just sitting around, checking through the site. i love this board and its many challanges. i was just wondering if anyone would be interested in a Thanksgiving challenge? off the top of my head, i think we have roughly 6 or so weeks until then. and i know there is a halloween challenge already in progress but i thought for those of us who were late starting or even those who are in it and yet still want another challenge , can join.
so i'll start and if anyone wants to follow, great! (hope the mod of this board doesn't mind...)
i am 190 now and would like to lose 10-12lbs by then. that is about 2lbs per week, which i think is do-able. i would also like to continue to not eat red meat and cut out soda.
I'm wavering between 203-205 and I'm going to shoot for those same 10-12 lbs. It fits in very well with my own first mini goal. I'm also going to stick to drinking more water than milk and exercising (hopefully) 5 days/week. The first and last time I stuck with something for 6 weeks was great, but two years ago, I'm excited to try and do it again!
And now that I've said that it's time to drink a glass of water and hit The Firm!
One challenge after another, you guys are slavedrivers! lol. Well, I am still working on the halloween challenge but I guess another challenge never hurt anyone. Six weeks you say? I guess I could lose about eight pounds in that time, perhaps. I'll shoot for 143 by Thanksgiving. I would also like to try to exercise every once in awhile, lol.
I'd like to be 150 by Thanksgiving so thats 10 pounds for me to lose, shouldn't be too hard if I can just get myself up a little more often to go work out inthe mornings before class/work
well I am in. I am also doing the Halloween challenge but don't mind adding this one on too. By thanksgiving I want to be less then 140. I am 149 now so hope that I can lose 9-10 lbs in this time. It will help me to get to my ultimate goal so I am going for it.
today is officially day 1 for me here on 3fatchicks, though i've been dieting since august. and it's going well. i hope all days are like this *wishfull thinking*.
i am counting cals on fitday (customizing everything, of course) , and not eating red meat. just focusing on fish and poultry (i used to be a vegetarian). chicken is going to be a tad harder.
how about everyone else? how is the day going so far?
Wow, I used to be a vegetarian too! I am also having trouble with chicken. Don't think I will ever do the red meat thing again. Chicken is hard enough. I was vegetarian for 10 years.
I'm not doing the Halloween challenge, so I definitely need to get in on this one! I'd like to lose eight pounds and be down to 168. Let's do it, girls!
Count me in!!!! I'm going to be realistic and shoot for 12 lbs. I think its awesome how everyone is so supportive and optimistic on here, I love it!! This challenge is gonna be a difficult one for me but I'm up for it. I can't seem to stay on track but tomorrow is a new day and I have a positive attitude and a whole lot of support from everyone on here. Thanks so much for all the help! love ya all. Together we can do this, we can accomplish our goals.
I would LOVE to be a part of this challenge! I'm finding my motivation again and this would be great for me.
I'm about 183 right now, and I'll shoot for a 10-12 pound loss as well. I've been going for daily walks, and since I just got a job, I'll be out of the house more now (no fridge to tempt me!).
Count me in for the Thanksgiving Challenge! My goal is going to be 166. I may have to adjust this after the Halloween Challenge, but for now positive thinking. I am going to make it!!
LOL - i know a pound isn't much but i weighed myself today and i weigh 189. i lost 9lbs in total since starting my weight loss journey - not too shabby
so that's 1 pound loss for the gobble gobble challenge, great! lol. 1 more lb and i will be at 10lbs total since august! i think that's a pretty decent number. lol.
how is everyone else doing? i didn't do too great yesterday at night - snacked too much and went up to 1600 something cals yesterday, and my max is 1500. darn. i didn't count for today...gotta do that now!
can't wait to see how ya'll are progressing! we have time to do this and i know each and every one of you can do it! stay strong and don't look back!
