Everyone who has WI today: please check with your coaches on product discontinuation. Is the potato purée being discontinued? This would be BAD for me

Good afternoon everyone. It's getting cooler here. I hope everyone has a good OP day. I've one week left of holidays. Boo. I can't complain I'm an art teacher so I had a good long run. We planned on camping with our kids this weekend but everyone has a cold. I was looking forward to the challenge of staying on plan. It didn't work so well last weekend. I had to delay my reboot until a Tuesday start. 2 days down and it's going good.

Good morning! Today is my first day without ANY coffee lol. I am drinking chai tea and the funny thing is....I remember how much I love it! A splash of vanilla RTD and yummy! I am excited about this because my body is finally starting to rebel against all the sucralose. This has happened to me before- I get a rash on the backs of my legs and elbows. I am hoping by cutting out WF dressing and the extra Splenda in coffee I can still use the syrup on occasion and that the small amount in the RTD won't bother me. Have a Tea- licious day!

Good morning. Fourth weigh-in and down another 2.6lbs! And I did my measurements, and am down 18 inches since start!! Can't wait for my husband to get home for lunch so he can take my progress pictures so I can compare them!!

Two NSVs: 1) My "back-roll" is almost gone! 2) I could never sleep with my rings on because my fingers seemed to swell at night, and I had to be up a good hour in the morning before I could put them back on, and now I can just slide them on as soon as I wake up with no problem!

Have a great day, IPers!!!

Happy Thursday, everyone!

I am looking forward to the kids finishing day camp at the end of next week: my son lost his towel, his sweater and his eye glasses yesterday! Ugh! I really hope we get the eyeglasses back!

I am not really looking forward to school though - I am expecting difficulty with my daughter's school but a wiser person than me once said: "Don't borrow trouble from the future".

As for the diet, "the big C" is clearing and I am feeling much better and TOM has arrived, as I expected. So far, the munchies and sugar cravings aren't too bad.. I had SouthWest Cheese Curls to appease the munchies last night. Looks like my weight is not going down... could be those things mentioned above but I suspect it's what I am putting in my coffee (a small amount of soy milk and a splenda). I think I need to go back to putting the vanilla RTD in my morning coffee.

I am VERY tired these past few days. Not sure if it's the diet or everything that's been going on with the kids at day camp and Board meetings at the office and all... I was in bed by 8:30 last night but if it wasn't for the kids, I would have hit the hay as soon as I got in from work! I am definitely looking forward to sleeping in on the weekend if I don't automatically wake up at the crack of dawn, which is what usually happens to me when I plan on sleeping in.

...now if only I can get into the 180's...

As for my hubby, it looks like he is down 23.8 lbs since starting (just under 3 weeks)! I am so proud of him and so happy for him!

Keep it up, everyone!

It's getting cooler here too! I don't know where the summer went?!?! Enjoy the rest of your well-deserved holidays! Sorry about your camping trip. That sucks! Glad your reboot is going well.

Good morning all....another warm day here in Texas (104 today). Love the heat and love summer! looking forward to a lake trip on Saturday with family, should be good times.

Finally went to bed under 180...it has been awhile since that happened. I am not 12 pounds from goal, looking forward to seeing <175 on the scale in the near future.

Yesterday I bought the Premier Protein shakes from Costco. They are higher in protein than the EAS Carb Vantage shakes and they are soy free. They are also fairly disgusting to me and I wish I had been able to try one before buying a box of 18...oh well, 17 left to choke down. I wasn't able to finish mine from lunch yesterday but hopefully I can get a whole one down today if I make it cold enough.

Good morning all!

I'm back again, keeping up, and trying so hard to stick to the plan. The DH and I had a little weigh-in last night, and while he's down about 12lbs, I'm down about 3! So excited, and I know that being 100% true to plan will make those numbers keep coming down.

Started off the day right with my RTD and coffee, and am on my 3rd glass of water (20oz "grown-up sippy cup"). It's gonna be an AWESOME day!!!

Also, just have to share the little revelation we had last night. After having a slip... okay, a HUGE fall! and ordering pizza last night, DH looked at me and said "You know... We can never eat the same again." HUGE moment for us! I think we realized that if we're doing this, we have to do it for life! What a big moment! I think seeing the numbers is helping keep us motivated, and before too much longer, I'm going to have to take some before shots... can't wait to see my afters!

Hiya folks,

Thursday again and doing my weekly check-in. Despite getting back from holidays last week - then taking off for the weekend because the Wife's cousins had a wedding we were invited to - I managed to get back into a routine of sorts. The results have been quite encouraging. My weigh in today showed a loss of 4 pounds. Only 3 pounds to goal.

This has necessitated perusing Phase 3 protocols and the phase 3 breakfast threads. I won't lie, when I first read the protocol and the first entries on the thread it really seemed like gobbelygook and was akin to reading a calculus problem - well it's not really that complicated I just over exaggerated it to build it up to be a big problem in my mind. Let's face it opening a silver packet and moving a shaker back and forth is infinitely easier than having to actually "think" about what you are putting into your body and to calculate carbs, fat, and calories.

DW is contemplating returning to Phase 1 - she moved onto Phase 2 for holidays - but she still wants to continue to lose even though she is approaching her initial goal. It will be interesting possibly, when we are on different phases, as I told her last night - it's not like I will be eating pizza and bathing in melted chocolate while she is left to watch me and chew on a stalk of celery.

A few humorous things happened last weekend on the wedding trip. First, I rediscovered that DW makes a horrible GPS navigator. The place we went to wasn't overly large but never being there before I was relying on the Wife unit to provide directions. She did all right - helpful things like, as we were sailing through intersections she would pipe up with "Turn left here" or the ever helpful "Aren't you going to turn right here?" - Which left me to respond - "I guess not seeing as how you never told me I needed to turn until we were through the intersection" But we made it and no great harm came to either one of us.

The other interesting note was yet again I did my impression of an OCD raccoon having to wash of my food before I ate. The wedding supper meal consisted of roast beef, meatballs in a sweet sauce - pasta salad - marinated vegetable salad - cabbage rolls, buns etc. Almost all of which I couldn't eat. However, I took some roast beef and meatballs - I've been to enough of these things to know that the beef is always overcooked and dry so I took the meatballs as well.

The wife's family had a good show of me taking meatballs and wiping them off with my napkin before eating them. Hence the OCD raccoon impression. But you do whatcha gotta do. LOL.

That's it for me for this week. Have a good one everybody.

Congrats to you! Keep up the good work! I am still wrapping my brain around the "for life" part of this too.

I wouldn't call it a slip or a fail but more of a bad decision. However, they say "everything happens for a reason" and if this was what you needed to realize that you both need to change your mindset about food, then I would say that it was a really good thing!

You can both do this!

It appears I am having a bad week. My official weigh in is tomorrow but I'm only down .4 lb. I've been 100% on plan so maybe some miracle will happen by tomorrow morning and I will be down a couple of pounds. This will be weigh in #6 and I had read that this does happen but it's so discouraging! If I had cheated, I would expect this result but I've been so good and strict!

On the positive side, my pants are all to big....lol. It's such a wonderful problem to have!

Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow and maybe a bigger loss next week after this week of disaster.

I hear you on the back to school thing. This is the first year I haven't had my son in any camps, he's 12 this year so he could stay home, and I think both of us are ready for some structure! He is going to a hockey camp at the end of August to get his "skate feet" back on before tryouts. And WTG on handling the cravings!

Welcome and congrats on the loss!

Well, I've got today and tomorrow to get through until I'm on holidays - I can do this! My mom did tell me at about 10 last night that she and an aunt and uncle visiting from out of town are dropping by my place later tonight which means a quick clean up for me when I get home from work - yikes!

The package from lowcarbgrocery.ca is coming tomorrow - is it sad that I am so looking forward to getting it?

Have a great day everyone!
