Yeah, the thread's gotten a bit slow lately. I get the feeling it'll pick up at then end of the month.
I don't know why, but this is the only 'chicks up for a challenge' thing I've ever really stuck with 100%. So it's been working out like gang busters for me (so far, knock on wood). My two goals are doing any daily activity and staying under the 1500 calories mark. So far I'm just at like 1499 calories a day but that's just fine.

Day 1: exercised (run + weights) / stayed under 1500 cals
Day 2: exercised (walk) / stayed under 1500 cals
Day 3: exercised (elliptical + weights) / stayed under 1500 cals
Day 4: exercised (elliptical) / stayed under 1500 cals <- posting this morning for last night

Hey thurr NightAngel26. Honestly, I feel great! I went for a long walk today, and I just felt so light on my feet I was almost skipping.
Don't push yourself too hard on the dieting side of things. It's taken me about 10 weeks to get to a point where I can comfortably eat 1500 without feeling deprived at all. I think if I had tried to do it sooner I would have gotten really frustrated and rebelled. I also gave myself 3 pauses for the 1500 calories thing because I wanted to stay realistic in my expectations.

Day 1: exercised (run + weights) / stayed under 1500 cals
Day 2: exercised (walk) / stayed under 1500 cals
Day 3: exercised (elliptical + weights) / stayed under 1500 cals
Day 4: exercised (elliptical) / stayed under 1500 cals
Day 5: exercised (elliptical + weights) / stayed under 1500 cals <- posting again for last night. I guess I'll be doing it this way, because I never know about the calories until the day is done.

A cool thing happened today. I found a pair of 98% cotton pants I got last year that I stupidly put through the washer and dryer, making them shrink so small I couldn't get them past my knees. I didn't get rid of them because I had only worn them out one time!
Today I put them on, and they're LOOSE! I've lost about 30lbs since then, but I still don't really feel smaller. Now I know I am for sure. Crazy!!!

I'm going to try too. Today is my first day of anything and so I'm going to focus on calories only for the next 3 weeks and then maybe add in Exercise.

So my goal is to keep between 1400-1500 calories with today being day 1!

Hi guys! Good luck on your goals!

Day 5: exercised (elliptical + weights) / stayed under 1500 cals
Day 6: exercised (run) / Used pause #1 on calories! <- Didn't have any shin splint pain, so that was great. Now I just need to get new running shoes again... mine are a hot mess at this point, lol.

Can't believe I'm already almost a full week into this cycle! Today will make 4 weeks of exercising every single day. The time just flies by now.
I think next time I'll add in a water goal. Might sound strange, but it's actually really hard for me to drink all the water I need. If I could change that, it'd be great.

Default Evening everyone...

Vabs- So proud of you that you fit in some random pants you couldn't do before that must feel amazing!! Thanks for the advice about calories, I haven't tried low cal this time yet, trying to take it slow.

Babybat-good luck w the green tea!! brewed or store bought?

Laura78- Good idea about taking it one thing at a time....good luck!

Well, I did ok today, might even do more before bed as far as exercise. Food-wise I ate whatever I wanted, was nervous today as I did a nice thing for myself, had my perm eyeliner done!! nerve racking but I think it'll be gorgeous when it heals. .

Really glad I went with three 3 pauses on this one now, lol. I only went over by a tiny bit, but I want to start planning out a my meals and snacks a little smarter. A 100 cals here and a 100 cals there really add up after a while.
Still no return of the shin splints, so I've been running up a storm.

Hope everybody's been having an awesome weekend!

Had to cut my run short yesterday because of rain, so I got on the elliptical instead. But it's sunny again today, so I'm planning on running for realsies.
