MERRY CHRISTMAS CHICKS!!!

I hope you all have a wonderful holiday surrounded by your friends, family and loved ones.

I was absolutely and totally spoiled by my wonderful husband for Christmas. He loved all of his gifts and is, even now, trying to figure out which of the cool World Series Champs shirts to wear to my Sister's house. Well, I'm cooking us brunch in a little while and I have to get organized to leave around 11:30. I just woke up a while ago so I'm just sitting here having my morning coffee. I'm sure I won't be back again until after my little brunch tomorrow early evening.

I have my weigh in tomorrow morning. I'm not going to sweat it. I still have my TOM and I'll be eating salty food today (the ham). I don't even count tomorrow as a real weigh in but I feel that it is important for me to go. Next week I'm going to try really hard to start exercising again.

Love and light to you all!

I'm back from the store. Had to get a few more stocking things and hit the ATM one more time. We have a $500 per day withdrawal limit so I've been having to divide the kids' money up into several days.

Potatoes and onions are in the oven, the chicken is prepared, biscuits are ready to be cooked. I'm all set and it looks like breakfast will actually be called lunch!

Happy day to you all. I hope you have a very nice time with your loved ones.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Hope everyone is having a day of peace and relaxation surrounded by family and friends!

Sandra - sounds like you are quite the early bird. We didn't get in til around 2 am so we are all dragging around the house.

Vickie - Sounds like Jim really liked his gifts! So what was your favorite present?

Last night at sil's was fun - lots of people, food, drinks and presents! Dh and I got a most "unusual" gift of an acrylic reindeer and sleigh set which is supposed to be used as a candy dish we think? or decoration? Even dh was puzzled by this! Kids gots lots of stuff and this morning of course everyone was up by 10 and wanting to open their christmas and hanukkah gifts - quite an exciting time was had by all - and dh was there snapping pics w/dd and ds complaining cuz they were not "dressed" or looking good!

Eating not on plan but nothing too disastrous - had lots of cheese and crackers last night, lots of veggies and dip and a sliver of chocolate cake!
This morning I did indulge in some of the goodies my gf sent over - great baking! Bad news is my coffee maker has died! Got it all ready with water and coffee and nothing, nada, zip not a gurlgle or drop? Think something is wrong w/the pump. dh is gong to look at it but otherwise guess it's a good reason to hit those boxing day sales and find a spiffy new coffee maker?

To counteract all the eating I am very proud to report that I put on my exercise gear and did a WHOPPING 50 minutes on the treadmill (3.2 mph, .5% incline) so that should help counteract the goodies!

Hoping to ALL go to the movies this pm - altho not the same one due to age differences - big ds wants to go see Munich w/me and dh and little ds (and dd??) will go see something else - we are trying to coordinate ourselves accordingly.

Chanuka starts tonight so we shall light the first candle on the menorah and make some potato pancakes to go with dinner!

Later,

Frouf

That sounds fun, Frouf! Our family dynamics are off kilter by quite a bit, so today is weird. I wish it were different but it's not. Judd and I ate breakfast -- him in the family room watching basketball and me while standing in the kitchen doing 45 other things. Then Erin got up and ate, and is now showering. Shaun and Kate are still making their way downstairs. After they eat, we'll do gifts and then Shaun will go to his grandma's house, while Erin and Kate go to their dad's. After they're gone, I have a small list of chores to get done. Tonight I hope to just sit and do nothing.

Again, happy day to all! Enjoy yourselves and each other.

we are home from our christmas brunch gathering. we had a great time with the family. everything was relaxed and comfortable, too. i did it!!! i just had my sf bars and fruit salad!! my right arm is getting longer cuz i'm stretching it to pat myself on the back. life is good.

vickie, i'm a little tired and not quite as excited any more. it's almost crash time. curtis and i drove around looking for used rv's on our way home. the excitement is building.

kathy, i can smell your taters/onions. biscuits/gravy sound good, too. our kids gave me a bottle of wine that was the closest they could find to what i had at olive garden over in spokane. curtis and i will drink it next sat night. can i count it as fruit?

frouf, i am impressed with your treading. i'm going to do some later but i won't incline mine. i'm a flatlander. have a good time at the movies. we rented some dvd's.

Sandra, is this the RV to park down here? YAY!! I hope so! And of course wine is fruit! It's all grapes!! (Okay, and some other stuff too, but I'm sure the main ingredient is grapes!)

Gifts are all opened. I got lots of good stuff from the inlaws; kids all liked theirs (Judd included). His mom doesn't know when to stop buying.

Now I'm ready to just sit and do nothing. Hopefully all kids (again, Judd included) will leave me alone for a while. I'm playing with this New York Times recipe master thingy that MIL got me. It's fun.

kathy, we've about decided to get an rv that the jeep grand cherokee can tow and haul it back and forth instead of leaving it in texas. that way we can play with it in montana, too. there's not a lot of choices for the jeep to tow. we'll go look tuesday.

My favorite is the popup tent trailer. When we had a lot at Lake Granbury, I used to love going out there especially when it rained. There's no better feeling than sleeping with rain hitting on the metal roof and canvas.

Hi Chicks! I just got home from leaving at 11:30 this morning. I'm SO tired. Had a GREAT day but I just want to go wash this makeup off my face and lay down on the couch.

Now the Day after Christmas Brunch at my house is cancelled. Niece doesn't want to pack up the food and come here with her sick family. She wants us all to go there. Jim and I said ok and will pack up the food we have here and go there tomorrow after WW weigh in. I may decide not to weigh in tomorrow. I didn't do horrible and actually did a million times better than normal. However, we had salty ham (which I LOVED) and I was also eating green olives. All this with TOM and not enough water. I'll see what I weigh in the morning. I may wait until Tuesday to weigh in. I'll decide in the morning.

Frouf, Kathy, and Sandra, I'm very happy you all had fun. I'll be back in the morning to chat some more.

Hey everyone! I'm back..................if you'll have me. Sounds like everyone had a merry christmas

Where oh where have i been? Says at the top of this page that I haven't been here since 10/24! Really doesn't seem that long. Since then, we've been to Disneyworld - fabulous! Had Thanksgiving, neice was in the Miss Pennsylvania Teen competition - made the top 15 (a couple of years ago, her sister was 2nd runner up) - friends dad had a heart attack, my uncle had a heart attack - both okay now. DH's good friend had a stroke - yes at 43 yrs. old - Dr. just said last week that his peripheral vision will not come back and he will never drive again - not good for a truck driver. DH is at breakfast with him now. Seems to have affected his vision and speech - no limbs. Dr. also said that it's odd for those two things to be affected because they are controlled by different sides of the brain - looking into that I guess. Other than that - Christmas was good! Kids were really excited - DH and I didn't exchange this year either - just went to Disney and purchased the big screen TV. I broke a tooth before Disney, so must start the whole crown procedure on Thurs., yes that's a whopping $906 that is not covered by insurance. Also had our well water tested for hardness. 4-7 is pretty bad and ours is a 21??? No wonder we're all complaining of dry itchy skin. Looks like a water softener is in order. Will try to wait til spring. Joined the Golds gym 3 weeks ago, but have had a cold since then. Planning on going next week when the kids go back to school. Other than that; have been holding my own. Gained 2 lbs. at Disney, but last week that was back off; although I haven't weighed myself since and I'm sure all the cookies etc., have taken their tole. Going now to tread so I will be a little bit of shape for the gym next week. Have a good day! and will check back later.

Good Morning Chicks! I feel like crud. I hope I'm not getting the cold/flu. EVERYONE yesterday was coughing. It was horrible. Of the 15 people there, only 6 of us weren't coughing. I didn't feel great Saturday night and yesterday I had a headache and a very heavy congested chest. I've decided not to weigh in today and I might not go to the Niece's either. I may just pack up the food and have Jim drive it over there. I don't know what we'll eat. We don't have to be there until noon, so I'll see how I feel in a while.

Lisa, Welcome Home! We are always happy to have our long lost back in the fold. You have had quite a couple of months. As you can see, most of us die hards are still here.

The Niece is a sweetheart. Her Mom and I gave her seasons 4 and 5 of Gilmore Girls which she promptly gave to me to watch on the treadmill. I feel guilty watching her gift that I gave her but I took them anyway! I guess I need to get back on the treadmill now.

Have a great day everyone.

Hello all! Eeek, I weighed myself this morning, and I'm up 5 pounds from my lowest. OK, time to get serious again! I've been telling myself that I can have this treat, just this once. But too many "just this once's" add up to a whole lot. I am going to meeting tomorrow, and will face the music. I'm back on Core as of RIGHT NOW.

We have had a great Christmas so far. My sister gave me an overnight stay with dh! She paid for the hotel, made us dinner reservations, and she and her hubby are going to watch the girls. Dh got us a new digital camera. The girls are really enjoying their new computer...they like not having to compete with me.

We're off to the in-laws this morning. Unfortunately, they say they're having pizza for lunch. I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing my own lunch, so I'll have one slice, and then a salad when I get home. You gals who stayed on program over the holidays have my respect!

Well, I'd better get this messy house cleaned up.

Later!
