Hi Michele ~ I forgot to check out the day you posted about Alpha... I thought it was tonight So sorry that John's parents didn't make it. I bet you were disappointed. But it sure does sounds like Alpha was a huge success! I am so happy for you

*~*~*

I am so very Grateful for ~
The simple beauty of a day that God had given us... the sunshine and warm comfy feeling of the sun , the awsome colors of Fall that is just beginning to show in our trees, the songs of the birds at our feeders, birdhouses & trees... I could just go on and on. I even enjoy a rainy day once in awhile.

*I Thank you, Father, for the simple treasures in life*

*God Bless*

I had a call from John today on my lunch time. He told me about his trip, he's very energized about it all. He asked about Alpha and i told him that we missed him, he didn't get home until about the time we were having dinner and his mother made them all dinner....... Then he asked me if I wanted to go to dinner this week at the chinese buffet we have in town (we both like it there). In my heart I'd like to think he wants to spend time with me, but I think he wants to talk about getting me more involved in Usana. I'm open to that, but I'd like it to be because he just wants to spend time with me... I may have to just tell him how i feel.

Default September 20 2004 dieters devotions

September 20

Revelation 21:7
'He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.'

Chris thought he was going to die. Why did the gym teacher make the fat kids run track? It wasn't human. His pulse was pounding so hard he thought his eyes might pop out. The finish line looked a million miles away. It wasn't worth it. Somehow he had to lose some of his excess baggage. Nobody could go through life feeling as bad as he presently felt. We need to overcome our weight problems. Life is not meant to be a struggle, but a blessed gift from God. If we will work to be overcomers, then God will bless our efforts and carry us over the finish line.
Today's thought: With each pound I drop, I move faster toward my goal!

Sprout,

Yesterday was so sad. We took my daughter to Hersheypark and it seemed that every ride we got on got held up because there was a large person who wouldn't fit. My heart broke for them. I used to weigh over 300 lbs. and wouldn't have fit either. I think it is just horrible that we (as Americans) are becoming fatter and fatter. I still have a ways to go, but I will never give up and I will never go back to what I was. We have two things going for us, knowledge on what needs to be done, and the Lord! He will guide us through all things.

Hi all

PT today was a little more challenging, i learned some more ball exercises, and mine is ready to use today too. I am only able to use one of the med-x machines because of my back problem, the other 3 are not good for me right now. It wasn't difficult, in fact it made me sweat but wasn't difficult to use. It's basically like a crunch machine in the sitting position but you are hooked up to the computer and it's monitored how far you go back and forward. The dr. doesn't want me going too far forward yet, it may make me flare up, so i'm only at a 36 degree forward. I did the rep 42 times, they stop you after 40, so next time there will be a little more weight and maybe more range for me to go forward and back.

I've decided that this was God's way of making me realize that I HAVE to exercise in order to be healthy.....too bad it took this for me to realize.

My friend from WA who has been working in Montana lately said he may have a surprise for me soon.....i think he's coming to visit! And my friend in ND called me today....

K, what I'm grateful for tonight......I'm grateful that I have a wonderful and supportive Mother.

HI GALS

Hi everyone..I have read the posts but don't have time to do individuals tonight... ... Made an easy casserole for dinner tonight..penne pasta, havarti cheese, colby cheese and broccoli florets with a sauce of half/half and butter bread crumbs on top.....warmed up some canadian bacon we had and some warm crusty bread...easy! Angie liked it and said next time just put the canadian bacon in it...or ham.

She has been really busy on making her fitness "biz" get going...I will PM the regulars when it is ready to look at.

Had a couple of slow days last week at work and maybe a couple this week towards the end..yipee...sshhh....don't tell Angie ...like she can't tell if I got home early...she can count the empty beer bottles

Well MICHELE-- I am off to watch the rest of your VIKING game...Sunny...those darn BROWNS!!...my RAIDERS got lucky...now, if my DODGERS can just hang on...not lookin' good...ah man!

OUTTA HERE...the game and Angie has a chore for me
