. That would be awful. I hope you feel better soon. If the ticks did actually bite you, then it is better to go to the doctor right away and the doctor can prescribe a medication to help your body fight the disease from setting in. That is what my husband did. However, when I got bit and used the same medication, I got severely sick afterwards. I was one of the unlucky few who get the bad side effects from it. I was so sick afterwards, it was horrible. However, I was told that it was better to have been sick like that then risk getting Lyme disease. I hope it all works out for you. Perhaps you are tired from working so much in all this heat, and have gotten dehydrated. I don't work outside like you do, and I have been getting dehydrated a lot lately, so I can only imagine how easy it is for you to get that way too. Get well soon!

I'm back. It was a good trip visiting with family for the holiday. I ate a bit more than I wanted,
but I still managed some control. I didn't want to seem rude, but I ate just a bit to be polite.

Renee-glad to read that you are feeling better. Any more luck with the purple martins?
Will you be putting the bird houses back up?
Congratulations on losing 1.5 lbs. Yeah!!! That is terrific. I knew you could do it.
All your meals are healthy. I guess the smaller portion size did help. Keep at it, Skinny Minny.

Dee-how are you doing on your efforts? Glad to read your will power was strong strolling along all
those vendors. Good choice with the fresh apple slushy.

Time for me to get back on track after vacation.
Too much cake, that is for sure.

I need to gear up for my next stage of weight loss.
Weather is a bit cooler, which is encouraging.
I am going to jump in on your efforts and get
back on track with this healthy weight loss journey.

C'mon ladies we can do this.
'We can, we can. Can't you feel it! It is contagious.

We will get thin to win! Who wants to be skinny like a zuchinni?!?!
Well, okay, who wants to be slim and trim to win?
We all do, and we can do it. We will do it!
Let's go!!

Corinna - glad you had a good trip. The purple martins are gone now. I will put the houses back up in May of next year. I think they go to South America for the winter.

Going to be really hot for the next few days...love it!

Renee-do you have any birdhouses for birds in the winter? Perhaps for chickadees or cardinals?

Yes, the weather is lovely right now, but I think it will be very hot over the next few days. Very humid anyways. I need to get out my bike again later this week and do some riding. Tomorrow is Thursday already. This week is flying by. Stay hydrated!

Renee-yes it has definitely been hot. Good weather though for drying hay and baling it. I hope it all goes well for you. Stay hydrated. I think rain is coming around Sunday. We had a new roof put on a week ago, and we expect to have some new gutters installed next week. I will be glad when it is all finished. Are you enjoying your new kitchen floor? I bet it looks very nice.

I'm doing much better with the grocery temptations. I am able to avoid buying anything fattening. However, if there is something ready to eat, such as a cookie sample, then that would be a different matter. However, I will take any success even if it is small steps. I am getting there. It just takes time. I will make it. I just need to be patient and persistent.
