Kiwi, heee-heee, Daddies and their girls! It's so hard on the Dads to let their little girls grow up.

Painty, Cowpernia would have crocodiles on her back porch, she's in Florida. No moose in florida, right Cowper?

Cowpernia, I have glass french doors on back of the house, and it only gives me the willies if I'm home by myself. So as long as you never let DS leave the house, you should be fine. Is the front door glass just a little one? What color did you pick? When is the housewarming?

Lohani, I hope the Dr. fixes your typing arm.

I got a phone call from my homeowner's insurance company. She said that an inspector had come to my house and there is moss on the roof and branches. Number 1 - no one asked my permission to inspect my house when I wasn't home. Number 2 - I looked and there is no moss or branches on my roof. None. Number 3 - I've never heard of insurance companies calling up to harrass ppl about there home maintenance. Can you believe this?

On that note of utter pistivity, I'll say sayonara. I'll see you cows when I'm back. Kisses.

Never heard of Insurance co's doing inspections unless they were planning to write a NEW policy. I wonder if it was some scam to find out if you were who they thought you were? I'd be calling the state insurance board.... or asking for a number where I could call THEM.
Creepy.
Would rather have crocodiles in the back yard.
We're going to Pilot Point Tx tomorrow to see the "obscene" mural of "Eve" that their city counsel is requiring to have removed from some business establishment wall. The charge is providing obscene materials to minors.... I think. Texans really ARE nuts sometimes.

Well, I hope you informed her that you were growing that moss for a reason and to mind her own business! Have a good time on your romantic jaunt! Bring back a giant redwood!

It's raining here in music festival land. Raining on the Phish concert, I suspect, raining on DD's Soulfest weekend, raining on my plans today. Oh well, we're going to the "big city" today and buy a discounted monitor to replace mine -- it's getting a little haywire. I thought my eyesight was getting even worse for a while there. Turns out it's not me blinking and refocusing -- it's the monitor For once, I'm not imagining things!

Then we're supposed to go to a town celebration with music and fireworks in the town where DD has her music lessons. But it's looks a bit bleak in this rain. We'll see.

We had a lovely visit with 3D friends at their camp last night. This is my cleanie dietitian friend, and her sister, niece and their adorable little pomeranian were there too. So, along with good conversation, a great dinner (taco style chicken on tortillas with about a dozen fixin's), I got to play with a delightful furry lap dog. Our friends might possibly be moving to Oregon of all places!!!!! Waaaaaaaayyyy to far away. But then again, I hear we're all moving there, aren't we?

Have a great weekend all

Kiwi

I know that you cows (remember when that used to sound harsh?) are worthless for advice. What do I bother? Herbie looked at my house and told me that it needs a few more GFI plugs. Like in the bathroom, by the kitchen sink and outdoors.

He also handed over some cash which he says came from the sale of my old car. I'm sure it didn't. Anyway, my washer doesn't spin water out anymore. My dryer has been sitting unused for four years while I used the landlord's gas dryer. Herbie suggests getting new cheap ones. He thinks they can be bought for $100 each. He's wrong as you know.

So I can move the washer and see if it's repairable or buy a new one. I can move the dryer and hope mice aren't living in it. Yuck. I want new ones.

dr gave me a cortisone shot to shoulder. it hurts like a s.o.b.

doesn't it make me sound tough to say it that way???? I love to swear

you do need gfi's near water. i'm sure its the law. i can't even say how much it hurts me to agree with herbie.

get a new washer and dryer. i don't think they cost 100, but they aren't expensive like they used to be. god bless that foreign slave labor.

kiwi, ir'll be like woodstock.

bags, my original shoulder injury was on the driving range. do you play at all? i get too bored on thew course, i prefer to hit drivers [due to afore mentioned attention span of gnat]. my boys love it.

let's all move to oregon. bagzie and wabby will do our gardens. dh's new project is a brikk patio. tedious. i think a 6' concrete apron around the house is the way to go.

i'm ebaying this weekend. i never win. i'm bidding on mtorcross clothess for the boys. people keep outbidding me.

i have to go,,,,,seeing ringo tonight

Ringo was really short. I mean short. Under 5'5" maybe less. It was an excellent concert.

My cousins want me to take them to the train which is 3 hours from my house tomorrow(they are 2 hours away in the other direction....think triangle). They are with my other cousin who blew them off for most of their visit and now is trying again. I said no. Haven't my kids done enough for my family? In all your experience of me, has any one of these people EVER done ANYTHING for me? My mom is gone, I'm free of this.

I have such a lousy attitude. By the time I'm old it will just be me and dh...I'm too much of a grouch for anyone else...but then again, the reason I'm a grouch is that I'm tired from doing everything and watching everyone else sit by the pool like their fat arses are glued to the chairs.

The cousin in question is the one who acted like my mom's funeral was a cocktail party. She was the life of the party...she even took pictures. It was so inappropriate.

Ach, I'm getting myself all worked up.

so far so good on my ebay bids. We'll see.

I'm being foolish with the arm, gotta go. Ringo was great. After seeing this, I would even go see Paul...who I don't really like. Too pretty in that precious way. But we do have the same birthday. They did a tribute to George, my own true love. I found it odd that our relationship wasn't mentioned.

I don't feel like sleeping. DH turned of the tv and now i'll be bored in there. oh well.

i am your alter ego Lushbag----as soon as everyone stops bothering me i will be happy to spend my time with dh,turning the lights out early ,so no one will DROP by------you are tired of fat arsed-chair leeches and i am tired of just the relentless BOREfest of laundry and dishes and FOOOOOOOOOOGGGGGGGGGGG-----of course,PMS is a bit of a factor as well as the creepy* menopause *freakout symptoms.--- i heard the the cortisone really can work to EASE the pain---why does it still hurt???? AS far as golf goes,i go to the range with them but send them to the course alone----glorious free time to roam as i wish!!! i LOVE it---they have all gone to an early morning shotgun start 'juniour/seniour' tournament,so now if i wasn't so lazy i would go to Timmy's and get my coffee----we have forgotten how to make it and always have to bring it in!!! STUUUPID !!!----cOWPIE!!!! yes you need the water grounding plugs or whatever you call them---my dad was an electrician so i have them where i need them---it really makes me mad that he has died and ruined all my upgrades.

I am so happy to get up in the morning and find posts by Lushzie, Bagzie and Kiwzie.

Lush, I am proud of you for standing up for yourself and saying no to these people. If you're going to be anyone's servant, you can be ours. Help me find a bed. My bedroom is small (I don't know the dimensions) and I think I'd be happier with a small bed (iron maybe like ds's). The only bed I've found so far that appealed to me has thick square posts on the head and footboards. It will take up my floor space.

Bagzie, your life sounds wonderfulllllllllll about nine months out of the year. You have a perfect beautiful house, a mom I envy, sissies and bubba who are normal people and highly accomplished children. I have NO DOUBT that the other kids are also wonderful. They're gorgeous. They just outnumber you. On the other hand, it would be nice to have someone besides me for DS to talk to.

Kiwi, I never got that email. Where'd they send it?

Norwegian couple asleep in iron bed when lightning strikes

The Associated Press

OSLO, Norway (July 28, 8:19 a.m. ADT) - Trying to sleep through a storm wasn't easy for a Norwegian couple, especially since their cast-iron double bed took a direct hit from a lightning bolt that lit up the bedroom.
Idar Roenningen and companion Charlotte Amundsen, both 28, were kept awake by thunder late Friday night at their country home outside Porsgrunn, 60 miles southwest of the capital, Oslo. So, Roenningen unplugged some appliances.

Shortly after returning to bed, the room flared "like 10 welder's torches" and then everything went dark, Roenningen said.

Smoke from charred electrical sockets traced through the room.

Pillows apparently insulated the couple from the iron bed frame. They were not injured, but they chose to spend the rest of the night on the sofa.

"I think I'm more afraid of lightning now than I'll ever be," Roenningen told The Associated Press.

Their 5-year-old son, Jonathan, normally liked to sneak into bed with the couple, but he was away for a holiday break.

better to be in a bed with posts that will just splinter and cause you to bleed, than a bed that will char you to a sizzling mad-cow steak

CowPeach, you can't buy a leetle leetle bed! You might want company! What are you doing, taking the smallest room in the house for yourself? You're supposed to live in the Master Suite you know! (which ought to renamed, don't you think?)

I don't know what happened to your email from BC, maybe you have set your preferences not to be notified.

Lowwwwwwwwwwwie, (that's another sound cows make) I'm glad you declined to cart your cousins all over heck and back. Your extended family is some nervy.

We saw a good band last night. They had an outdoor concert and fireworks in Othertown. We also visited dd's music teacher and her DH. They were so happy to see us. Maybe we should move to Othertown. People like us there.

Bagz, I don't blame you for craving a little alone time! I don't think I could cope will all those young'ns myself. I crave alone time when there's no one else here but DH (But I'm obviously an anti-social DaMe)

I'm not doing anything today except fiddle with my new monitor (it's gigantic!)

Kiwiphobia, I am getting a new queensize mattress. I hope that's big enough for company. I just don't want a big cumbersome head and foot board.

How it is the monitor?

I'm so glad I found you cowsies. This is my reward for being a slob. (does that sound sarcastic?)
