I got mine off of Craigs list,I called and talked to the guy who was selling and told him I had to drive over 100 miles to look at it, what I did was asked what he would take for the bike, to see if he would come down on the price. Then I told him I wanted to look at it and take it for a ride, and had him hold it for me and he did. I did e mail to a add, and a gal e mailed me back who was selling a bike, she was not willing to dicker on price until I told her that I lived so far away. She did talk to her husband and they would come down on there price, and would hold it for a day so I could go look at it. I passed that bike up after talking to the owner on the phone. I did sell a cool lifted Jeep last spring on Craigs list and what I found out is that nobody wants to call and talk, they want to do it all on line. Good luck you will find just the right bike.

Decorate! YES! I love to decorate and design! Send me everything you can! Size of room, windows, best spot for the TV and what color scheme you want to go with. If you don't know send me colors of the carpet, or ajoining rooms. Do you have anything that you like, that you want to decorate around? I used to sell Home Interiors for years. Mostly to feed my own spending/decorationg habits. Are you wanting to keep the items you have, add more, or get rid of stuff? Please let me help--I love a challenge! email, Facebook or 3FC posts are all fine with me. Do you have pictures?

[email protected] Let me know what you would like! I would love to help!

I married into the name 11 years ago. Was a Stanek, and before that my maiden name was Muehe. There isn't any of my husbands relatives that I know very well, but they were from Indiana. The brothers and sisters all were in a family feud, and there is a bunch of nonsense of some not talking to others...a big mess that they will no doubt all regret later in life.

I was a military brat. By the time I was 18 I had lived in more houses than what I had lived YEARS! I went to 3 different high schools. It was an interesting way of life.

Aaron, thanks everyone says that I just need to be patient because the time is coming soon that many will be putting their bikes up for sale.

Colleen - ' a color scheme' OMG I never imagined such a thing I might have come up with too grand an idea...considering the financial constraints we now have... I'm sorry if I didn't think first and got you excited about something that I probably can't follow through on

has Reda left yet for Cancun? Safe travels to you honey, and OH BOY HAVE A GREAT TIME

We have been told super cold weather is coming this weekend! Like 20 below, not with wind chill but regular air temperature.

Another Packer football win, takes us to the Superbowl! I'm not a huge fan of football, but do like the hype it brings!

Snowing again! I'm ready for Spring any time now! Sooner is better than later!

I have a box of stuff to be donated to the March of Dimes rummage sale in our area. I've been slowly adding stuff. If I hit the clothes closets, I could fill several boxes! Yesterday I through out more than what was saved, going through stuff in the desk. I searched the whole house looking for a needle so I could sew a button on for DH!! It was like looking for a needle in a 3 bedroom ranch instead of a haystack. I NEVER found one either! I need to get a little more organized! I don't have lots of stuff--it's just that the stuff I have isn't in good order! I'll work on that.

Grandma is back in the hospital with CHF--not looking too good. DH's stepmom fell and broke her back in 3 places--not good. DH's dad has Alzeheimers, and is up staying with kids for now. I see a surgeon about my hand/arm problem tomorrow. DH went back to the doc after his accident with head aches and trouble...Is there anyone healthy out there?

We went to Dubuque to get our eyes tested this weekend. Dh and I can't go anywhere without getting into mischeif! We went to the Harley dealership. Always fun! No big purchases thank goodness! Glasses were expensive enough!

I'm reading that my post is rather negative. It must just be Monday, as everything really isn't that horrible. What's good with you all?

Hello everyone! Sorry I dont post too much now. I usualy dont post when I am on the IPad & am not on DHs computer too much any more. I dont want to use the work computer incase they actualy monitor it like they say they do.

Colleen one of these times when you come to DBQ we will need to meet up someplace.

Holly- I bought my bike off CL too. I looked all winter & I think in April is when I found my bike. A lady was selling it cuz it had been sitting in her garage for 3 yrs & figured it was time to get rid of it. She dropped it 1 time in her yard & that was enough for her. It had less then 3000 miles on it & my friend was able to get it started after sitting for 3 yrs. He drove it home (30 some miles) after he got it started. I have been very lucky with it cuz I have not had to do anything to it (only changed oil) I bought it for 1000 less then blue book. I am itching to get it out. I have awhile yet before I can ride it again.

Hopefully come next week I can actuely start training/working on my job instead of the training that I have been doing for the last 2 weeks. I was excited this weekend cuz I got my 1st paycheck & for 1 week it was as much as I made for a month of daycare. Hopefuly I can get bills paid up/off instead of blowing it on other stuff.

I have been trying to becarful at what I eat since starting work but it is hard. I do OK at work. Today was the 1st day I bought my lunch but normanly I have been taking my lunch. What really gets me is when we get home neither one of us feel like cooking so we make whatever is easy or we go out, both of which have been bad for us.

This last weekend we had a party at our house for the football game. Go Packers!! We usualy have a party for the superbowl no matter who is in it but this yr will be a much bigger deal. So that means even more bad for me food.

Miseralble night last night! It all started when I started cleaning the refrigerator and found a lonely wine cooler! I took some new meds that the doc gave me that could have been a contributing factor, but once I tell you what I ate, you'll probably think the drugs had nothing to do with anything! I made some tuna casserole. I added some cheese that needed to be used--okay a LOTof cheese. That was yummy! Just 1/2 a serving (well, 1/2 again of what I ate, which was way more than a serving!) left in the pan--better just finish that up! I ran accross some good caramel that I had on ice cream the other day--that was great. Had some ice cream with caramel and nuts too! Gastric reflux set in about 2 minutes after I went to bed! Oh my! What a miseralbe night! Tuna would not have been my choice to have for tasting the second time! It really wasn't any better through the night after MANY Tums. Then I had MINT-TUNA with strawberry wine, and ice cream flavors! Take my advice. DON'T do that! The refrigerator looks better.

Doc says to take the steroids he perscribed. They can do an MRI and a shot in the spine. NOT my idea of a good time doing that either! So after that, I went back to the chiropractor. I have just as much faith in him, and really want to avoid shots to the spine or possible surgeries.

Tymaboy, I'll be heading your way again sometime in the next couple weeks to get glasses I ordered. Hope the job is going good for you. the extra pay has got to be a plus!

Chat with you all more later. Gotta go.

Hey everyone Tymaboy, that is great about your first paycheck

Colleen, ugh to Tum/Tuna/burps!

DH worked on Sunday, to plan to take today off, with me. He had suggested that we go to area (well they are all an hour away) bike shops to test-sit bikes. This morning, I started thinking, why do I want to sit on a bunch of brand new bikes, that I have no intention of buying? I've never ever been one to want to 'window shop', I don't get pleasure from looking at things I can't buy. I know they have used bikes for sale, I checked their current inventory that was online, but didn't see anythign that I liked. So...I spent the day in bed instead Bad day.

Hi everyone- we made it home today
Had a great time got pictures downloaded to facebook- but started laundry so haven't done much of anything else

Holly was it a bicycle row you were asking about? I would guess that it is like a rowing machine on the floor but not 100% sure- glad to hear DH is somewhat taking an interest in you looking at motorcycles but sorry to hear about the lost one on CL- so what type of bike are you looking at? I am taking the chopper to our local consignment shop on Saturday to be sold when we stopped there 2 weeks ago he said to bring it up right away but we were getting ready to leave and didn't have time so this weekend it will
go and hopefully it will sell quickly

Tymaboy congrats on first paycheck

Colleen sorry to hear about grandma, DH stepmom and Dad hope things get back to a somewhat normal for you

Great Job on staying OP even if for only a day or two

Ok I am being hollared at so better get going I will check back in later
