Doubt there will be time to post tomorrow. So I'll say my good mornings now. Hope you all had a nice Easter. We made a ham basted with bourbon with a bourbon mustard glaze. It smelled like a highball. Ugh. I was fully ready to blame DH as it was his suggestion. The end result was moist and tender but we both agreed it tasted like... ham. You would never have known that it was carefully basted with bourbon for 2 hours and then carefully trimmed and basted for another hour and a half with a honey/bourbon/mustard glaze that DH lovingly put together. It just tasted like regular old baked ham. Moist and not salty.
The potato salad I made was disappointing. Perhaps that was God's way of making sure I wasn't tempted to eat too much of it. (THANK YOU
) DH can have it all as far as I care. I'm not a ham person and I told him this when we were picking out a 9 pound ham together. Ah well - it will be good chopped up into salads with some sliced turkey and dried cranberries. I tried another WW recipe at lunch to use up some of the leftover chicken tenders. It's sauted chicken with a mixture of toasted pine nuts (pignolias), garlic, shallots, asparagus. You then cook down some FF chicken broth and tarragon and then mix the pine nut mix in and serve it over the chicken. Everything is cooked in the same pan so it picks up the tasty bits from the first step of frying up the chicken. It was absolutely heavenly. I can't wait for lunch tomorrow to finish it up.
And it was only 5 points, plus a tossed green salad (0) points, 1 spoon of Italian Dressing (1 point) and a glass of LF milk. I was very satisfied. I was still ok at dinner which allowed me to only have a taste of the ham, potato salad and corn. I am getting used to tracking - it's much easier online than in the little books - you can look stuff up, enter it yourself and it will remember favorites and adjust servings to adjust points. Every recipe I've tried so far I've liked. I even tried one of the WW cereals for breakfast this morning - Cinnamon Crunch - like puffed wheat with some crunchy bits. I added 1/2 cup milk and some fresh sliced strawberries. I thought it was tasty. DH said it was bland. Of course - he's used to eating the Sugar Crisp version of the cereal! The only thing with cereal is that it makes me really hungry an hour later. I'm much better with eating protein in the morning. Even if it's just a LF yogurt and a LF cheese stick. Eggs seem to fill me up the best for the longest. Sometimes I pick up a scrambled egg in our cafeteria on the way in.
I sure do have a taste for pancakes now that we're talking about maple syrup. No Happy NO
And the pancake syrup you got with DS2's pancakes Shad - not the same as maple syrup. They are both pretty sugary but maple tastes better.
The alarm is ringing at 5. Better get ready for bed. Good night all. Pleasant dreams.
Nice to see you pop in Ruth!

BUT I TASTED THE SALT RIGHT AWAY AND DID NOT EAT VERY MUCH. THE REST IS GOING UPSTAIRS TO THE KIDA AND I'LL MAKE PEA SOUP FOR JEN TOO. HOPE YOUR WEEK IS A GOOD ONE!! DID SUNDAY HAVE TO SHARE HER LUNCH? OR DID YOU FIND SOMETHING TINNED TO EAT!!!

It only seemed like a day or too. I’m going to try to catch up. OMG: dancing broccoli!!! And where did Easter GO? I stayed away from most food except some chocolate chip cookies and pizza. Otherwise I either ate nothing, or ate healthy. I think it is a general improvement, but neither my scales nor my pants are saying anything complimentary.
There was even a bit of snow on our bluebells. Anyway, I’m going to have to be very careful with spell check, because I keep dozing off. I wonder about driving hope from the office. At least I don’t have much I HAVE to do this evening.
Morning chicks,
This SAP implementation has been anything but easy - work is more chaotic than ever. I am trying to stay out of most of the tornado but I am involved in parts of it. I am having a bloody nose - probably from it being cold and dry with the furnace again. The tendonitis is still bothering me mostly I assume because I simply cannot stop using the hand. The powers that be will not allow me to simply sit with my hand on a pillow, ice pack on hand, doing nothing for a few days.
Also funny about the men in our lives listening when we talk like them
GOOD MORNING FRIENDS! LOTS OF SUN AND COLD HERE. I KEEP LAUGHING WITH JEN CAUSE WE BOTH KNOW WE'LL BE COMPLAINING OF THE HEAT SOON.
GEE I CAN HARDLY WAIT.
DUST THE SNOW OFF THE BLUBELLS AND GET SOME LITTLE COATS FOR THEM WHILE YOU'RE AT IT. I LAUGHED AT THE COMMENT TO NAE....CAVE TIME!!
HOME CEEJAY!!! YOUR TRIP SOUNDED VERY NICE AUNT JEANETTE!
don't tell but I do seem to have a problem sticking with things.
