88* today I never thought I'd b cheering for that temp, but after having the mid 90*s, today is actually breathable. On Sunday 88* w rain showers

Carri I was adding to my post late yesterday when we got an 'electrical power surge' & my page went blank My post was a note about swimsuits. I think u read it cause u remember seeing it. Here's a repeat of what I might have said yesterday???

The steps for keeping swimsuit fabric looking great & colors from fading: buy 1 piece swimwear 1 size larger than your normal clothing size so that the Lycra/spandex doesn't pull & stretch-out-of shape from cellulite/back-fat/mid-driff fat/belly-fat/butts.
2-piece suits, bikini/tankini suits should fit comfortably & not snug for the same concerns as a 1 piece fabric suit, but w/o the concerns regarding back-fat/mid-driff fat bulging.
When you find a suit that you love, buy 2 in different colors. I have 9 suits, bikini's/tankini's & all colors except black, orange & my dh has 5 trunks, enjoy being a 'girl'

This only takes "5 minutes of thoughtful care" to have a pretty suit: * Never-ever wash your swimsuit in a washer/dry in a dryer or hang outdoors to dry. Instead rinse suits w a gentle soap made for delicates or this is what I enjoy doing. I have a bottle of unscented baby shampoo that I rinse my suits with in my bathroom sink that I add a drop of fragrance to the water (sometimes vanilla, cucumber-melon, coconut, Beware 'you'll get some smiles when you enter a pool wearing a pretty scent) but Never/ever squeeze the excess water out w your fingers because that will stretch the fibers, sooo to keep your suit looking great; & to get the excess water out, just always roll-up your suit in a towel to absorb the majority of the water & then lay it to dry on a fresh towel out of the sun/heat; I frequently lay my suits on a towel, across the towel-bar of my walk-in shower door to drip inside the shower. If I am traveling in a hotel, I lay my suit on a towel across the bathtub to finish drying overnight. I ruined/stretched-out some suits in my past years before I began sewing & learning about fabric care.

Okay I'm sure you probably always do those things to keep your swimwear fabric looking beautiful, so please don't shoot-me for my thoughts....My friends always layed their suits across their deck-railing or dried in their dryers & squeezed the water out of their suits & the Lycra lost shape from the fabrics stretching; after using my fabric care hints their suits r lasting longer & r looking pretty.

About your ta-ta's/twin-girls, I think I suggested using a nude or black bra that fits (you may, or may not need to cut-off the front portion using only the cups/sides; sewing it inside your suit or using a fabric glue. Or wear a cute sports bra w a swimsuit-bottom or do a color-block layer your sports-bra wearing it inside your suit.

Do whatever you like, b your own designer because there r no swimwear rules, B a Free spririt a outlaw. Hmm your dh Will pay attention to your new bod When he see's you in a bikini & your new curvy bod returning Put on some pumps or Espadrills & flaunt in front of him....you said you just got a pedicure

Girls, Have a Happy & Safe Weekend Dee

Hi Ladies. It's Friday and I am on vacation all next week! It's a staycation and I'm looking forward to.

Just having time to piddle around, get in early morning walks, take a nap when I want, go see all the fun summer movies.

I didn't go to TOPS last night as I had to go to the salon to get my hair done. I have to "work" to keep it red these days. I am a natural redhead and plan to always be a redhead!

Usually I go on Saturday but my stylist is going to the beach for two weeks so it was last night or wait.

Carri: What a cool and inspiring thing that your work did. That has to be just so cool!

It sounds like you are loving the water aerobics; it is really a good workout. Gives you resitance but gentle to the joints. Keep it up. I"m sure your DH notices...if not, he will start to when heads start turning in public. Start practicing your smile so you can BEAM when that happens.

I'm sure hearing that guy say that was a major boost! Enjoy it; you have worked hard for it.

Dee: I am not the karakoe Susie that saw. I think it would be fun to do that though!

Thanks for the tips on how to care for a bathing suit. I don't wash mine in the washer/drying, but i have wrung it out..from now on I will use that towel method to get the excess water out of it.

You both were talking about the heat..it is awful isn't it?! We had a major storm tonight around 5:00 p.m. and a lot of people don't have power. We even lost it at work and it didn't come back on so we left. I was there a bit late getting things in order for being out a week.

The storm did cool things off.

I'll be checking in over the weekend and week.

I told Carri I was going to stop being lazy and update you all Weighed in at 192.4 this morning so I'm happy with that! Been eating better and doing a lot of work outside so that helps. With this heat wave I haven't been able to do as much so I hope it passes soon. I stopped my bc 7 days ago bc my period came a month early again for the 2nd cycle in a row (I am on the one period every 3 months pills). I have had a headache for the past 7 days and I'm guessing they are hormone headaches from the hormone withdrawal....has anyone ever been through this? If it doesn't go away I may just start the pills again even though I wanted to give my body a break from them.
Hope everyone is doing well, I'll read up on everyone when I'm not on my phone. Hope everyone stays cool!!

Hi Everyone,

Vacation is off to a good start. Really enjoying the expanse of time in front of me.

Went to a family cookout last night and did very well with the food. I hadn't seen some this side of the family for a long time so I spent the time visiting and talking instead of eating.

I am about to head out to church but wanted to pop in.

Dee: I have tried those Cadbury Double Chocolate Ice Cream Bars and they are good and very satisfying for those times that one "just needs something chocolate and creamy".

Carri: 202!!! Girl....you are so close! you can do it.

Mel: Sorry about the headaches. I take the store brand of tylonel migraine and it is good stuff! You look amazing at 192 (checked out pics on FB! lol) and I have seen all the projects that you have been busy with.

Ok..got to run. Be back later!

Morning Girls, gonna be another hot one here today, and as far as the eyes I can see I guess....doesn't show any relief from the 90's in the 10 day forecast

Mel - 192 is a great number, its far below the 200 line so that is great...ya know I am also on the 3 month pills...I did have some break thru bleeding during like my first 2-3 packs of them but now since I have been on them for about 2 years I don't have any issue ...I take Seasonique...the ones with the hormone pills in the 7 day week when you have your period, supposed to cut down on the headaches and stuff, and boy does it ...when I was on Seasonale with out those pills I was miserable during that week...hope it gets better for you.

Susie - I am so jealous of your week off ahead of you ...I know it will fly by but just enjoy it and relax....sounds awesome huh?

Hi Dee !!! Hope you had a great weekend.

I did something to my back last night in bed ( and know it wasn't sexy haha ), I twisted or slept wrong and it hurts...trying to work it out today, and it is better now than it was this morning but don't know if I need to work out tonight or just relax it ...on the fence

We are having a breakfast pitch in at work tomorrow for the 4th and I am brining hash brown casserole, so got to make that tonight ....hope I have the time though ...

Have a great day girls !!!

Wow is it ever hot! Sweltering is more like it.

I am in to my 2nd day of vacation this week. I got up today and yesterday around 8 a.m. and went to the Y to do my workout. Feeling pretty good about that!

Food is going well. I am off the soda now and I sure do feel much better.

Today I'm taking care of things to do with budget and so forth. I think tonight we are going to take a drive up to a little town called Yellow Springs. It's about 40 min away and it's a "hippy town". Really..when you are there it's like being in the 70's. We will walk around and listen to the street music and then we will drive about 5 min out of town to go to Young's Dairy were they have homemade ice cream. They also have put-put golf and batting cages and there is just a lot of people watching.

Today is a lazy day!

Dee: How is your back? Did you end up getting into the pool for that workout? They say that gentle workouts are good for you when you have a strain and I would think that the water would be the best place to do that.

I hope you are feeling better.

Hi Dee! What did you think of the Batchelorette last night?

Your plans tonight sound really fun, I love doing little things like that....but I do have a bone to pick with you, lol - you call me Dee all of the time , when you respond to me ...I know you are probably just typing too fast and don't notice...haha ...I am just giving you a hard time

Hi Dee - hope you are having a good week so far ....

Today we did have our breakfast pitchin, everyone LOVED my hashbrown casserole even though I thought there was too much green onion in it, but oh well .

Everybody have a great July 4th !!!!

Be safe.

Happy July 3-4th Girls Hope you'all enjoy the Fireworks!
We woke-up to a beautiful cool thunderstorm @ 3 am, soo refreshing. We're still in the low 90*s which I'm thankful for, after seeing the national weather report/heat-wave.

Carri, what style/color of swimsuit did you buy? I hope your back is ok now; I like to float on my back & slowly do the side-stroke or back-stroke when my body hurts & u still burn some fat calories & u get a gentle muscle stretch. It's nice to hear your pds r falling-off your bod while u r having fun swimming. R u in a aqua class, I taught evening classes 1996-1999 @ our local Holiday Inn pool, if u enjoy it get tested to b a certified aqua aerobics instructor, its lots of fun teaching it
How's your Grammy doing; did the lymph node in her chest have cancer in it, from her biopsy last month? I hope u can talk to her every week. How's your friends heart surgery recovery doing? Your family has had a sad start to the summer May God Bless You All 'with more time together'.

Susie, I love the night you've planned...Relaxing & romantic, we enjoy those dates also. for going to work-out in the morning in this heat. Do u have a "Susie Day" planned? We didn't sell our boat so our finances r still screwed-up & that's why we can't drive to the Columbus Zoo this summer & meet u & your dh. We're staying in MI this summer for our vacations.

Tonight we're going to a free concert @ the fairgrounds & hear a Beatles tribute band, then watch fireworks. Tomorrow we'll go to a arts/crafts show, then go to a BBQ fund-raiser for a family that lost their home to a fire last week. So this year our July 3-4 holiday is pretty relaxing/peaceful just the 2 of us for a change, instead of hanging w friends & our sons family.

HK/MC is going to b good tonight, gotta tape it while we're gone. What's the crazy drama w the girls on HK On the Bachelorette: I'm glad Emily cut-loose Chris finally, he's got Ego problems. I wish Jef had opened-up to her earlier, he's a good guy & their chemistry is sweet/pure; my dh commented 'Jef needs to b 4" taller' (Emily loves her clothes) so he'll b cut next week. I loved the 'messy bedroom joke' that Sean played on Emily & also when he ran down the street for 1 more kiss when she was leaving him But she'll probably choose Arie to marry, because she's familiar w his lifestyle (Ricki's daddy). Glass House, what do u think? the gay guy is pretty emotional & the older woman is loony Just 2 more weeks & Big B. is back

Okay will you'all start sharing your food logs again cause I'm getting bored w choosing my meals again. Give me your ideas. There's just too much food to choose from this summer.

Todays menu:
Breakfast:
ice tea
English muffin w applebutter
3 choc. peppermint patties

Lunch:
3 c. watermelon
2 devilled eggs
3 choc. peppermint patties
glass chocolate milk

Supper:
2 c. pasta/veggie salad (main dish salad=veggies, carbs, protein, fiber)
lemon ice water
1/4 (2 slices) key lime pie

no Snacks tonight whenever I have dessert/candy w my meals. Just drink a ice-slushy flavored w chopped fruit; or flavor my water w a slice of cucumber, lemon or mint if I'm hungry later.

Carri! Yes, I am typing to fast when I call you Dee--sorry about that!
I hope you find a nice shady place at the BBQ today and that you have a nice cool mint ice-tea to sip.

Just think about how much hotter you would be with the excess weight on you!

Dee: Sorry to hear you won't make it to Columbus this summer. It's hot anyway...I like to visit zoo's in the spring and early fall when it's cooler. The animals are much more active. Whenever you get the chance to come to the Columbus Zoo, just let me know and I will head that way--it's only 1 hr from me.

We had a great time on our road trip yesterday. I had also forgotten that it was the 26th anniversay of our first date! My DH remembered. We were driving and he looks over at me and says "By the way, Happy Anniversary". I was blown away that he remembered (and I didn't!). That man gets some extra points with me!

The Y is closed today and so I am skipping my workout but I will be there tomorrow morning.

Ok Dee, here is what I had yesterday:

Breakfast/Lunch: 2 scrambled eggs, 1 p. of white toast

Snack: Watermelon

Dinner: Garden salad with some home-made french fries

Snack: double dip ice cream cone.

Not the best food but there it is; I'm on vacation!

Morning Ladies !!! Had a really good 4th although I was outside ALL day in near 100 degree weather...at least I was pool side the whole time and in and out of the pool which kept me somewhat cool. I am very fair skinned so I kept slathering on sunscreen all day but still ended up getting a little sun burn but nothing major...I was able to keep myself still in my calorie range and for that I am thankful ...

NSV - was me being in my swimsuit in front of a LOT of people I was just meeting and I didn't really feel that self conscience ...amazing, I have came a long way

Glass House - no I haven't watched it at all, I thought it was too much like Big Brother so I thought I would just wait for my favorite, can't wait for it to start.
Bachlorette - its funny because someone on the WW forum site said that a spoiler came out that she had chosen Chris in the end and that they were no longer together, which kind of ruined it for me...but then on this weeks she sent him home so I was so excited that it wasn't true...I also tend to lean towards Arie for some reason....but I also think she really likes Jef ...can't wait to see next weeks....gonna be hard for her to send one of those three home.
Hells Kitchen - OMG those women on there fight like crazy maniacs don't they Dee? Good Lord ...it gets ridiculous ....I love this show and MC so much...

Dee - my suit is one of those ones that looks almost like a little sun dress or mini cover up ...I absolutely love it, covers all the right things in all the right area's, haha ...We didn't actually have fireworks last night due to a burn ban and personal fireworks ban here in our county, so it was nice and quiet for me to get to sleep for work today...yes, I have to work today, haha

And then I have my yearly endo appt today for my diabetes so at least I get to go home early.

Yes, my back is back to normal, thanks for asking...I must have worked thru the kinks with my pool exercises...no, we aren't going to any classes we are just making things up ourselves, seems to be working so far.

My Grandma had her huge lymph node removed on Tuesday, it was a big ball of cancer unfortunately but they did get it all removed and now she is at home recovering, she will start her chemo soon. My friend with the heart problem also had her surgery a few weeks back and is home recovering with meds...she says she is just lucky to be alive.

Susie - hope you had a great evening with hubs...that was so sweet of him to remember your first date like that, he scored extra points with me and I don't even know him, haha ...have a great day !!

Okay, here is what I ate yesterday, no real rhyme or reason but I was at a cook out and at their mercy....also got up too late to have breakfast.

Breakfast - none

Lunch - hot dog ( and bun ), tortilla chips and some buffalo chicken dip, and fruit

Dinner - hot dog ( and bun - these were grilled and SO good, I love a grilled hotdog ), and more fruit

Snack - handful of chips

Yes, not my best day nutrition wise but under calories ...today of course will be back to my normal so I will have better menu items tomorrow, haha

Have a great day everyone....I am so tired

Still blazing hot here gals! and no relief until maybe Sunday/Monday.

I am fretting a bit. DH went to the doctor for his routine blood work and they heard a irregular heartbeat. So they did a EKG and it came back that they suspect Atrial Fibrillation. He is having a echocardiogram tomorrow and then they have a appointment for him with a cardiologist.

They told us this wasn't life or death but they sure are moving things along fast.

This is all I can think about right now......

Morning Girls ...as Susie said, it's SUPER hot still ...it's just gross...takes away all your energy and all you want to do is stay inside. Doesn't make for a good Summertime...

We still have a personal firework and burn ban in our county which is supposed to expire today, but it is worse now than when they first ordered it so I suppose they will extend it ...doesn't bother me, I hate fireworks anyhow...too noisy...and I don't need my house burned down my dumb neighbors...there is a 2500.00 fine if they do them, well after a warning I am sure.

Going to do my water aerobics again tonight, we got a new workout plan for tonight, should be nice and sore ( and tired ) tomorrow.

Susie - so sorry to hear about dh ...I am not sure what that condition is but if the doc's say it's not that serious, I would go with that...but I know it is still so hard when something is wrong and you have to worry. I will be thinking of you guys and praying that it all comes out fine.
No relief in sight here either, I think we have two days of low 80's ( Monday and Tuesday ) and then right back up to the 90's ...my electric bills are gonna be so pretty.

Watched the 2nd HK last night and couldn't believe how those girls were fighting...wish Kimmie would have just flattened Robin, I would have had to, I can't stand anyone yelling and getting in my face like that...I am scrappy...haha...and I was so hoping that Ramsey would just send Robin home but of course not. Oh well ...............

Dee - did you see that they are going to have four returning house guests on BB ? Wonder who they will be? Can't wait for this to come on. ONe of the girls is the bass player from a band I used to listen to...should be interesting.

Well gotta get back to work ...hope this Friday work day flies by ...ready for the weekend.

See ya

Hi. We had a nice storm last night and got a bit of rain and a lot of wind!

It is hot today but it seems that the storm cleared the air a bit.

Today is our last day of vacation. We did DH's echocardiogram test this morning and his doctor's office got us a appointment for Monday with a cardiologist close to where we work and he also comes to our town as well.

We weren't thrilled about going to the doctor on Monday since we will just both be getting back to work but we can work most of the day and it's better to get on with this and see what course of action we will be taking.

I don't know what people do without faith and prayer...it's my rock!

Carri: What is going to be different about your pool workout? Can't wait to hear about it.
I hope the ban on fireworks stays in place; those people in your neighborhood sound crazy!

Dee: Looking forward to hearing from you.

We are going to a movie in a little while; we are seeing Spiderman.
