Oh that Intelligence Test....grrrr! At least I made it to Intelligent :D but I'm missing a whole lot more of the answers. Are we going to post all the answers somewhere after everyone that wants to play with it has had the chance to take it?

I've seen spelt mentioned a few times now so I did a little searching on it. I don't quite understand why we would choose that over SGWW???

When we overeat or eat illegal foods (as I did last night eating several cookies), is there any way of making up for it the next day? If we skip a meal, will that help? Unfortunately I don't exercise and the weather is not good for walking (which I really don't do either to tell the truth). :(

This is a direct quote from the Sugarbusters website.

"Missing meals is not healthy. It is important to eat three regular meals daily, and appropriate snacks are allowed."

GatorGal 02-21-2006 04:38 PM

Colleen--I got 28. Do you want to know the answer to that? Hint: parables (I think)
Yep, I think it would be fun to post all the answers. So far I am genius, (just barely) but will work on more of them later, along with my DH.

#6 could be 52 cards in a pack (without Jokers), but in my part of the country, we call it a "deck" as in a deck of cards.

Just killing sometime before I head out to a meeting.

Talitha, sorry you are down. Probably hormones. Hoping you have a better week.

Mandi, try the new Rosemary and Olive Oil triscuits. To die for! Your niece is a doll. Just make sure the bagels only have 3 grams of sugar. I think mine are Pepperidge Farm Mini bagels.

Country, this cold weather makes us want to eat that comfort food. Get right back on track.

Teensy, Old friends and shopping and lunch. Doesn't get better than that.

Nicolee, I agree with Gator, Just limit yourself to a small piece and you will be fine.

Dripping, skipping meals is not good. It only makes you hungrier at the next and you tend to overeat. Just get right back on track after a mistake. That long binging is what hurts us.

Have a great evening.

Hi everyone...just a quick fly by. I'm in Vermont this week with Derek on a business trip with the kids!! I love tagging along with him. He's left his work computer with us so Shelley and I can work on a powerpoint presentation on the Solar System together. It's coming out really cool!

Unfortunately, it does some real damage to my eating. Last night I had tacquitoes (sp) at a fabulous Mexican restaurant. Tonight will be pizza and another will be Chinese adn we'll probably toss in a trip to either Olive Garden or Fridays. :o Hey, ya only live once. Next week, I have very intention to crack the whip. I've been lax for a week or two because I knew this week was a comin' and have been gearing up for a real push to get into the 140's. I've got my stepper ready, my 5lb weights ready and March is around the corner (which may sound nice, but in reality, March can be one of the meanest winter months around my neck of the woods...or the nicest!!) and I'll be walking the dog more. My parents' 50th anniversary celebration is in June and I want to have lost some weight before then.

Okay...I'm off to order pizza. For those lurking or that are new, for the record, unless its whole wheat, pizza is not legal fare...niether is most Mexican food or Chinese (White rice, flour/corn tortillas, etc)

Talk to you later...may not be on much this week, but I'll try.

Kris

Thanks Solly. So the ww bagels are okay as long as there is no more than 3 grams of sugar?

Talitha 02-21-2006 06:41 PM

Dripping- Spelt is an anchient grain very similar to wheat. The only reason that we use it is because my son is allergic to wheat.

Posting Dinner real quick

D- 2 boneless pork ribs with turnips and carrots, green beans.

dripping 02-21-2006 07:42 PM

Thanks Talitha for the explanation on the spelt. I'm always interested in something new (well actually something old if it's an ancient grain)! Having a child with an allergy must be difficult, especially as a mom can't always be there to watch out. I don't know how old your son is, but will that mean even things like birthday cakes are out? I was surprised to hear on other forums that PB is outlawed in many schools because of allergies. There's a whole different world out there now. When we were young, allergies were fairly uncommon.

Hi all. Im am so sorry I havnt been here. I honestly have tried.
I am on another board and Ive had a hard time getting there also.
I just have so much on my plate I cant keep up with it all.
Im having some physical symptoms that I know are stress related and really I dont understand it. I mean Im busy but not that busy to be stressed ( My kids are grown and gone so I dont have to deal with raising kids anymore so I know that is way more stressful than my life is now)
I cant seem to relax.. I always have to be doing something.. its silly but for some reason thats just the way I am. I really need to go camping and get a break..then Im forced to just sit around an relax!
Anyways if Im not around much know that Im still here in spirit and I will at least try to get here to read if not post.
 to you all !
PS.. also I am working on my quilting now so alot of my computer time is spent there. :)

Colleen: I'll trade you a 6, 12 and a 26 for a 10!

Later: Ok, nevermind. My dh and I got them all, but I have to say that this obviously was written outside of the US. For instance, #31 is 6 balls to an over in cricket. My hint for 28 was wrong, and this one is scientific. Hint: chromosomes. Colleen--for # 12, think nursery rhyme.

Talitha 02-21-2006 08:14 PM

Dripping- Jacob is 14 months old. He's allergic to allot of things. Dairy, Wheat, Soy, Peanuts, tomatoes, bakingsoda and rye. It's very stressful, and yes I worry about leaving him places. I take him to the YMCA and the ladies in the nursery take turns so there is always one person in the nursery dedicated to watching him the whole time. Other than that, He never leaves me except with my mom, MIL or a babysitter at MY house with our food. He may grow out of some of the allergies. But they tell you not to 'think about that as an option' until he's at least school age. Most true allergies will not go away before he is a teenager. Sensitivities can, and the later half of the list is sensitivities.

Evening ladies....

Not much happening, got bored with the TV and the IQ test is driving me nuts. Thanks for taking the time to check this out....I enjoy these kinds of things. I hope that some of you did too.

Katpo-- Give me some hints on 29......I have 27 out of the 33 (didn't count the one Gator mentioned.)

Gator-- Congrats to you and dh, number 6 threw me too, I call it a deck also...... I figured out # 12, and got #31 from you......but still haven't come up with the rest....I knew that it was probably written outside the US because of numbers 14 and 17. My dh is no help....he doesn't enjoy stuff like this. I still have numbers 24, 28, 29, 30, and 33 to figure out. Back to the drawing board.......

Good morning! This is a teaching day for me. I have NO idea what I am going to do with the kindergarten this morning. Or the first, or second grades. I need a quick idea, but my brain is not functioning. I hate it when a day starts like this! :(

I am on my second cup of espresso if that helps you to understand how bad off I am!

 See you all later!
