Ever have one of those days where you ask yourself, "Why did I even get out of bed?" I'm having one of those days. Its been non-stop. First Cat Puked all over the Rug I just put down lastnight, then DH calls to tell me he failed his test again, the last and final time and so now he probably will be losing his job, then if that wasn't enough, the flipping Kitchen Sink starts backing up!!!!!!! I just wanna sit down on the floor and cry! Honestly I do.

And all this right before Christmas. I mean I know we've been through all this stuff before, but I am just so done with it. I just wanna run far far away and never come back.

Well sorry this is a downer post, but I had to get it out.

Hope your all's day is going better! Well better go and revise DH and my resume and start applying to even more jobs!

Hello, it's MONDAY!

SASSY...I know the feeling very well. Sorry your hubby didn't pass his test though...he can't do it again, or maybe talk to someone? And yes, I have had days such as that...where you just want to go back to bed and start over. Just keep your head up and stay postive, everything works out in the end

MINDEE...I see your pictures of that band and was wondering if you guys knew them or really liked them! Glad you guys had a nice weekend and hope Brandon enjoyed his Christmas party!

HI to everyone else

I have been so lazy today! Went to get some books for the grandkids, well, I went with daughter to get them and help pick out something. We always get them books because I think it's important for kids to read! Anyway, grabbed some lunch and home we went...nothing exciting. Then me and baby slept most of the day, lol. I am glad for her naps but I really shouldn't be staying up so late.

WI was bad, well, sort of. I was up to 193.4 last Monday, but then weighed Tuesday & Wed and was at 191 and didn't worry about it and today I am at 193.8 sonot sure if I gained or not. I keep staying up late and drinking diet coke up until the time I go to bed...not good I know. Plus this stupid snacking on candy...will be glad when it's gone...no more after that! Of course I could throw it away, nah. Not much of it left...but then there are desserts for Christmas Eve. Thinking from now on when we do family dinners I will start making desserts that I DON'T like! Anyway, not waiting on the New Year to start going to get right on it after Christmas Eve. I am sending all leftovers home with the kids! Let them gain the weight!

Monday, Monday....can't trust that day. I know how you feel Sassy. I just wanted to go back to bed...and still do. Soon now I can.

I got all the laundry done and beds changed. Then it was off to the grocery store. DH told me I better get everything I need for the whole week because we might be snowed in later this week. Ugh. So...that is what I did. I also did the last little bit of mom's shopping for her. Daughter was off in another direction doing mom's shopping for me and DH. I came home and got what I bought wrapped and under the tree.
Had veggie soup in the crock pot, so dinner was pretty simple.
Once again I did not WI. I have gained and lost the same 5 pounds all year......I have to break this cycle, but not sure how. As soon as I get through the next two weeks with the Holidays and mom's surgery I can figure this out. I have an extra incentive..a friend gave me some really cool/expensive jeans and they are just a tad snug. I HAVE to lose so I can wear them (2 pair) She also gave me several tops..which all but 2 fit and the 2 are just a bit snug on the tummy. Soooo, I have to lose since these things are very cool. Used, but barely worn at all.

Gotta take mom to the hospital for lab work tomorrow. Then I think I will get the housework/ironing done. Won't need to cook/bake the rest of our goodies until Thurs. so I can (maybe) be lazy Wed.

Sue-with me it's the same 10, unfortunately right now they are back..
Cristina-candy and cookies are running rampant at the office and then I am dumb enough to buy stuff for home...geesh..then I wonder why I am not losing...
Mindee--sounds like you had fun!
Sassy--hugs...I have many of those days myself

just not into Christmas at all this year...buying a few more things and then I am done...came home tonight and our dog has a huge lump where they removed her tumor...

just trying to get caught up on some emails and doing some recipe hunting......still doing some house hunting.....in fact it has picked up some and there seems to be new options coming onto the market all the time.

Brandon had a lot of fun at his Christmas party today! They had a book exchange, so he took in a couple of books since we wouldn't be able to attend it. He had a good day at school, now that his regular teacher is back. She contacted the social worker and got a behavioral check list for ADD or ADHD, and so she sent it home with us to show it to their pediatrician. I am in contact with the social worker at Logan's school, to get the same check list for his teacher to fill out.

Sassy~ I hope things got better for you guys since you posted!

Cristina~ We actually really like their music, and we are friends with them....so it is a double bonus! Tommy got me one of their zip up hoodies to wear, and he told me that I can only wear it when we go out since I have my blue one that he has dubbed my housecoat. I need to light a fire under my butt again! now that we have the new cables for the Wii.....I have to start working out again with my Your Shape!

Sue~ we did a little bit of shopping on Saturday....and now I get to see how I can put things together to make some meals! Not to mention what to make the kids for their lunches and that while they are on break!

Jules~ It is good to hear from you!!!! Sorry to hear about your dog, I hope it isn't anything serious!

Awoke to more snow....I think we got about 4 more inches. And I have to go out in it later to take mom in for her lab work. Looks like the traffic is moving alright out on the main road though. Indiana is pretty much used to cleaning off the roads and unless we get a blizzard they are on top of things. (now watch it be horrible out there today since I gave them kudos)

I did not fall asleep until 7 a.m. and then awake at 8:30...gonna be a long day. I just don't feel "right." Don't feel sick actually, just off. Ah well, too much to do for me to get down today.

DH is shoveling the driveway, I emptied the dishwasher and made coffee. Mom is slowly getting ready to go...she will be ready an hour early, Bless her heart.

Have you ever had a battery explode in anything? Last night I was getting off the computer and my mouse made a funny pop sound. I looked it over and that was it. This morning it was dripping with liquid and one of the batteries was bulging. Ick..and those were just put in last week...sigh.

Have a good day ladies and stay safe wherever you may be.

Just dropping by to say HI

Nothing going on...had planned to take baby to the park but wouldn't ya know the temps dropped and it's windy. Don't need or want a sick baby! So I guess it's a day of Mickey Mouse Club and some reading...visiting with son who is coming over in about a hour.

Have a good one...

Hi everyone

Just thought I would stop in and say a quick hello before I get ready for work.

Cristina glad your dinner went smoothly and you were able to get everything done with little sweetheart there. I just can't believe how fast she has grown, but what a cutie. Glad you had fun at Barney

Sue, I hear you about the snow. It has been snowing here for the past week. We are having difficulties getting around. You are sure having a busy couple weeks. Hope that it is speedy at the lab for you, and you and your mom are in and out. I hope that you can have a good nap today so that you feel better.

Mindee, glad Brandon had fun at his Christmas party. That is exciting that you are house hunting. When are you hoping to move?

Jules, We have so much stuff at work, and I really try to resist, but I am doing the stress eating, as we have some very stressfull residents that know exactly what to do to stress me out. Will you be having a quiet Christmas with the kids? Will you be off to the vet with the dog? I hope it is nothing to worry about.

Sassy So sorry to hear about DH. What kind of test was it that he had to take? Can he talk to HR and make some other arrangements? I hope that today is better for you.

Well I applied for a new line at work today. It is for Nights and Day shift instead of the Day and Afternoon shift that I have now. With Afternoons, I really don't get to see the family for 2 weeks straight, so I hope that I get the new one. Took Cole to see his first concert, so now he has a big crush on Carrie Underwood. too funny. Anyhow, I had better get off the computer and get ready to go to work. Fun Fun...

Hey all.

thanks for all your encouraging words. No DH cannot take this test again. Its for his certification for a specific software that his current co. is using and they only allow him to take it 3 times, this was his 3rd time. Its the co.'s policy and not the policy of the software, so he can retake it, if he finds another co. to sponsor him. But he cannot stay in his current position at his current job because they have to be certified to do that job. Also his current boss is a *****. So she is currently out of town for the holidays, but I am sure once she returns she will fire my dh. He was on the computer and the phone all day yesterday trying to find another job. He had an interview today at a IT Staffing place, he said it went well. He had several phone calls yesterday and several phone interviews, so I'm hoping something pans out and I'm hoping we don't have to move out of town as one was for a job in Texas and one was for a job in Chicago. But I guess if we have to move, then we have too.

He did go to HR about his boss and how badly she has treated him, so they are looking into that and they are trying to see if he can be transferred to a different dept within the company. But he is still looking into other jobs because there is no guarantee and he currently the only income right now.

Well I need to get off here, just wanted to update you all.

Big

just thought I would pop in to see how everyone is doing......

Tommy is making cookies to take into his work for his workers.....the kids are trying to take the cookies as soon as they are coming out of the oven!

Kathy~ we are going to start looking in the spring time and get the ball rolling on every thing then.....but our lease isn't up until the end of June....so we have to stay here until then. which is fine because the boys get out in the middle of June, so it is okay.

To answer the questions about my dog...she has stage 2 cancer, the first tumors were removed a year and a half, then about six months another was removed (still stage 2) and then it came back about a month ago and now she has a major grapefruit size lump, we take her to the vet in the morning.

Mindee--I have been known to steal cooikues when they come out of the oven...that's when they are the yummiest...

Sassy--fingers crossed hubby can get transferred or gets a job quick

Sue--send the snow my way, well maybe not we are suppossed to get some Christmas day

Cristina--hubby and I are started to know the kids cartoon songs...

today would have been Mom's bday...really missing her...

UGH!!!!!!

Sometimes I wonder about some people! Tommy was making dinner and got a call from his mom. She said that his uncle, who hosts Christmas Eve every year, I guess had called her and was asking about Brandon and his Croup. He basically told me MIL to tell us that since everybody in their house is on medicines for us to basically stay away and stay at home. Tommy told me that while on the phone with his mom and I said some choice words.

We ended up getting into an argument because I had made my thoughts known on MY facebook page.....he went into a tizzy about me starting a HUGE fight between his whole family. I said "fine....next time I will consult YOU before I post my status updates from now on."

a few other things were said and then we let the silence set in.....then all of a sudden he walks up to me, puts his arms around me and said "I planned on us staying home, ordering some pizza and watching some Christmas movies with the kids."

so that is why my status is what it is right now.......

Mindee--the cough with the creeping crud or croup lasts long after you are actually contagious....sorry his family were so worried they didn't want you included when it's something they may end up getting anyway..everyone I talk to seems to have it or a family member does..

Just wanted to come and wish everybody a Very Merry Christmas, even though I know a lot of us are having hard times or struggling. Big Big to you all.
I prayed all lastnight and today that DH would not be let go today that at least maybe we could get a few more weeks and it looks like we are. He has a meeting with HR on Jan. 4th. So that buys us some time! I hope and pray now he can get another job and I can hopefully get on somewhere.

Mindee-- I'm so sorry to hear about Tommys family. Big Girl.

Sue -- Big Big to your Mom and you right now! Big Big

Jules -- Big to you and your Dog. My In-laws dog had Cancer as well and had to go through surgeries and treatments and medicine. He did pass away years later from Kidney Failure. Big Big

Big Big to everybody who needs them!!
