I have been very good SB wise and it took me a week to lose 2 pounds. Then…..my husband borrowed my scale for a project (a worthwhile project, I might add) and the morning after he returned it to it’s appointed place, I weighed 2 pounds more on it. How discouraging is that! I absolutely did not eat off plan and there is no way I should have gained. Maybe it decided to reset itself higher all on it’s own. We all know how sneaky those scales can be! That was three days ago and I am back down a pound and still continuing on.

Rosalie: Hey, thanks for the information. I have read the book a couple of times but there is always information out there that I miss. I am soooo happy to have been given this good information from you. The next grocery store visit will include those prunes. (That was written several days ago. Since then I have been to Sam’s and now am the owner of a very large bag of prunes….yum.

Deb: Thanks for the words of encouragement. I was very happy for you that you have maintained your weight loss for a year now. I know it hasn’t all been easy and that should make it even more of a victory for you. I was glad to hear that the quiche can be frozen. I use to go to Jazzercise. I felt like it was good exercise and lots of fun to exercise to routines. The one close to me moved and I never got back into it.

Jred: That was a good idea to try on some past life clothes. I wish that I had kept a garment to try on when I am getting discouraged. I, too, ask question about the food at restaurants. The other day, I asked the waitress if the chicken with lemon was sweet and she said no. Well, when I received it, it was sweet. I asked her to ask the “chef” what sweetener he put in it. She was so surprised to report that he had actually put sugar in it. Next time, I am going to request that if any of my food has a sweetener, to let me know before it is made and I will order something else. My husband wants me to print up a card that has all my requests on it and have the wait person staple it to the order. I wonder if even that would work.

Monet: Thanks for posting the picture. You and your daughter both look adorable. The cake is amazing. It looks like you really worked a lot on all the preparations. I’m voting with Red1…you need Calgon to take you away.

Sef: the range indicator on the car is a device that figures out how many more miles you can drive before you need gasoline. It is very handy. Sam’s prunes….yeah! I am anxious to learn more about the chicory sweetener when it hits the market. Does it taste like honey or chicory?

Fillise: You were talking about your kitty turning one. My youngest cat is 13 ˝ and we still refer to her as the baby. She is still a kitten.

BOB: That crud seems to take three weeks to wear off. Are you feeling better now, it has been that long, right?

Quilter: Hi to you. So glad to see your post.

Jenn: Let us know how you like Curves for Women. My daughter thinks it is great and really kept up with it. She is suppose to visit early July and I am anxious to see her new muscle definition.

Jack-K: I loved your story about “sugar shock”.

Mercy: Welcome! Welcome!

Toni: I read some of the Fly Lady website. It seems she has you inspired. I wonder if she could help me.
We are going to try some Turkey Mignons from Sam's. Has anyone else eaten them? Well, I will let you know.

Bye for now.

Default Good Sunday Evenin' Folks

We had gorgeous weather today after a gully-washing thunderboomer last night! I never opened my eyes but could hear the thunder and rain. It brought us some cool temps today and the sun is shining so it's been a great day.

Thanks for the well wishes for my DD. The doc says she should be walking on it Tuesday and back to full activity in 2 to 3 weeks. I'm just hoping the anesthesia doesn't make her sick this time. She had to have a hernia repaired when she was 5 and I felt so sorry for her lying there in recovery sick and throwing up. She doesn't handle things any better at 17, either!

The scale is moving down for me, even though I'm in the throws of my monthly visitor. I just hope by Wednesday it's still moving the right direction. I am ravenous, tho, and like Deb, am satisfied with nothing. So I drink a glass of water and wait as long as I can absolutey stand it before I go get something legal to snack on. I am about to go get an orange.

Hope you all had a pleasant day. I'll be checking in tomorrow when we return from the hospital.

Take care and nighty-night,
Jeanie

Happy Father's Day to all the father's related to all you wonderful people on this board!

Hey, here is my day's menu, how does it sound?

Breakfast:
3 organic eggs
2 pieces ww toast with 1 t. organic butter
1 T. Polaner all fruit

Lunch:
PBJ on ww bread
glass milk

Snack:
Grapes
oat bran pretzels

Dinner:
Steak (about 4 to 6 oz.) organic, free roaming, grass fed of course!
small sweet potato with 1 t. organic butter
asparagus with hollandaise sauce (made with organic eggs, and butter)
1cup fruit salad (nothing but cut up fresh fruit)
small ww roll

Snack:
2 sq. 75% chocolate

I know I ate too many starchy carbs, I usually don't eat any with dinner, but tonight we had a special Father's day dinner, so we had some stuff we never eat for dinner. The Hollandaise for example, since it is mainly fat. Ordinarily, we eat an almost carb free dinner. The chocolate was also an unusual treat. Considering that, does it sound ok? This was more than I usually eat, and I am trying to decide if I need to eat more, or less.

I am again, really tired tonight. Tomorrow I can go back on my phentermine. I sure have missed it this past week...with the after the wedding adreniline crash, and no phentermine, I was a sleepwalker!

FRUIT: You got my prayers! I am sure you are ready for these nosebleeds to be over. Any ideas what could be causing them? Will be praying..and anxious to hear what the doctor says.

Well, time to hit the hay again. I wanted to post to everyone, but I can't stay awake! Tomorrow! I will do it tomorrow!

(hey, that sounds like something Scarlet would say....)
Night all!

Default Good Evening

Hi All: Just back from many hours of driving - up at 5 a.m. and on the road before 6:00 - got home after 9:30 pm - after we had stopped for dinner and the restaurant was sooooo sllloowwww that I lost all the good time I had made on the drive.... we won't talk about the speeds I was flying at - but it was almost like being on a jet - I was in and out of states in minutes Feels good to be home!!

It was HARD being good - but then it was really EASY too - I passed on all kinds of things offered to me! When asked where to go out to eat - I just made sure it was somewhere that had a salad - did eat a steak one night - but I stayed OP!!! yeah!!!

Well Gramma spoiled son rotten - he gained every pound back and probably plus some! She fed him like he was starving to death - everytime he said he was hungry - he ignored me when I told him to go eat some grapes, instead he sat in the kitchen while she fixed him a 3 course meal - after we had just arrived back from a buffet dinner!!!!!

I am exhausted - and tried to catch up on everything....but time to go to bed.

Missed my computer, missed being able to keep up on posts as well!!! It was nice seeing a friendly face when I got home - Serene was here dropping off my pupper. She looked great - had new clothes on and a new hair cut! This SBers is doing her wonders! I am so happy for her!!!
