  • Carri! I kept thinking about this yesterday and wondered if you had pulled into ONEderland and you have!!! I bet it is beautiful there?!

SOOOOOOO HAAAPPPYYYYYY for you. You worked hard to get there!!!
    Congratulations on this accomplishment.

This is a quick post..getting ready for church but I just had to see if Carri had arrived, so I logged on really quickly.

I'll talk at you all later.

I do have a 2 lb loss to report at TOPS on Thursday. Was happy to get rid of 2 lbs of that 4 lb gain I had..now to get the other two gone this week.
  • Carri to Your "OneHundred's Again"
  • Morning Ladies …what a weekend, first saw 199 on Friday ( barely ) and then down to 198 on Sunday…so got my normal two pound loss in which is all I am looking for, I’ll take it …feels so good to be back in the 100’s however I don’t feel safely in them till about 195 since just a normal water weight gain could put me back over at 198…and of course my TOM could as well, which is coming next week darn it…

But to 198 marks 40lbs down !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woohoo, that is a lot of fat !! Our friends have chickens and they gave me a 50lb bag of feed to hold just so I could get some idea of how much it was ( minus 10lbs ), and it was quite a feed bag, lol

Thanks for the Congrats Susie and Dee !!!

    Hi Mel !!

Did you both have a good weekend? I did have a good one, was pretty active during it, got my pool exercises in yesterday before it started to rain…yes, you are hearing me right, rain …haha….but only for about 5 mins, we are still in a severe drought area and we are also under a water restriction, we can no longer water our yards at this point….I have no real water pressure to speak of. Hope your rain situation is better where you are at. Indiana is pretty much all in a severe drought with water restrictions right now….so sad for the farmers here.

Hope you all have a great Monday.

  • Morning Ladies…awfully lonely in here, need more recruits …c’mon Lurkers, start posting !!!!!!

I was thinking earlier when I saw a post about what is your next big goal and mine would have to be 188 ….odd number I know…but about ten years ago I went from 258 ( my highest ever weight ) down to 188 by doing WW. I remember feeling so small at that weight, it’s the lowest I have been since gaining weight in my 20’s…I could go in to any store and find something to wear….SO, that is why my next big goal is to get to 188 or really below…and I am only 10lbs away from it right now…I don’t know how I will celebrate it. I know I need a bunch of new clothes…pants really…everything is getting way too big and ridiculous looking on me now.

After the 188 goal I don’t know what my next big goal would be …probably just take it a decade at a time at that point.

How are you all doing today?

    Carri
  • Well I guess it is just little old me in this thread now, lol .........

Hope everyone is having a good day and week !!

    Carri
  • Hey Carri, I did post yesterday & then it began storming, rain/thunder & I had a power-surge & my pc crashed/went black as I said good-bye. I was mad & didn't rewrite it when the power came back.
Basically it said, I know you'll hit your current goal & b @ 160 pds for Halloween Because u r seeing the results of your personal project/goals happening & 'You' r 'Loving Your body Again'

Nothing exciting is happening w us, same as normal. We did hit 102* on Monday & I hated it, way too much humidity this summer w the temps. We're supposed to b back into our normal summer 80's for the next few days

BB is on tonight, I hope they toss-out Russell's brother soon, I don't have a fav on it yet. Bachelore Pad will b good w the fan's playing it, the previews look fun. Will HK everrrr kick Robin's butt out the door & back-off Barbie OMG, Kim is a bitc too. I don't know who I want to win MC.

Time to get back to work now.

  • Hi! I have been thinking about you all. This has been a very busy week with my Director here from England. We had a lot of Leadership team meetings to do.

I have worked most days from 7:00 a.m. (I have a 45 min commute) to 7:00 p.m. There are always PowerPoints to tweek and rescheduling of meetings because meetings ran over and it is just crazy when she is here. I don't know how she does it.

When she is here I get little of my regular work completed.

I had a migraine from Tuesday afternoon until last night that I could only get the edge off...and I just kept going.

So, nothing for me to report on weight-loss. I haven't even thought about what I ate or exercise or anything this week.

I see that you both have had some storms; we have too and while it is still very hot here we got a pretty good amount of rain this week.

So, my Director got on a plane at 5:30 p.m tonight and is on vacation for the next two weeks so I'll have time to catch up at work and also catch up on me!

I am going to get refocused starting tonight. I didn't make it to TOPS as I got home to late for the meeting. I really wanted to go to get my "head" back on straight but it just didn't happen. That's ok..you girls help me here!

    Talk to you all later.
  • Morning Ladies – we had another little rain last night for about 10-15 mins but not sure it was enough to do much, but hey I will take it.

Last night I had a scheduled off diet plan night …I really wanted to try those new little pizza’s on the garlic bread from P Hut …so I got them and was disappointed…our P Hut is a horrible one, hardly any cheese ( which I am sure helped calorie wise haha ) and no sausage hardly …I am sure they are very good at a P Hut that actually cares. I also had three breadsticks with cheese…I made cupcakes for dessert and ended up having four of those ( not iced ), which was not very good, should have only had two, but they were smaller and devils food cake, they were awesome…so needless to say today I am gassy and bloated…I wanted a soda last night with dinner but didn’t do it …so at least I am a tiny bit of restraint, lol

Anyway back to clean eating today…tonight we are going over to our good friends house and we are grilling marinated flank steak to slice up for steak tacos, dh made homemade fresh pico de gallo with fresh tomatoes from their garden last night …on corn tortillas with a sligh smear of light sour cream and it is sooooooooooooooooooo good. And not high in calories…can’t wait to have them tonight…

Anybody got big plans for the weekend? I am gonna sleep….well sleep in …this week has exhausted me for some reason…I probably wont weigh in tomorrow due to last nights dinner and dessert …but maybe Sunday ….afraid if I went on tomorrow I would be back over 200 from the sodium and bloat haha

Susie – wow, sounds like an exhausting work week…just relax this weekend and do your refocusing ….we have missed you on here.

Dee – I hear a lot of people have been losing power off and on with the storms…we are lucky because we live in a newer neighborhood and all of our power lines are buried…so it takes A LOT for our power to go out …in all 8 years we have lived there it has only went out once. We are also going to have a really comfortable couple of days before we go back to the 90’s again …today is only going to be a high of 85 !! That is gonna feel awesome…and tomorrow I think 88 or 90…but oh well …this is the summer of dry and heat I guess….sucks…

Mel – Hi !!! Miss ya, well on here anyway, see enough of ya on fb ( just kidding ) – ya know I love ya !!!!

Well I hope you all have a great weekend. Me and dh are gonna do some cleaning and just stick around the house probably…sounds exciting huh?

    Later,
    Carri
  • TGIF!

I am so happy to see Friday. I am alone at work, my Director is gone and my AD is also off today so I have some time to knock some work out and it feels good!

I have updated my ticker for my new goal--no messing around..I'm back on track and don't any of you let me get off it even when life gets crazy for me.

There is always going to be something happening.

So, as I was thinking about that last night, I asked myself what on track means to me; you have to know what you expect in order to measure against it right?

So for me "on track" is:
Staying in my calorie range (I'm only going to know if I did if I daily log my food)

    Logging my food daily

    Getting in 3-4 weekly workouts

    Attending my TOPS meetings weekly

Posting here at least 5-6 times weekly

So, I got my Lose It App back out (on my phone--I had moved it from the front screen), but in my 1st goal weight of a 30 lb loss, looking to lose 2 lbs a week and it told me I would do that by November 7, 2012 if I stay in my range.

So there is my 1st goal/challenge.

Carri: Your dinner tonight sounds wonderful! While you had a off-diet meal yesterday, you still chose to have no soda and I'm very proud of you!

I know that for me, and I think I have seen it for you, that when we allow soda we get off track easily..i think it sets off that crazy sugar craving.

Dee: What is going on with you? We miss you here! Are you still going to be gone when we come to Mackinaw July 29-31?
  • Definitely Susie, soda can really put me in a bad spiral ....
  • Good morning.

It has been so nice here in Ohio the past few days. The days are warm and the nights cool. It will get hotter today but I am so greatful we had a little break from the heat.

Yesterday I started my day with 35 min on the treadmill. I walked 1.82 miles in that time at a average speed of 3.3 mph. I felt so godd when I got off the treadmill knowing that my workout was in for the day.

Today, I will be washing the car and cleaning it out and I also plan on trying a circut training workout that is in my new TOPS magazine. It is only a 10 min circut but I think it will be a good start.

Dee: have you read about that in the new magazine for July? and where are you? We miss you! Hope you are back soon.

Carri: How is your cleaning going?

Last night, early evening, DH and I went to see the the Batman movie. I really enjoyed it. We never pay for the consession food at the movies-to expensive! We will usually take a candy bar or something. I took a small bag of M&M's and a water. We also had dinner at the Olive Garden...very yummy and I have half left over for today.

  • Morning Girls ! I had a planned off program weekend ….they say our bodies gets to used to the same calories everyday so I had my once in a while cheat weekend, lol …it was nice not to count calories and just eat, but I am ready to be back on today…I had less energy that is for sure and I am sure my sugars were bad at times….and I did have some Pepsi. We do all need a day like this once in a while to keep yourself sane…otherwise all the depravation will drive you nuts, haha ….back on today though. Man, am I bloated !!

Hope you all had a great weekend…nothing too exciting for mine, it was actually pretty boring…a lot of being inside since it was so hot…gonna be 97 today, ughhhhhh ….and to think August is usually hotter ……good grief !!!

Susie – good for you getting back on track and being more accountable…I will start putting in my foods I am eating too….great job on getting your exercising in too …you are rockin it again !!! We also had a small reprieve from the horrible heat but just Friday and Saturday, yesterday it was back to baking.

Dee – We miss ya !!!

    Mel – Hi !!

I am so tired today…I did actually get some okay sleep last night but I just think from all the junk I ate over the weekend it has zapped my energy level or something…need some clean eating again !! Now I think I will go another couple of months before my next cheat again…

Have a great Monday all !!!

  • Hey Girls
I haven't been by much because it's been a hot/humid humm-drumm summer. When the heat is soo energy-draining, the summer is a sad bust; fun & food/exercise-activity wise. It's just so much easier to b active & have fun when we're in the 70*-low 80* outdoors

Carri & Susie, both of you have kept motoring your bodies through the torrid weather I'm betting on you both losing 6 pds - +8 pds a month till Thanksgiving dinner girls. Then just make maintaining Your Project/Priority until after New Year's Day. Just think of the gorgeous holiday clothes you can wear this year, in Smaller sizes Merry Christmas!

Well, my garden is going to have less than half the usual harvest from the 100* weeks we've had this summer; even though we water it weekly. Veggies just can't take those hot soil temps day & night. We're eating fresh grape tomatos, tomatos, peppers, red onions, chives, peas, cucumbers daily; but the heat killed some of my root veggies that need a cooler soil temp to grow.

So happy to see Jef & Emily together last night night on the Bachelorette. I was disappointed to see Arie be a such a *ss for not being picked. Bachelore Pad is on tonight, but I'm going to go watch BB after I finish posting, I taped it while watching the Bachelorette. So nice to have something different to watch on tv during these hot evenings.

I've been making lots of cold, fruity soups the last month & yes I hear ya scolding me about the sugar/carbs : But it's so yummy & refreshing while the prices r low @ the fruit stands, soo happy that the fruit is enjoying the hot temps. Plus making/eating grilled veggies & battered onion rings almost every night. So at least I'm not caving into eating homemade ice cream, milk shakes or beer, etc weekly. Instead I'm doing alcohol & non-alcohol granita's & slushies.

We're going camping on Lake Michigan next week to play, fish & drive the sand dunes

ps: me Luv soda-pop, 'Dr.Pepper' & especially from the 'small business-brewers' that make their own root beer & ginger ale. 3-5 pops weekly don't kill people, or-else I am a ghost posting this because I've average 3 sodas weekly since I was about 10 yr as my weekly treats w a banana flip whipped-cream center snack-cake or chocolate cake covered w coconut covered snowballs & creamcheese center snackcake 2x weekly, very yummy.
  • Morning Girls…confession time….my planned cheat meal turned into a non planned cheat week, well 5 days I guess not week …I am feeling pretty shamed but maybe I needed it, lol ….nice excuse huh? Haha …I have had soda, pizza, and sweets, all kinds of sweets …so there, it is out there and I am moving on…of course I didn’t dare weigh myself this weekend, and probably won’t this weekend either…think that will just depress me and probably send me towards maybe another bad meal. I do feel bloated and a bit heavier but really how much could I gain in 5 days? Maybe I shouldn’t answer that, haha …I am sure we are at least talking 2-3lbs ….but oh well, I did it, I owned up to it, and now I move on new and fresh again…

Dee – I didn’t think Arie acted like a butt about it, I thought he was being pretty cool in light of what was happening to him, I know it took him completely off guard…I felt sorry for him because I also thought it was going to be him….but like you said Jef and Emily look SO happy, so I am glad it worked out like it did…now if they actually stay together and get married will be another thing…you know how these normally turn out…I think the only one’s that really stayed together are a few…Trish and Ryan are still so cute together …No, I say enjoy your sugary cold fruity summer soups, haha…hey Summer only comes around once a year and this one is SO hot you need all the cooling off you can get.
I would like to have off another 25lbs off by Thanksgiving…but we will see …I do have a weeks worth of vacation in there before that and also my bday, so that will be some “off” time…oh and the State Fair is coming up next month, and I love to go there one day and just pig out …haha…and I am with you I love a big ol’ cold Dr Pepper ….the best !!!

Susie – Hi, hope you are having a good week !!!! I am also on TOM so another reason ( along with my cheats ) that I didn’t weigh in…that might be part of my not staying OP problem…I tend to be a lot hungrier when I am on that …

Mel – Hi ya Girlie !!!

Well girls hope you all have a great day …wish me luck on actually staying OP today….I CAN DO THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Carri
  • I can't believe it is already Thursday! The week has gone by so fast and I haven't gotten to post as much as I wanted. But I do think about all of you here every day.

Like last night when I so wanted to skip my workout. I thought about how I told you all of my committment to exercise...and so I went.

I have logged my food every day and have stayed in my range. On Tuesday night we had tacos for dinner and I was at the top of my calorie range but still with-in it.

I'll get back to posting my food again. Just haven't had much self computer time!

Dee: I would love one of those fruity soup recepies. Can you share one?
I have to be careful with fruit as a lot of it is very acidic and bothers my IC but I have found when it has been cooked most of the acid is cooked out of it.

I hear you on how the hot weather has made it hard to be outside this summer. I love summer but would rather have it in the high 70's and low
    80's!

I too thought it was nice that Jef and Emily were together. I feel if they just stay out of the limelight as much as possible as Tristin and Ryan did, then they can make it.

I feel that she cared very deeply for Arie but I'm wondering if him being a race car driver was just to close and familiar with what she had with Ricki's dad who died.

I'm DVR'ing Batchelor Pad. I told myself I wouldn't watch it this year but it's like a train wreck..you just have to see what is going on!

Carri: About the cheat week...it can happen...you have owned up to it and are back on track.

Our TOPS meeting tonight is a no-weighin meeting as we are enjoying our summer "picnic" night tonight. We thought because it was so hot we would go to a resturant. We have a local Italian place who serves local wines and we choose that as our place to go.

In TOPS you are allowed two food get-together meetings a year and we do it in the summer and at Christmas time.

I hope to be able to post on Saturday before we leave on Sunday for our trip to Mackinaw.

Dee, Enjoy your vacation on Lake Michigan. I wish you were going to be home so we might have had the opportunity for a live "meet".

Carri: You be strong for us next week.

Mel, Arabella, Liz: If you are lurking, please try to pop in and keep Carri company!
