Good morning chicks,
Happy Easter weekend.
There are no bunnies in the town I live in now.

In fact in all the time we've lived here (over 2 years) we've only seen one bunny and that was on a nature walk. Back in Chicago we had a family of rabbits that lived in a clutch of bushes on the corner of our front yard. Every spring they'd come out and do the "bunny dance" which is the wildest thing. I'd look out in the yard in the morning and see the "Easter bunnies". I miss that... all we have is the Easter squirrels and it's not quite the same...
Mel, I figured those durn Frappachinos were going to do you in. I tried to sneak them away when you weren't looking but you had quite the death grip on them.

As for foundation, I noticed my face seemed to get really oily on weekends when I don't wear makeup. I talked to one of the ladies at a cosmetics counter once and she said that foundation helps keep the moisture in your skin. It's like a protective barrier. I would have thought it's better to leave the skin natural and breathe - who'd a thunk?

Because the makeup companies do switch out and constantly upgrade their products, when I find something I really like, I get 2 of them. Then I watch the shelves. When it seems like they aren't restocking a product quickly, you know it's on it's way out.
Madcat - have fun at the wine tasting and safe travels to you. Is mom all moved out of Florida now? As to Carla's comment - I remember one of your very first pictures in the original journals. Something like you peeking off from one side of a wall. You were a fabulous redhead and you looked stunning in that color. It was a shock to see you as a blonde since in my mind you are a 5'8 redhead.
Carla - I have always used whey protein in my smoothies and never had a problem. Of course I always stick them in the blender which mixes them up good. 1 scoop protein powder, 1 glass crushed ice or ice cubes, 1 carton LF or FF yogurt, 1 cup fruit of your choice and after I dump the yogurt in, 1 fill up the yogurt container with either water or juice and dump that in too. I find without some liquid, the blender seizes up and it's just too thick of a mixture. It's also too cold and induces the ice cream headache syndrome.

Now this recipe makes enough for 2 people, guess you could try cutting it in half. I have not been successful in making only 1 smoothie. The more it blends, the more air it whips up and the more volume you get in the mixture.
Shad - I do think there is something to your comment about the lack of trees and rain. I chose to live in an older section of town where there are lots of mature trees. It seems when they put in a new development they just bulldoze all the trees. It looks so empty. Hate it. Hope you have a nice Easter with the family. Are you getting a long weekend?
Hope you have a nice visit with your sisters Meadow. Here's some

for you. Stay away from the bunnies - chocolate and marshmallow!
Good to hear that things are going well in your part of the country Nae. Was the fish to eat or just sport fishing?
Oh my Ceejay - quite a nasty fall you took! You're already on your way no doubt but safe trip to you and have a good family get together.
We are not going anywhere, doing anything for Easter. Was a reason for a family dinner but not a holiday that I'd miss my family as much as Thanksgiving or Christmas. DH found a ham recipe that he wants to try. You can cook it with bourbon or apple cider. I'm not a big ham fan - told him to check with Boo the cat and get her thoughts. She was opting for chipmonk.
I went off the diet the last 2 days. Not a big binge but it feels like one simply because I have been trying to stick to plan. I told myself I have to get back on the wagon so as to not sabotage the few pounds I have lost. So I'll be eating my WW Pasta Primavera for lunch today instead of the mac and cheese that I'm looking at lovingly!
Going to post a recipe I made last night for Greek Chicken that I pulled off the WW site. It was good. You can add some salt and pepper for more flavor. I had the chicken and potatos and made a tossed green salad with some red and green bell peppers, sliced cucumbers, tomatoes and a sprinkling of some pre-packaged cheese bits - feta, provolone and parmesan. Topped it off with a light Italian based dressing. The combination of the flavors was quite good. We really enjoyed it.
I started this post early in the morning. Here is is almost past lunchtime and I'm just getting around to posting.
Hellos to Hooly and the rest of the crew... Happy Easter to you all!
