Just checking in...had Lily today so no computer time until now.

Did get my walk in this morning, 40 minutes and then a 30 minute dvd...feel so tired, more sleepy than tired actually. Think it's the weather though, so dreary.

SASSY...feel better soon! So how far are you guys from PA? I know nothing about the place but sounds nice from what I've heard.

JULES...how's Cinnamin doing?

SUE...pot roast sounds good, maybe that will be Saturday's dinner, hmmm.

Was going to have the kids over New Years Day for dinner but J & C can't make it...they are headed to the parents of her sisters' boyfriend. Didn't think anyone met the in-laws unless engaged but whatever. So they are coming Sunday and oldest son and his SO are coming Saturday, lol...should have just canceled both and took it easy, lol. Crockpot roast though IS easy! Anyway...that's about all I have...hope everyone had a nice day!

doing my daily pop in!! I had issues with Marissa and her thinking that she didn't have to sleep, or let mommy sleep, while daddy is at work! She had me up until 3:45 this morning! Thankfully she is asleep now, and so are the boys!

So, I get to catch up on my internet time that she has cut short the past couple of days!

As for New Year's Eve.......well, I will be baking cookies ALL day! My sister Megan bought two kinds of cookies from Logan when he was selling them for school, and when we met up at our sister Katy's house......we settled on me making the cookies and bringing them to Katy's house for NYE. So, I will be baking like a champ on Friday! Thankfully Tommy is off Friday and then the weekend! Friday is also my sister Beth's birthday....so we will be seeing her at Katy's too.

Other than that, nothing really going on!

Default Hello All

Hello All.

Yesterday DH took me out to eat at a nice restaurant and we ventured out to the local International Supermarket here. Wow. It was packed! lol. But we survived! ha.

He wants to go to the Aquarium after work today but I pointed out that it prob will be packed too as all the kids are out on break and a lot of folks are off for the holidays. I dunno. Whatever he wants to do.

Cristina -- we are 9 hrs away from Lancaster, PA. If he got that job, he'd be there Sunday night to Thursday. Then fly home for the weekend. All expenses paid of course. But he has other job offers, just neither one of us knows anything about Lancaster, so that is why I asked. Thanks we do feel better, whatever that bug was awful! I haven't been that sick in a long time.

Mindee -- Happy Baking. hope you get some sleep!

Sue -- Def will keep your mom in our thoughts and prayers!

Mom is doing well after her surgery. Now the healing and becoming mobile begins. I am sure she will do well. She already has NO pain in her hip and groin area where the most problem was located.
Hope it lasts.
I just rode home with DH to get my car and go back to the hospital.

Thanks for your well wishes and prayers.

Hello and Happy Thursday

SUE...glad all went well with your moms surgery. Praying she is pain free

SASSY...that's not bad, wasn't sure how far you guys were from PA and was too lazy to look at a map myself, lol. Glad you and the hubby had a great time!

MINDEE...have fun baking cookies! I ate so much junk (sweets) during Christmas I think I am burned out, yeah, never thought I would turn down a cookie or dessert!

HELLO to everyone else

Had Lily today and am so happy I get a 3 day weekend! I only had her the last 2 days and she has been horrible! Man, the fits and whining are too much. She also was sleep deprived, Charlotte said she didn't sleep much the three days they were gone...a baby can only take so much. Anyway, it's just hard when they basically didn't keep her on any sort of schedule and then send her straight to me like that but then Charlotte only thinks about Charlotte so...not a surprise.

I missed my walk because this morning while trying to put Lily in the car right off she threw a fit...she was fighting me with trying to get her in the carseat...she was not having it. So I headed home instead of to the mall to walk, didn't want to bother with her fit. Because if she was like that trying to get her in the car she would have been worse trying to get her put in the stroller. She slept almost 3 hours, had breakfast and was ready to play but like a hour later she was getting sleepy again, but fighting it. I did manage to get to Walmart and buy groceries and that is about it.

Going to do DVD's tomorrow, I desperately need to mix up the exercise. Will catch up on the house cleaning and such with a side trip to Target and Hobby Lobby. Need tubs for Christmas decorations and Christmas paper and stickers for the scrapbooking I plan to do this weekend. Going to start with the packing soon too, trying to go thru things and not take crap I don't want or need this time. Anyway...yak, yak, yak, lol

Oh, had to turn the air conditioner on today because it got up to 65 but the thermostat in the house said 77 and it is warm! UGH but then supposed to turn cold with freezing rain thru the night...weird weather for sure!

Have a good one!

Cristina--I say Teri should be thankful Dom's a sleeper like her...he sleeps 8-10 hours at night and then take an hour or two nap every afternoon. He's going though the terrible twos even though he will be 3 next Tuesday!! He doesn't share well with Ashton at all. Ry and Tonya complain cause Ashton gets up by 7 every morning if not earlier but he goes to bed by 8 each nigh...what are they wanting...gosh my kids are whiny...give me the grandboys any day!! We have been giving her her meds plus hubby is trying golden seal...seems to be working...she's doing better...glad now I didn't listen and have her put down.

Sue--so glad the surgery went well...hoping for a speedy recovery!! Make sure you take care of yourself too!!

Sassy--Lancaster is pretty cool. Lots of Amish people. From my area that is a major bus trip shopping day trip. We had a compnay Christmas party there quite some time ago...had a great time at a place called Mt Hope Winery that's close by. Still want to go back there around Halloween, they used to do a big Edgar Allen Poe themed program. http://www.parenfaire.com/index.html

Mindee--hey there!!

major moving at work...we have a space half as big as we did...the cubicle are claustraphobic!! hate it!! I am so tired...will be glad to get back to actual work and not this moving crap!!

Default haallo

Hallo

Just finished dinner and DH has a friend over so I came upstairs to play on the net. The realitor called and we have two showings tomorrow. Yippee. I hope they sell the place so we can have a new landlord who cares. This dude just wants to sell the place off. Anywho so we'll have to do a quick clean up but I'm not going all out. They are just gonna have to deal with it. We just moved in a month ago. (In case you don't know or forgot - when we looked at this place it was up for sale and still is. The landlord explained that most people who buy these condos want people living here, for income, and the new owners have to honor our lease.)

On a good note, they took my MIL off her Pick line so no more daily trips to the hospital for her Antibiotic IV. They gave her oral medication, but she has to be on it for 2-3 yrs.

Sue -- Glad all is well with your mom! Will keep her in my prayers!

Cristina -- Yeah its not that far away, but still far enough. But if its a paying job, its better than nothing if DH loses his job. Sorry Lily was cranky. I hope she gets back on a regular sleep cycle. That is what my friend used to do to her poor kids. Had them up at all hours of the night, never had them on a regular sleep cycle. I would put them to sleep at 9 if I was watching them. Sometimes they would throw a little bit of a fit, but usually would fall asleep. I can't see not keeping little ones on a regular sleep cycle if you can help it. I need to get in gear with the WL and the unpacking. I kinda put everything on hold when we got so sick and this week I just decided to just rest after being sick. I need to get on the ball though!

Jules -- Thats how my new baby cousin is. They say he is a sleeper. So that is good. Wonder if its a boy thing? I dunno. Lancaster sounds nice. Well that would be good then if we decide to move there. Right now he has other job offers on the table, but its nice to know that Lancaster is a nice place. Oh they used to move us all the time at my old work place if you remember. I hated it! You'd just get used to being in one place and they move ya. We had a nice place that was off the elevators and kinda off to itself and it worked so well for us, but nope of course they had to move us from there! Sorry its claustrophobic! I hated that.

Oh yes and Francie -- I finally seen the new HP movie today!!! Even though I knew what was gonna happen, I still cried!!

doing my daily pop in!

I figured out why Marissa wasn't wanting to sleep the past couple of nights.....she has a little bit of a cold!

I am all amped up for my day of baking on Friday!!!! I have been wanting to bake since the beginning of this week.....can you tell I like the bake?

My MIL went yesterday and got her pick or port line in. She starts her first chemo next Thursday.

Sassy~ Good luck with the job offerings!!!

Sue~ I am glad to hear that your mom is doing well. I will continue to say some prayers and keep you all in my thoughts.

Cristina~ I too, ate too many sweets over the holidays.....and so I am going to switch it out and stick to a more strict thing about not having any in the house....and only keeping healthier options in the house. That is why we keep the kids to their schedule that they are used to now. Bedtime is 7pm on school nights, and sometimes the same on Saturday nights if we have been running around all day. We have yet to have them fight us on it, and if they stay up past their bedtimes, they get overtired and their attitudes really peak.

Speaking of attitudes......Logan has his yearly well child exam on the 12th of January since we missed his birthday in October. We are going to discuss the possibility of ADD or ADHD with the kids. The boys we really see it in, and Marissa has her share of the symptoms as well. We got a checklist from Brandon's teacher about his behavior there at school, and boy was it a shock to see what he does and how he behaves there! I have an email into the social worker at Logan's school about getting his teacher to fill out a checklist for him.

Jules~ It is good to hear from you! Hope the move finishes up soon and you can get back to work!

Happy New Year's Eve!

Talking about sleep, I think I was sleep deprived. I got up about 30 minutes ago and now trying to wake my lazy arse up so I can exercise first thing! I can't believe I slept that long, jeez! My body can't take laying in bed 11 hours, yikes!

MINDEE...I am doing that also. Well, there will be dessert for both dinners but that's about it. I bought groceries yesterday and didn't get any sweets or junkfood. I am sure I am having sugar withdrawals too! But I sure feel the couple of pounds I gained thru the holidays, always gain around the middle, ick. Happy baking today!

JULES...glad your doggy is doing better. Hope you get all moved soon at work! What a pain and for a smaller cubicle! Wait, Ry and Tonya are complaing Ashton sleeps till 7?! Isn't that good, especially if he goes to bed at 8? I think some people don't realize how having a baby changes everything! Shoot...I thought my baby days were over and her I am watching Lily 9-12 hours a day sometimes (average is 9 1/2) and it amazes me all the stuff you have to carry around, lol...I forgot about all that stuff. Daughter is always saying "How did you do it with 3?" I told her I was young, lol! Wait when she has the second! She will be sleep deprived. How far along is she and do they know what she is having yet, or is it too early?

SASSY...okay, glad you explained that because I was confused! I thought you were going to move again! And yeah, I didn't see that you mentioned that so that clears that up for me, lol...a little slow here sometimes. I wouldn't mind moving somewhere else for the hubby's job but not right now...he would have to move and come home on the weekends because I am not ready to move far from the grandkids! Shoot I don't even want to move from this house much less move from the state. But he may have to look elsewhere for work because there is nothing here and with all the layoffs from all the aircraft company's, ugh! Hard time trying to find something.

Okay, so I decided to go to Target and Hobby Lobby last night. they kept talking about icy rain starting last night into this morning and I didn't want to get out in it if it did-it didn't, lol. Anyway...have enough paper and stuff to do the scrap book pages, some tubs to take the tree down and plan to do some laundry and exercise...that is my New Year's Eve...fun eh? Anyway...the scrapbook pages, what I am doing is the Christmas pictures we had last year I am putting them there. And then next years picture will go in the frames I have this years and then this years will go into the scrapbook...I have too many pictures! Next year won't be a traditional Christmas picture. We decided we are going to find a cool place outdoors and have them come to us to forgo the Christmas crowds at the portrait studio...it was ridiculously crazy this year!

Have a good day all!

Happy New Year, everyone! HOpe all is well where you are. I hope to check in more here in the new year...the job has eaten my brain, so I need to get better at juggling it with the rest of my life

I found a free app and website called Lose it. It's a food and exercise tracker. The fun part is that you can add friends. If any of you are interested in it let me know and we can arrange to swap info. I mean, really, don't you all want to see what I eat everyday? lol! It also lets you post on Facebook, but I haven't decided if I am ready for that, lol!

HNY...love to all - I was just telling my running buddy about my online group and I realized we have all hung together through alot over these last seven years (for me at any rate). I appreciate and enjoy each and every one of you and wish you the best in 2011.
