Hey ladies,
Logan is doing a little better today! He didn't eat yesterday but today I gave him some dry cereal & Gatorade. So far so good (fingers crossed). Now I am nervous that I will get it next lol
This TOM is really kicking my behind, I guess it knows it wont be around for another 3 months so it should make it good haha I don't think I have ever been this bloated...not only do I feel it but I can SEE IT. I look almost pregnant! I will weigh tomorrow just bc I always do but don't know how seriously I will take what it says.
Happy Friday everyone!

Morning Girls...not much going on here just TGIF !!!!!!!!! Need to clean up the house some this weekend but other than that I am going to relax...me and dh might go to the Andy Warhol art exhibit at the art museum here but other than that I dont have alot of plans...

Mel - sorry to hear your little one is sick...glad to hear he is doing a little better...hope you dont get it but on the bright side if you did you would probably get under 200 .....haha ...bad joke...

Auntie G - I know, BL is making me angry too ...very...I dont even have a favorite person this year that I am rooting for...great job on staying OP all weekend...I guess the points system is what you needed.

Arabella - yeah I am gonna try the neti pot ...need some relieft besides ibuprofen

Liz - Hi

And yes as you all said frozen veggies are a must for me...I absolutely love those steam bag ones that you just throw the whole bag in there for a few minutes...so convenient for me in the evening, after I have been at work all day the last thing I wanna do is come home and spend an hour cooking.

Hope you all have a GREAT weekend !!!!

Carri

Thumbs up Saturday

too, and the first day of my vacation. Things are looking up! I'm still fairly wrecked from overwork and concert and not sleeping enough last week. But should have things sorted out by the end of day and feel like myself again by tomorrow.

I've got new running shoes -- same brand as the sneakers I posted about (which I've got to pick up at the PO today). They're supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. So far -- they feel good. I'll report back on how they were for

So, making my plans today for what I want to do this week. I have to remember that it IS only a week -- I'm not going to be able to do everything in the world.

Mel, sending healthy thoughts your way. Glad Logan's on the mend -- now just make sure YOU don't come down with it. Despite Carri's "bright side" comment.

Carri, we're looking at similar weekends. A little house-cleaning, a little relaxing and an art show/sale are on the agenda here. I've promised DH to do some raking today and I have dreams of getting some work done on the flower beds tomorrow... we'll see.

Liz, Auntie g

Let's make this a good one!

Hey ladies!

Mel - Glad to hear Logan's feeling better! Bloat sucks, at least you know it will be gone soon!

Carri - Have a nice relaxing w/e (except the cleaning!!)!

Arabella - What kind of shoes were they again? I am on the hunt for new runners.

As for my w/e, I want to do some cleaning but am trying to get some motivation to do it. I've been so busy with a project for christmas - we "adopt" families at my church to give them a nice christmas, and I'm getting everything organized, I always forget how much work it is - and of course the kids don't let me get anything done most of the time. We're off to a christmas bazaar today (yet another one) - all of the baking at these things is so tempting, I just can't buy any of it...unless I were to stick it directly in the freezer. That might be a better idea actually than doing my own baking - something I've avoided because it was a huge downfall for me in the past. Anyhow hope everybody has a great day!

Happy Saturday! 3 lbs down today- I'll take it! Oddly, I'm not even having those thoughts about using my flex points/going a little crazy for the weekend. I'm sure that won't last long, so I better take advantage of it while it lasts, and behave today. After all, the holidays are just around the corner...

Arabella, I'm at 28 points, too, and I remember it being pretty tough as they went down the last time around, but this week I haven't gone over 22 each day. I think what's really helping keep them down this week is that I've been having a packet of 2 point oatmeal for lunch. It holds me over just fine, so I'm going to go with that until I get sick of it! I hope those new shoes inspire you!

Mel, hope everyone's feeling better by now, and that your WI was OK!

Carri, blecch, I'm hoping to get some cleaning done today, too. Such a waste of a perfectly good weekend! Yet there never seems time to get things done during the week. Did you dig out your WW stuff yet??? Hope you're on track!

Liz, you might be onto something there with the buying of baked goods... At least that limits the quantities! I always feel like I have to bake cookies to have available when people come over, but maybe a nice little package in the freezer would be good enough! I like it!

Time to get busy. Have a great weekend, all!

Liz, it was these ones:

Skechers Shape Ups Resistance Runners. I wore them for my run this morning and my feet were very happy with them. They feel a little funny but I'm kind-of used to it from the sandals and will get used to them in no time. I've got the funky high-heeled sneakers ones waiting for me to pick up.

They're especially good for people with foot/joint issues. Amazon had the best price I could find, around $110 including shipping and duty compared to $140 and up without shipping and duty online. And I couldn't find any locally. I think they're going to work really well for me.

Auntie g, oatmeal for lunch, eh? That's all you have? I'd be hungry, for sure. But may have to get my head around the idea of being hungry occasionally. Congrats on the nice loss! Is that 8 already so far?

K, I'm going again. Gorgeous, gorgeous day here. We'll be out there and raking leaves after we do the shopping. More calories burned, huzzah.

Have a good one!

Arabella- Those shoes look cool, let us know how both pairs work out!

Carri- So far so good on not catching what Logan had!

Liz-Good luck with everything that you have to do for the family you are adopting!

Auntie- Congrats on the 3 lb loss!!!

I woke up this morning and the bloat was down alot (thank goodness). I am still in the full swing of TOM, luckily it will be over soon! I weighed in at 200.4, a -1.8 lb lose since last Sat! I was sooooo surprised...I guess losing the bloat overnight helped! I am worried I will gain some weight back next week bc I normally gain after my TOM which is weird but I will take it for now!

I hope all you lovely ladies have a GREAT weekend!

Arabella - Thanks! I looked online and there's a store listed nearby me that has some apparently. I think I'll check them out!

Mel - WOO HOO you will be in onederland in no time!!!! That's awesome!

Well ladies I bought a pair of size ten jeans a while back as goal pants - I tried them on and they fit! Once again a little tight right now but hey with the cold weather being here I'm wearing a sweater on top anyways, so I can hide a little bit of muffin top!!

Another sunny and unseasonable warm day today. I'm going to put up my Christmas lights, for once, before I have to do it in the freezing cold and wind. Pork chops, apples and onions in the crockpot, washer and dryer humming along, and about to go tackle some leaves. No football for me today, we got the Monday night slot this week, which I don't like, but at least I'll get some things accomplished!

Arabella, I sure wish I could get those crazy shoes, but they're just a tad out of the budget, what with that new water heater and chimney I just got. Sigh... The oatmeal for lunch thing is actually an improvement for me, since I don't usually have lunch at all. I don't get a break at work, so I normally graze on crap throughout the day, which obviously is not a good idea. The oatmeal makes me feel like I actually ate something! Guess that might not work the same for you, but yeah, that feeling of being a little hungry here and there is probably a good thing. At least that's what I'm telling myself!

Mel, you're gonna be there any day now!

Liz, congrats on the size tens! Woo hoo!

Have a great day!

Auntie- Dh and I are going shopping for outdoor Christmas lights (all our old lights are shot). I wanted to wait until the weekend of Thanksgiving but DH just couldn't wait! lol

Have a great Sunday...wish the weekends didn't fly by so fast!

Thumbs up *yawn* Monday

I could definitely have slept longer this a.m. Had a good weekend -- didn't do much socializing but got some stuff done. The shoes worked great. I did my Saturday run in the new runners and walked about 6 miles in the walking ones, back out for another four miles this a.m. Feet are happy.

So, today I begin to count points for real. I was very well-behaved over the weekend, just didn't count. But today

Mel, that's so cute that DH is so anxious to get the lights up! Love that kind of enthusiasm. We've never put up lights but I'm thinking I'm just going to go ahead and do it myself.

Auntie g, I can see how the oatmeal would work for you. I don't know if I'd have it for lunch, but I can definitely see having it for dinner if I'm by myself. Not too many points, healthy, easy to digest before bedtime. Thanks for the idea.

Three more pounds down? Kudos! You've inspired me to action.

Liz, size TEN!!! You've just done fantastically. I think buying stuff at the Bazaar and sticking it in the freezer is a great idea. Beautiful thing, that family adopting. I bet it is a lot of work -- making Christmas happen for ourselves is! -- but could anything give you a warmer Christmassy glow?

Carri, BL is always stupid but it does seem especially so this year. It's like the trainers are trying to help them lose weight and the people who decide what else they're going to do are trying to make them gain weight. Eating what Marines eat? Competing to eat the highest number of calories? Feh. I like watching them lose weight but I've started fast-forwarding through a lot of the show.

K, Wimmens -- let's get out there and be fabulous!

Morning ladies! The weekends always seem to fly by! We bought a bunch of Christmas lights for the outside of the house (8 boxes so far) but still have a bunch to buy. We are always into decorating for the holidays esp Christmas! This is the first year we really get to decorate our new house since we moved in Nov 30 last year and everything was crazy.

Arabella- So glad those shoes are working for you! Walking 6 miles is AMAZING!!

Hope everyone has a great week! Here's to getting to 199 by Sat and not having the normal gain after TOM!

Morning Girls, sounds like all of you had a great weekend, I did too, could use another one right away but what are ya gonna do? Cannot wait for the 4 day Thanksgiving weekend...I could really use the time off ...

Arabella - i am interested in those shoes too, if anyone gives me $$ for Christmas maybe I can get a pair...you do so well with the exercise...good for you.

Auntie G - no I didnt dig out the ww stuff yet and not 100% OP either...kind of going back and forth, struggling but still not doing horribly...

Thinking about ordering those zumba dvds they have been showing on tv lately ( zumba fitness.com ) ...looks like something I would stick to and have fun...any of you guys have some of those? I think my library has them

Mel - OMG Girl you are so close...I can totally feel that you will be under after this week !!!!! great job !!!

Liz - good job on the size 10 jeans...I also do that with my lower sized jeans, where a bigger shirt to hide the muffin top until they fit perfectly, haha

Well girls have a great day....

Carri

Mel - I love decorating for Christmas! Such a nice holiday, I like to make it last a long time so decorating starts early! Since our thankgiving is over too, we can get right into Christmas.

Arabella - Wonderful on the 6 miles!! Good for you!

Carri & auntie g - Hi!

Today is a nice day around here, we went downtown and went for a good walk. We're trying to expose our puppy to more situations so we're trying to go busy places with lots of noise! I think we should head to downtown Toronto soon, that'll be enough craziness I think! Hope everybody has a great day.
