OH MY GOSH Renee, that is wonderful!!! Congratulations, you did terrific. I am so happy for you!!! Don't forget to change you ticker and signature blocks too. You earned it, yeah!!! Must be from all that work with the hay. Who knows, just be glad it is working for you. Well for me, I stayed the same, but how can I be sad. I am so excited for you.

Today was a car shopping day. Test drove a few, but still not finding exactly what we want, but we are narrowing the list down and getting closer.

Hope you have a wonderful Sunday Skinny Minnie!!!

Corinna - What style car are you leaning towards? I love my Trailblazer! Sadly they don't make them anymore.

Yesterday I picked more tomatoes and made a big pot of tomato sauce to freeze. I think that will be the end of most of the tomatoes. I still need to freeze peppers and dig the carrots. A bit chilly here this morning. 41 degrees at 6 AM.

Have a great Sunday!

Today started off cool but it was a lovely day. I bought some flowers (orange/yellow mums, and white mums) to put around the house, a small Alberta Blue Spruce to put by the garage, a few pumpkins by the front door steps, and some Indian corn to hang on my door. Just decorating for the season. Got the flowers/tree all planted, so I am happy for now. It looks and feels like Fall now.

We have been looking at pick-up trucks and SUVs. An SUV would make more sense since we wouldn't use the truck all the time. We could just get a trailer for the SUV. However, we keep looking at trucks too. When we find what we want, we will know it.

Tonight I cooked up some fresh green beans with mushrooms and onions for my husband. I have a few left over so I may have some tomorrow.

Hope you have a good week!

Sam is still on vacation so we took a little trip to the Lehigh Valley Zoo. We hadn't been there in a few years. I'm not really a fan of zoos. I like to see animals in their natural habitat, but we wouldn't be able to see some of the animals if it weren't for zoos and some zoos do a great job of breeding endangered species. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was and the animals looked well taken care of. I think today we are going to find a place to play some miniature golf. My secret passion!

Have a wonderful day!

I have to agree with you about the zoos. I like to see animals all natural.

Miniature golf is fun! I hope you have a good time.

Do you have any more horse shows this year?

Looks like we will have a chance of rain each day through Friday. We need it here. Hope you have all your hay in. Have a good week.

Went and played miniature golf and they also had an arcade. We had so much fun! I love the older arcade games.
Had some rain overnight with more to come this week.
No more shows for this year.....I did 16 over the spring and summer.
Yes, we do have more hay to get in. Hopefully we will have a few days of warm dry weather in the weeks ahead.

Have a great Tuesday!

Sounds like you had a lot of fun at mini-golf and the arcade. I'm glad. After all that work you have been doing, you need a break to have some fun. Nothing much going on here. Doing some laundry this evening. Don't know if I will watch a rerun of the Presidential debate or not. It is too depressing. I have to vote for someone though, so I need to be well informed. Maybe there will be some other new shows on TV tonight for an hour to get my mind to relax and sleep good. Have a good Wednesday!

Did you find a car?

Have a great Wednesday!

We have rain for the next few days here too. Thunder and lightning building up now so can't stay on-line too long.
What do you plan on doing once he retires? I think about perhaps dog training, but not sure just yet.
Today we found a car on-line in Allentown. So maybe we will be headed up that way this weekend. Not sure yet.
We are still talking to the car dealer right now. Perhaps if we do, we can stop by and say hi.
What's your favorite fall food? Mine is roasted squash. I am thinking about getting some this weekend. I will have
to visit a farmers stand.
Have a great Thursday!

Having a nice rain here today. I picked 3 buckets of bell peppers yesterday and still need to pick the frying peppers and dig the carrots. The garden did very well this year. My freezers are full. Let me know if you are coming up this way on the weekend. A visit would be awesome!

I think my favorite fall food is anything with pumpkin in it...pie, bread, cake. All low calorie of course

Enjoy your day!

Yes,we had rain all day here. Think it will be that way tomorrow too. I spent most of the day eating food of various types and no exercise. Not a very good day for being good and staying on the healthy track.

I'm glad you had a successful garden this year. All your hard work paid off.

Right now I don't think we are going to go up and take a look at that car. Just too far away and it has some big scratches.
If we change our minds, I will let you know. We looked at two more vehicles this evening in the area, but still not just right.
Hope we find something soon.

Getting lots of rain today. Guess I will catch up on some reading. Picked my fryer peppers yesterday and froze them. Now all I have left to do is the carrots.

Corinna - hope you find a car soon. Do you have a long drive to work? What style of car are you looking to buy?

Walked up 8 flights of stairs
Walked 3 miles during lunch
Walked for 1 hour with dog

Meals:
Breakfast- egg and biscuit
Lunch- cheese pierogies
Snack- 1/4 orange, 1/2 banana, breakfast snack bar
Dinner:- Veggie pizza, Cranberry muffins

Renee-we are looking at SUVs and trucks. It will serve as our second vehicle.
I drive about 1 hour 15 minutes one way to work with good traffic flow.
Is it hard to dig up all the carrots? Do you have a special tool to help dig them up?
When I was growing up, we grew green peppers, so I know a little about them.

Tomorrow is weigh-in. I already know it will not be a good week for me. I have
eaten too much food. I can feel the weight gain. Hopefully you will repeat your success.

Corinna - the carrots are easy to dig. I use a shovel to loosen them, then just grab the tops and give a pull. The work comes when they need to be peeled, cut and blanched. I forgot to answer your question about Sams' retirement. He wants to do more farming. Perhaps sell firewood or get a sawmill. We have lots of woods.

Well, I stayed the same at weigh-in......

Have a great weekend!

Well my weight went up 3.5 lbs. Yes, its true. So I have some work to do. A lot of work to do. I can't keep going like this with the yo-yo weight loss. I need some major changes. I slacked off with my exercise during the rain. That is not a good excuse. I should have found an alternative way to exercise in the house. Plus my meal portions were not limited. I ate as much as I wanted. I just can't do that and expect to have good results. I have to have better focus and discipline! I will have to pray to God tomorrow in church to give me the strength and wisdom I need to tackle this.
