Getting ready for the ghost and goblins tonight. Much cooler today. Glad you were able to get a ride in with Steel. I am sure he enjoyed it. Yes, Jack is easy to work with because he has the desire to learn and play. It is fun for both of us. It is probably something like that with Steel and you, but I imagine it is a bit harder with a horse.

You will have to think of some indoor activities to keep you busy in the evenings to avoid those extra temptations.

My knees don't hurt all the time, but they would be happier if they weren't supporting so much weight. Today is grocery shopping day. I need to load up on fruit so I can grab a healthy snack. We've been busy selling hay everyday. As soon as it turned a little colder, everyone wanted to stock up for the winter. Sam's been busy on his days off getting the soil tested to see how much lime we need to add to the fields.

Wow, it is good that you are selling your hay. All of your hard work is paying off. I asked about your knees because I see your state has a lot of organized walks, perhaps you could try a 5km or 10km walk sometime. It would be fun to try one together.

Just one more week of election commercials and election news. I am tired of it all as well.

Today was a good day for activities. I got to sleep for an extra hour, which I was able to do with no problem. I had a nice morning walk. I made it to church early rather than late. We went for a drive for a few hours, and stopped to see some dog agility trials for about 45 minutes. I was able to find the person in charge for the event, and they will help me get in to future training classes with my dog. I had a lovely walk around my local town, seeing all the foliage , and lovely old houses. My husband made me lunch, and he did the laundry for me. The weather was perfect. It was a good day.

Regarding my meals, they were not the greatest for breakfast and supper, so I need to redirect my effort in that area. However, I feel happy tonight. So I will enjoy it.

I bet your kitchen is sparkling after all your hard work. Three hours of cleaning equates to a lot of calories being burned off. I hope you have a terrific Monday!

Not such a good day yesterday. Sam went to work, but when I got home from church, he was home. His mother was in a car accident. She was making a left into her church parking lot and hit a car coming towards her. She's 89 years old and shouldn't be driving. She's in the hospital with a couple broken ribs, swollen knee, hurt wrist , finger and her face is bruised. I think her airbag did the most damage. Her car is totaled. The people in the other car were ok. She lives in the main house and we're going to have to figure out how to manage it. They kept her overnight because of her age.

Looks like a beautiful day. The sunrise is gorgeous!

    Enjoy your day!
  • Oh Renee, I am sorry to hear that your mother-in-law was in a car accident. That is so sad. I hope she heals painlessly and quickly. It is hard for older people to accept that they can't do the things they use to, especially when it comes to their independence. I hope you can figure out some way for her care when she gets home. Glad to hear that the people in the other car were okay. She needs your sympathy and understanding after this situation and during this transition. I hope things go smoothly.
