Good morning. Fourth weigh-in and down another 2.6lbs! And I did my measurements, and am down 18 inches since start!! Can't wait for my husband to get home for lunch so he can take my progress pictures so I can compare them!!
Two NSVs: 1) My "back-roll" is almost gone! 2) I could never sleep with my rings on because my fingers seemed to swell at night, and I had to be up a good hour in the morning before I could put them back on, and now I can just slide them on as soon as I wake up with no problem!
My turnip fries were okay, but had an after-taste...almost bitter. Did yours? Maybe my turnips were old? Never had had a turnip before until IP. Might try rutabagas next. Bought my first jicama yesterday.
Before having the fries, I probably only had turnips in a stew and probably didn't even realize it then so I had no idea what they were supposed to taste like! I don't remember an after taste though and nothing bitter. My problem is/was my oven - it hates me (and I hate it so we're even!) and it just does not work well, hasn't since we bought it 12 years ago. I think I want to try rutabagas next too!
Has anyone found a protein drink that has good a coconut flavor? I have tried the pina colada IP drink and it is okay, but I am really craving some coconut.

Yesterday I bought the Premier Protein shakes from Costco. They are higher in protein than the EAS Carb Vantage shakes and they are soy free. They are also fairly disgusting to me and I wish I had been able to try one before buying a box of 18...oh well, 17 left to choke down. I wasn't able to finish mine from lunch yesterday but hopefully I can get a whole one down today if I make it cold enough.
What flavor of premier protein did you get? If you have the vanilla, you could try adding some SF torani brown sugar and cinnamon syrup. I have done this and it is really good. Might save you from choking the remaining 17 down.

Same advice here! You might find some SF coconut flavoring in either a concentrate or a syrup and then add it to a vanilla protein drink. It does sound good, you've given me an idea to look into!

Thoughts?
Are you having 2 cups of veggies at lunch and dinner plus some lettuce based salads? They are important! If you don't like to eat veggies, consider roasting them, pureeing them and from that, making a soup by adding a little water, salt and pepper. All of this really helps you lose weight. What are you doing exactly that you're not 100% OP?

Can’t wait for next week and a step closer to a goal.
Willsea,
Isn't it amazing how our bodies work? Just when you think you haven't lost an ounce, and maybe gained, your WI shows a lovely loss. Keep up the good work and getting to a normal BMI. I remember when I reached a normal one, felt great. Also, all of your blood count numbers are improving by virtue of this program.

Susie,
Rhubarb is wonderful! Cooked with a little water and finished off with a little WF strawberry sauce really helps the fruit cravings. Maybe try it sometime.

As someone else said, if you have vanilla flavored drink, look at Torani SF syrups, so many to pick from. There is a coconut version but also butter brickle, peanut butter, kahlua, etc.
i asked if they were going to D/c the potato purree stuff to girl (not my coach) person at my clinic whom i see more often than my coach, says no. not to her knowledge.
