A quick good morning to all. I do hope everyone is doing okay. Good vibes for Sandra and Kathy.

Melissa, I'm so excited for you and looking forward to hearing how it's going.

I'm off to WW training this morning and hair this afternoon. I had to get up early for WORK, yuch!

Congrats Melissa! I hope you get the house. It's so exciting to have your first home.

It rained last night, and now all the grass is green again. Ha ha, spring is winning!

We're in for another relaxing Spring Break day here at home. Cinnamon apple coffee cake in the oven, kids in their jammies...as Sandra says, Life is good. If it gets as warm as it was yesterday, I may take the girls to the park.

Time for a shower...

Angela

Good Morning Chicks! I just popped in to say good morning because I only have a few minutes. I still need to clean the stuff I couldn't see to clean well last night, eat breakfast and shower and get ready. It takes me a good hour to shower and get ready. I'm a high maintenance girlie!

Melissa, I could have hooted when I saw your message! I'm SO excited for you and Aaron. My fingers will be crossed to hear some good news.

Saundra, good luck today at WW. You'll be great. I wish I had a Receptionist as knowledgeable as you!

Kathy, I hope you got you list together and have been properly fed and watered this morning. I saw that you had some pain last night. Are you feeling any better this morning?

Sandra, I hope you are doing well. You should have taught Curtis how to get on here to tell us that you are ok.

Gotta go Chicks! I'll be back mucho mucho later!

Thanks guys!! We went this morning and now the deal is in process. We will hear back sometime today, probably with a counter-offer of course. Apparently the person who wanted the house before still wants it and might put in an offer today too. We don't want to play around with that!! So please keep your fingers crossed that all will go well!! Gotta get to work...Hope you all have great days.

If I was the Seller, I wouldn't accept an offer from the people who backed out once already. But that's just me. Sometimes Sellers and their Agents just want you to believe that you are bidding against other people so that you make your best, highest offer. Sellers are always hoping for a bidding war among buyers!

Well hopefully she was just blowing smoke and won't really try to put in an offer today. I just can't wait. It's hard to believe that in a few weeks we could be moving in to our own house!

Good morning. I just stopped by quickly to say that I don't feel well and won't be staying. The pain seems to be getting worse but maybe my leg is getting used to being in the boot.

Apparently Shaun wasn't here last night because I started calling on the radio at around 4:00. I needed some water and nobody was here. He never answered and last night the girls said they didn't see him. I had to get up and get my own water and I was a little ticked: the sink was full of dishes, there were towels that needed to be folded, etc. I also never got to give him my instructions for when to give me food. So this morning I got up and started trying to call him again so I could get something to eat or drink and there's no answer. I guess I'll just be lying here until someone checks on me. AGAIN. I hate this.

Melissa, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Just checking in before we go - yes off to a late start - but at least we are relaxed and hopefully rested? Finishing up the packing and have to eat breakfast/brunch? Weather lovely so far but rain expect tonight but I hope we will beat it.

I also managed to do my roots touch up this am and got all the 'maps' printed out - hope not to forget anything important.

My eyes are basically back to normal, but I was LIVID w/dh last night (which is running into today unfortunately). Because of my eyesight problem I stayed late at work until they somewhat 'normalized" which meant not being able to drive dd to dance class (class starts at 6 pm - we usually leave around 5:35 or 5:40). He did offer to drive her seeing as a) I would be late and b) my eyes still felt funny and I had a bad headache.

I finally left work around 5:20 - pulled into the driveway at 5:48 - his car is STILL IN THE DRIVEWAY - and dd is standing by the door! So she gets into my car and off we go. I am furious - and not sure what is going on! Ask her where dh is - she says the door to bedroom is closed and she thinks he is on the phone??

Of course 2 minutes later my cell phone rings and he is acting all innocent - like I was going to drive her? why didn't you let me drive her? Cuz you were making her LATE LATE LATE - you were supposed to leave as discussed - and there is no good reason for this - supposedly he was 'resting' in the bedroom for a while.

So now I'm driving blind as a bat and telling her to keep her eyes open and let me know if I'm about to hit anybody! I ended up in my bedroom til having to leave for my meeting and inhaling some mac & cheese before I escaped. Hopefully we can over this today??

Melissa - I am SUPREMELY EXCITED and hope that the offer went well and is accepted - so when is the housewarming party?

Kathy - you must get a cooler or something and put it next to the bed so you don't need to rely on any irresponsible children to take care of you! Please take care of yourself!

Angela - save a piece of that cake for me - sounds delish.

Saundra - have fun at the training and I love Von's tho I have not been there in a while!

Sandra - hope all went well and you are recovering at home.

Vickie - hope your day is not too busy and you get to relax?

Will try to check in from gf's house (dinner party on sat night - chinese food ordered in and lots of cakes - UGH!) when I sneak into her den and use her computer! ha ha ha

have a fabulous weekend!

They counter-offered 2,000 HIGHER than the asking price, since we are asking them to pay closing costs. Apparently they have to get the asking price, and they have no $ to pay closing costs. So basically we're going to have to pay asking price and include our closing costs in the loan (they would technically be paying them, we would essentially pay them to pay the costs for us). Does all that make sense? I'll let you know how it goes.

Melissa, if you paid their asking price plus closing, would that put it at a higher price and payment than you wanted? Are there things you can get them to fix to make up for you having to pay more than you wanted?

Still no food here but hopefully when Kate gets up, she'll bring me something. I yelled and yelled until finally Shaun came in here and brought me some water, but he was irritated that I was yelling at him. I was so mad when he told me he went to someone's house. He left at 2:00 yesterday "to go running" but never came back. Anyway, he dropped off the water and went back upstairs. The doorbell rang about that same time and he said it was flowers, but he gave me the water and closed the door before I could ask who they were from, ask him to bring them in to the bedroom, or even ask for food! I guess he knows I'm mad so he's staying away. I would be the opposite, trying to do more to make up for it, but I guess he's not like that.

Geez, I hate to complain so much. Hopefully I'll be able to get up in a few days and get my own stuff.

Kathy, I hope that your family will start helping you out a little more soon. You need to rest.
The house is much lower than our limit, so even if we paid the higher price we would be well within our price range. It's just annoying--who lists at the price that they actually want? I thought that was part of the game. Anyway, we still think it's worth it, and I feel like it will work out.

Kate had to leave but I finally got Shaun back down here. He brought me a sandwich and a big jug of water. I remembered that I had a 64 oz. jug in the car so I had him fill that up. Hopefully I won't have to bother anyone else and Judd will be home at 7. Thank goodness I can make it to the bathroom and back to the bed by myself or I'd be in a real pickle.

I suppose the people listed at the minimum amount they needed in order to pay off their own loan. They were probably told if they listed it for a higher amount, they wouldn't get it. Sometimes there isn't any room to play with and I guess this is one of those cases. Still though, they should include a carpet allowance or repair a few things.

The flowers were from the B-2 employees, and just now I got an email gift certificate to Amazon for $70! (Also from coworkers.) Now I have to go shopping! I have no idea what to look for -- I'm leaning toward a bed tray but by the time it arrives I hope to not be in the bed 24/7.

WE GOT IT!!!

It was a little more than we thought we would have to spend, but it was still well within our budget and the house is worth it.
In 30 days it will be really truly ours!

Kathy, what thoughtful co-workers you have. Maybe they could come over and feed you. $70 is great...maybe some new books you want to read? Or anything really. Amazon sells everything there is to buy.
