Happy Sunday Morning,
Yesterday I didn't get anything much done that I planned so it's counting as my "take it easy day". We tried to go to the farmers market but there is a huge Fair going on over there and traffic is horrid and crowded. We stopped at the meat market and picked up a few things. DH took me for lunch to the pancake house because I've been having a taste for them. I got a huge spinach, tomato and mushroom omlette with a small side of pancakes. Only ate a part of the omlette, will be eating that for breaky shortly.
I need to get a pedicure today but mostly will be doing lots of cleaning. It's nice to have the long weekend - there is no rush to hurry and try and cram everything into one day.
Good going on the weigh down Mel. Did it have anything to do with the chair dancing last night? I hope things stay quiet for you. Is the Zone Diet like MT in that you each certain foods specific to your body type?
Welcome back Patty. Glad to hear things have settled down. Time to get back to routines again.
Shad - that's too funny about the clerk giving you the stink eye for oogling the calendars how will you know you picked the right one if you don't look at them all Why would Melbourne have more holidays that Queensland? Here our holidays are pretty much nationwide. We have big (Independence Day and Christmas) holidays that everyone gets off and lesser holidays like President's day that only the federal government gets off. Like the post office needs 27 holidays a year. I guess with Labor Day this month, vacation next month, Thanksgiving in November and vacation and Christmas in December I can look forward to a few days off each month until the end of the year Thanks for reminding me of that! So you are thinking of flooring the attic - will you insulate as well? We have attic space over the garage but it gets so bloody hot up there that you really can't store much of anything. We have our softsided luggage pieces up there but that's about it and even with that I worry about the trim drying out and prematurely cracking.
Ceejay - we have a dumpster amenesty day down here where you can discard items that you can't put in the regular trash. Also you can call the town on recycling - they might be able to tell you where you can take your used goods. I won't say anything about you being back at work now other than I hope you enjoyed your time off.
And speaking of off, I'd better get off this computer and get busy. Enjoy your Sunday ladies.

Go Mel go and yes you can see those 70's.
Patty
I know my job causes me to stress and more than likely over eat. But I'm going to over come it. We can do it together. Like Mel said, it's time to relax a bit.
Shad
I wish I had you talent's in home repairs. I've been going through stuff while cleaning the spare bedroom. I should have brought that garbage bag with me to work to day, But I will tomorrow. I need to go to a super Walmart to buy some smaller container's to organize some of my shelves for house cleaning supplies etc. When I get organized there will be no more clutter. haha!!
Too bad I had to come back to work today but for once I'm ready for it. Hopefully there will be no bosses for two days. My four day stress free week end has helped tremendously.

http://articlesunlimited.holisticnet...ion_sugar.html
THIS IS ONLY ONE LINK OF MANY FOR SUGAR AND INFLAMMATION.
THE ORIGINAL BOOKS I READ WERE FROM 1969-1985 THEY WERE BY Carlton Fredericks and Herman Goodman AND WERE ABOUT HYPOGLYCEMIA. (LOW BLOOD SUGAR) AND THE OTHER BOOKS I READ AT THAT TIME WERE BY ADELE DAVIS..ALL ABOUT LET'S EAT RIGHT OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. IT WAS A LONG TIME AGO AND I WOULD HAVE TO "GOOGLE" MY MEMORY !!
HOW I GOT INTO ALL THIS WAS MY SINUSES AND IBS PROBLEMS. THEY GAVE ME ANTIBIOTICS EVERY MONTH TRYING TO "CURE" THINGS. THE DRS WERE FLUMMOXED! THEN ONE DAY I WENT TO AN ANAL/RECTAL SPECIALIST WHO THOUGHT I WAS DIABETIC. HE PUT ME ON THE PATH TO GOOD HEALTH,...TOO BAD I DIDN'T STAY ON IT!! BUT THEN I WOULD NEVER HAVE MET THE CHICKS!!!

Morning all - it's Monday here. All is quiet as the DS2 has gone to work and our weekend is over.
Yesterday was bad food day. The menu is definitely so I will be up in weight today. So it's back to clean eating again. Got to have lost on Thursday. I had intended a good day but it was DS2's he/she friend's birthday (today) and we went out for brunch. Then we got stuck into moving cables and plugs in the walls and when we emerged all covered in insulation fluff we decided on a take away for dinner. Naughty naughty.
Before you ask. The phone cable was in a funny place. It is now shifted to where the tv centre will eventually be. That means more power outlets as well and the shift of the paytv cable from one end to another. Today I have to get some cables and junctions and stuff (like what are you talking about??)
Went round to DS2's new place yesterday to list out what needs to be done in there before he can install tenants - looks like paint, and some (hopefully) minor repairs as well as a good clean. The yard will need a fair amount of work as well, and the builder will take care of the bigger stuff like guttering, barge boards, etc. As long as I am home, I guess I will get the job of 'helping'.
The garden is growing - more veges on the way. Lettuce, beetroot, spinach and tomatoes are leaping for the sky. Parsley - flat and afro - is thriving. This week I might try for some beans or peas - we will see. I need quick growing early harvest stuff.
With that, I'd better go sort out a menu for the week. It's good to shop on a Monday - there is no one else much around - less queues etc. Then get dressed and get on with it. Did some tiling yesterday but ran out of spacers, so today will be another day on that. I do wish DS2 would plan out the job before he starts on it. Hopefully his new builder will instill some sort of planning module in his head.
Anyway, I'll be back later with personals.
as well as a good clean. The yard will need a fair amount of work as well.

HAPPY LABOR DAY!!
HAPPY~ HOW ARE THE TOES LOOKING? ALL PRETTIED UP? IT IS A BIT LEISURELY THIS WEENEND HERE TOO. NO RUSHING. THAT BREAKFAST MADE MY MOUTH WATER AND IT'S ONLY 7:30!! HAVE A GREAT LABOR DAY. IN THE ZONE DIET, YOU CAN HAVE DAIRY. THE CARBS LIKE POTATO, RICE, BREADS AND CEREALS ARE CALLED "UNFAVORABLE" AND FROWNED ON. THAT'S OK WITH ME...THE CLOG ME UP BUT I CANNOT EAT THEIR AMOUNTS SO I AM REALLY DOING THE 6WBMO WITH ADDED DAIRY. I JUST CAN'T GET AWAY FROM OUR MICHAEL I AM STILL FOLLOWING MY BODY TYPE "C" BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT KEPT THE BULK OF THE WEIGHT OFF FOR 6 YEARS NOW. TO ME THESE PLANS ARE ALL RELATIVELY THE SAME.I AM BACK UP TO 188 THIS MORNING. JUST KEEPING A WATCH TO SEE HOW THIS GOES.
JEANETTE~ MAYBE THIS WORK WEEK WILL FLY BY AND BE A CALM ONE. I WILL KEEP MY FINGERS CROSSED. THAT WEEKEND OF YOURS SEEMS TO HAVE MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. I'M GLAD TO HEAR THAT. HAVE A HAPPY LABOR DAY
SHAD~REMEMBER THE OLD DAYS WHEN NO ONE HAD TO WORRY WHERE THE DANG CABLE WIRE WAS. YOU BOUGHT A TV AND JUST PLUGGED IT IN!! HOW IS IT THAT ONE JOB ALWAYS LEADS TO ANOTHER? THERE MUST BE SOME KIND OF UNWRITTEN LAW HIDING SOMEWHERE. GOOD THING YOU HAVE ALL THIS TIME FOR DS TOO. I WILL SEND YOU SOME GOOD ENERGY THOUGHTS!!
VERY CLOUDY OUTSIDE AND I FEEL LIKE CRAWLING BACK INTO BED. I THINK I HEAR THE CONSTRUCTION GUYS SOMEWHERE BUT CAN'T SEE THEM. WONDER IF THIS BUILDING WILL EVER BE FINISHED IN MY LIFETIME NOTHING NEW HERE AT ALL. JUST RESTING UP. HAVE A GREAT DAY.
HAPPY MONDAY/TUESDAY

Good morning all,
Happy Labor Day to those of us getting a day off. I have cleaning, cooking and laundry on the agenda today. That's ok, I'm looking forward to it. Have to get back into the mode of planning AND cooking meals ahead of time on Sunday so that I can take lunches to work with me and make sure I use up the food that I buy.
Mel - hey, if MT works for you then stick with it. I found his plan ok for me too, like you just added some dairy in. No rice tho - didn't you used to spend Sundays boiling eggs and cooking rice? More free time for Mel to pedal.
Shad - sounds like you have a nice little garden going for you. Not huge but enough to enjoy some fresh bits here and there. I can totally see you being in charge of landscaping at DS2's place. Did he buy new (hence the reference to the builder) or an older home? Houses are starting to sell again here. Not sure if it's pricing or getting near to the end of the government's offer of an $8,000 credit if you buy a house. Sounds like you're getting a bit more rain relief, at least you don't have to water the garden with laundry water.
Ceejay - sometimes when you tidy up, it looks so nice you are hesitant to mess it up again. Then again, it's also very easy to walk by, drop something and start the mess again. I find I have to be extra dilligent to keep away from the bad habits. I'm "always going to change my ways" for the last 20 years or so
Saw a funny today - The only way I'll drop 10 pounds is if I go shopping in London...
Ok, things to do, let's get busy. See yah. to the other busy chicks

Work has been fairly quiet this morning. However, upon arrival I thought I smelled chlorine while making rounds. There was not an alarm light on when I came up stairs. After the wells started pumping again I went back downstairs and did the ammonia trick. What a puff of smoke! (An instant proof of a leak.) In my honest opinion the ammonia stinks worse than chlorine. I immediately called B who came and turned those cylinders off until in the morning. They have new safety gadgets on the cylinders now and it's been so long since I've had to deal with this, it was more simple to call him. 2 is better than one in this case.
The phone calls have been lighter than normal also. I've had two phone calls about their power so I had to send the electric stand by person out but right now it is peaceful. I'm suprised that I haven't had more phone calls about garbage pick up. I hope the customers are enjoying their day.
Happy
You are making me more and more excited about my almost planned trip to Springfield, MO. I'm waiting on a conformation email/phone call from my sister. Springfield is a city worth looking into for retirement. I'm seriously thinking about it.
For me it's easier to just lay a pile here and forget about it, then say I'll do it later.
Mel
YOu have had good luck in using the MT plan. I need to be accountable for my actions. My aunt tells me a carb is a carb no matter if it's a fruit or pasta. I''m beginning to see that now. However, the fruit does contain some fiber, but hey there is alway the Fiber Sure or Metamucil that you can mix with your food. hmmmm.
Shad.
Are you rearranging the room? Don't you love all these cords!?
Annie must be working and Michelle is enjoying her day.

Morning all,
Going to be a quick one this morning. I have eaten something that disagreed with me. Life is not happy right now. So I will be having a day whereby exercise is confined to running to the loo and getting water from the fridge. I do still have some jobs lined up but it will be a slow day just getting from one thing to another.
We had a thunder and lightning show last night. The rain was very heavy. Seems that we may miss Spring this year and go straight from the dry winter to the big wet rainy season. Still it hasn't got too hot yet - watch this space - I will be whinging about the heat and flies and insects soon enough.
Mel - I gues we could always go completely wireless, however that would incur even more expense so it will wait for now and I will continue to poke holes in walls to get cables to the place I want them. Just means more work to patch up the holes at the moment. If I get the DS2 to do all the holes at once, then I can patch them all at once. Job done until I change my mind on the furniture placement again.
Happy - no the DS2 did not buy new. It's a 20 year old place and was previously tenanted by some blokes who used to fix their bikes and cars - the old owners didn't do much to it. There is no landscaping as such and the tenants had a dog - there is a fair amount of cleaning up to be done. The old owners are supposed to leave the place in a clean condition, but with only a week to go before handover, they don't appear to be doing too much to it. Eventually it will need a complete makeover - new kitchen and bathroom but for now it needs to bring in some money. I'm sure no tenant will complain about DS2 requiring access to put in a new kitchen for them.
Ceejay - I'm trying to get a life without cords running around the room hence the need for more electrical outlets, phone jacks and tv and cable antenna points. I don't believe any house has enough outlets. Everything these days seems to need two more than it used to. If that makes sense.
Okay - well I am off to have another drink and try to enthuse about the day. My weight is up this morning, probably due to the internal plumbing - this too will pass. Literally probably.
Happy - if you dropped 10 pounds in London, you would probably only have a very small purchase. Doesn't go far in that city.

Hey Ladies......
Shueeweeeeeeeee, hate to say it but glad this work weekend is over....8 hours a day on the feet....wears me out. Bella isn't much liking it either.
I am so far behind on posting I am not even going to try to do much personals.
CHELLE>>>>Happy Birthday Baby! You finally caught up to me. 23! Hope your travels were fun.
Shad...hope you are feeling better by now...I ate one too many jalapenos and my heiny is spewing fire...Now I truly know the meaning of burning the candle at both ends...lol
Ceejay...you worked on labor day?
Happy...I had today off of both jobs, but spent a good 3 hours cleaning the house. Hafta do it when I get a chance. Sides my hurricane son was home last week and gave me stuff to clean,....smiles!
MEL...you are remarkable, you were meant for that job with the seniors. It takes a personality like yours to deal with them.
Patty...Glad the new job/position is going well.
Laura...stick with the healthy way of life, the scales will move!
Not much else going on. Thursday is check in girls. Stay with it. We can do this. I think I may be down a couple of pounds. Waiting till Thursday for the official check in.
Have a lovely evening/night/morning, depending on where you are!
Love and Hugs

Annie – At least you had today off both jobs! Not much time til the Thursday weigh-in. Glad you’re anticipating a loss. Unfortunately this week is TOM week for me, so I don’t have great expectations. I need to try and avoid salt/sodium this week. Of course, this occurs to me after eating a grilled burger w/ Worcestershire sauce in it.
Ceejay – Glad you’re checking into recycling those electronics. Good job w/ the exercise. I’m having trouble getting back on track. Just doing some dog walks. Not working up a sweat at all. My bossless Friday was very nice, and I hope you have a couple bossless days this week to enjoy as well.
Happy – Hope you had more “take it easy” time than chore time this weekend! I have more vacay time to use, so I’ll be taking some time off each month for the remainder of 2009 as well. Looking forward to it! LOL re your 10 pound joke.
Mel – I supplemented my sandwich w/ soup, but I also ended up w/ a brownie. Sigh. I have no willpower! Hope you had a wonderful quiet weekend. Sorry Jen and Rich’s long weekend got goofed up w/ a wedding to attend. Have you done any peddling? No, I mean pedaling!! I’ll have to check out the sugar/inflammation link.
Michelle – Glad you at least didn’t stay much past noon on Friday. Hope you, hub and the dogs are off enjoying yourselves immensely. And Happy Birthday!
Patty – Glad the new job is going well. Hopefully the eating will improve when things calm down.
Shad – Good luck w/ the contractor. Ours did a great job on our window install, but put in the wrong size downspouts. And then they went belly up, so if we want the larger size installed, it’s out of our pocket – again. Could have been worse... A covering for the patio sounds wonderful and practical. Gosh, get the attic floor done before the heat really hits! Feel better soon.
My weekend, now coming to an end, has been pretty nice. Probably because I didn’t get around to any house cleaning! All I’ve done is several loads of laundry and unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher. Otherwise, highlights were a one hour canoe expedition on Saturday w/ bf in the Skokie Lagoons, Taste of Melrose Park on Sunday, and attendance at a teen beauty pageant today – bf’s niece won the talent portion for singing an Italian aria, and came in the top 25 of the overall competition. Never been to one of those and it was interesting. Neither food or exercise has been good, so I’ll have to get myself in gear this week. I may skip the movies tomorrow night and hit the gym.

Good Morning...is it Tuesday or Monday...always keeps me messed up the week we get Monday off. Plus trash day is moved to Thursday because of the U.S. holiday. So M, T, Hump day, Trash day, F.....I will be all messed up all week.
My CVS work schedule is gonna suck the next couple of weeks. They are killing me. Need to hire someone for the gal that walked out. CVS schedule starts this Thursday, then it is F, S, S, M W, Th, that leaves only 1 day off in 7 from there. Gotta love the $$$$. Song...she works hard for her money....
Laura....Grilled boogies w/worchestershire sauce sounds yummy, makes them taste like steak. I love canoeing. What a blast, haven't been in about 8 years. Would love to go.
MEL...YOU only think you are not taking the place of the boss, WE all know you are. hehe
NOTE: 4 jalapenos with cream cheese wrapped in bacon, broiled is so dang yummy, but I have been on the sh*tter for about 24 hours.....lol
T is coming over tonight and grilling out steaks. I am making the salad and side veggie which is undetermined at this point. Might make PB cookies to send home with him for the boys.
Not much else going on. Need to get my heiny busy.
Everyone have a marvelous day.
Love and hugs.

Typing here because I am having a "want to eat" moment. I had a grilled chicken breast/salad from McDonalds, which was very tasty. I am not hungry, just wanting to eat. I have had almonds and carrotts since lunch. Yikes. You would think I am getting ready to start or something, just make it go away. Funny when you eat healthier and exercise, all I can think of is food and eating.
