Shad, it sounds like the worst of your project is over (apart from the tfg, of course). Unless of course you'll be double and triple booked to make up for the others leaving? Or will you be moving into a nice calm phase where you'll have days with just one short training session booked? (I always think of the short days as freebies, even if we work extra hard while on duty.)
For your TO-Calgary flight, make sure you look into flying via WestJet. It's much cheaper this June than AC, according to TravelZoo.com which sends me travel bargains weekly, and was quite a pleasant travel experience the one time I flew with them. I think they have several non-stops TO-Calgary every day.
Mel, sorry to hear the eyes are acting up again. Is there a link with the frappucinos? Or maybe those pink demon bunnies??
We had a few snowflakes here today. I assume you're freezing too? At least the cold keeps the pollen count down, right? Have a restful weekend!
Meadow, lovely to hear from you! You sound quite contented, although I take it all the feminist literature has left you a little feisty... and now you're a redhead to boot... I sense a trend here. Happy's a redhead too, if I'm not mistaken, and for some reason I think of Madcat as a redhead too. Maybe we should all go out and buy a bottle of the same colour. It could be like the secret Masons' handshake, a perfect way for us worldly chicks to recognize each other wherever we roam... Hmmmm I seem to be babbling.
Rose, congrats on the nice fish! Did it become dinner, are you having it mounted, or are you a catch and release kind of gal? (My ex was a fisherman - imagine my shock when I found out he thought catch and release applied to wives as well...

) As for the boyfriend, it sounds like you've moved on from the whirlwind of new love to making it work for the long haul. Good luck to you both - it is nice to have someone more articulate than a cat to come home to. Of course cats don't expect you to serve them a hot meal every night...
I'm feeling somewhat disgruntled - the return to eating a little bread and rice seems to have caused a rebound of two pounds upward. But that's still a net loss of 7, and I'm trying not to let myself get discouraged. There's still no reason I can't hit my short-term goal by Shad's arrival in San Fran if I don't go off the rails. I'll have to stay out of drugstores until they've liquidated
all the bargain-priced leftover easter chocolate...
Mel, I forgot to thank you for the tip on better smoothies. It did make a difference, and next time I'll use all ice cubes for the fluid part. I do think the whey powder I'm using is part of the problem, and I'll get something from GNC next time, should be better.
Happy Easter to all the chicks. I'm off to visit the difficult stepmother for two short days, hope to return only lightly mauled... I'll try not to give into the usual urge to self-medicate with wine and chocs.
