Good Monday Afternoon!
Good Afternoon Everyone
So many happenings this weekend ~ where to begin...
Saturday ~ Joe & I went out to do some major grocery shopping, not only at the reg. grocery store, but also at the Costco Wholesale Club. Joe bought me a new Lane Leather Chair for my office It is a red brown and ohhhh so comfy (I'll get a pic. of my chair later to show you all)!! And a few other fun things, some chocolate brown toss pillows for our sofa and these really cool pastel color mixing bowls: butter yellow, mint green, baby blue and rose pink! The exact colors I want to use in my redecorated kitchen (someday ). Then that evening we went out to dinner with our friends to celebrate their 27th anniversary with them and then we all went to a park afterwards... the weather has just been the best!!!! We all spent a good hour walking & playing on the swing-sets (with Joe pushing me) and we went on some of the bars --- gosh --- I haven't done that in years!!! What fun that was to do --- my girlfriend and I just laughed and laughed at one another and our antics in trying to fit on the slides and such. Good exercise Don't worry --- these were big kid sets, so we wouldn't break anything (just in case you thought that )
Sunday ~ After we went to church we left for Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio (the largest coaster park in the world) --- we got there about 1:00pm and stayed there till closing at 8:00pm --- what a blast!!! There wasn't a wait at all for any of the rides... we would get off and then just go around and get right back on again. When we got home after that long day as we pulled into the driveway... guess what happened???!!! Our brake lines to the back of our jeep totally broke! We heard it snap!!! We only had the front brakes to stop with (barely). I am soooo glad that it waited till we got home and we made it home safely. It was an hour and a half's drive home. So...
Today, Monday ~ Thus far... ... Joe has taken the day off so we could go to the garage and dropped off our jeep to be repaired (so I will not be going to Curves till I get my jeep back on Thursday, but I will be walking my 2.5 miles each day). Joe is now working on my dryer that gave way just this morning What's going on here anyway Of all days for it to go... I am trying to catch up with my laundry. Hopefully Joe will get it fixed so I am able to finish, if not there's always tomorrow. And I have already walked my 2.5 miles
Our weather has been picture perfect here in Ohio... just perfect! It is awesome to open windows, feel breezes and to hear the birds as well as feel the sun. It is suppose to be like this through Thursday. Awesome!!!
Well now that I have taken so much of your time I will try to catch up with all of you in my next post...

I am so glad to hear that you had such a good weakened! I really enjoyed seeing pictures of you! You sure did look like you were having a blast at that parade... look at them Mardi Gras beads ~ hummmmmm sure do hope they don't have the same meaning there as they do in Louisiana Just kiddin' around with you Nice picture of Simba too! Such a beautiful Lady!!!!
MKay ~ I couldn't make out your pictures either... they wouldn't enlarge for me either and they are very blurred... you are such a tease Maybe you can try again - we all sure would like to see you.
How was your Sunday to yourself? Did you make allot of jewelry?? Hope that your DH made it home safely and all is well for you both.
Gary ~ So glad you enjoyed your visit from Amanda, how is she feeling these days? Has she tried the IBS diet yet? I know that I feel like a different person on that program! Every day I feel more and more like the very happy person I am and my energy level is picking up
Sorry about your Raiders... but our Browns did wonderfully !!!!! 22 to 3 our WIN!!!! (rub it in rub it in ) First opening game win in like 5 years, 'bout time!

Thanks Sunny, we were having fun and i wondered if anyone would flash us, but there were a ton of kids around and thank goodness, they all behaved! Yes, my Simba is so pretty, but she's a girl.... I'm glad you are still giving us a little of your time with your DH home today!

Well, I am taking a few minutes to check in. Cooked burritos for dinner while Angie took the puppies to the dog park. They sure were wore out!! Just finished paying some bills and balancing my checkbook while my DODGERS are getting whopped up on my the home town PADRES
Tomorrow is back to school night for my nephew..I have already had him get "progress" sheets signed by his teachers, just to make sure he "doesn't" have homework that night...funny how sometimes I can jog his memory when he says "can I go..." and I say"are you done with your homework?" he says "didn't have any" then I say "cool--now just get your teacher to send me a note home tomorrow saying that you didn't." OH YEA, Uncle Gary...I almost forgot...

SUNNYD Wow! Did you get (lucky?) with those brakes! Ryan tied his soccer match at 2 all, Lara won hers, the doubles team that beat Amanda and her boyfriend Zack went on and won the whole thing.So you baggin' on my RAIDERS already huh Good for your Browns though, that was a big win over Baltimore for them. Now if only Garcia can keep his girlfriend in check Amanda is reading all the info on the IBS diet...she called me up "DADDY! It says I can't eat wheat bread or yogurt, etc...all the things I was doing to eat healthy! aahhhh!!" She will get it figured out. She came home yesterday to "send" off one of her girlfriends that's college hadn't started for the year yet, washed her car and visited with me while I worked in the garage for a few hours. Enjoy that good weather...but OH MERCY ME dear...give those "children" a chance on the swings will ya?

Did any of you see Oprah's 19th opening season show yesterday??? Awesome show!
She gave a new car to each audience member!
And took care of a homeless young girl putting her through school...
just an awesome show! I love happy shows like that
As you all can see by the time I just couldn't sleep, but I'll be tired later - I have been up since 2:30, tried to go back to sleep - but just decided to get up and catch up while all is quiet. Joe got my dryer all fixed (he's my handy-dandy man ) and I was able to get all the blankets dry and put back on the bed. And I have only one or two more loads to finish and I will be all caught up again for a day It's amazing how fast two people can go through clothes... it's partly because I workout twice a day.
I am not sure what my Joe is doing today yet --- he hasn't said whether is is going to take off again today. I was hoping he would so we could clean these windows together - the job goes so much faster when he does the outside & I do the inside. One of these days I am going to get those windows that you can flip to the inside. We had them in our old place and I got spoiled! Now I have the old ones here and they take forever to do. But when they are clean... I love the look --- as if the outside is coming in
This afternoon my girlfriends daughter, Sandy, is coming by to visit. She hasn't been over in a long while, so we have allot of catching up to do I look forward to her visit today.

Gary ~ Wore out puppies can be a good thing Did you get that checkbook all balanced? I just did mine too! I couldn't find $45.00 ... come to find out that the bank has never deducted it from my account even though the company had been paid in July. So it thew my account off... but all balanced now --- just havta call the bank now and get that all cleared up.
As for Amanda... yep! There's allot of sacrifice with this program, but all worthwhile for me. Maybe she won't need to be as extreme with the foods... she has to try eliminating a few things and see if she feels better. All depends on how ill she gets. In the beginning (which I am still in) it's all trial and error to see what is causing the flare-ups.
Yeahhhh Lara and a tie is okay for Ryan's team --- good job gang!

I was playing Cinderella last night. I spent at least an hour scrubbing my kitchen floor. It has such a build up on it and needed stripping and polishing. Dh and I did it together and now it looks a lot better. This will do until we can find new flooring to put in. I feel like I got a bit of an upper body workout doing it.
Eating has been going pretty well and I've been exercising. I plan to record my weight loss monthly and have to find a place that will weigh me accurately now since I've quit going to Curves.
Sunny: Wish I'd been on Oprah yesterday! Have a great visit with your friend.
Gary: Sounds like those pups are really keeping you busy And your nephew. Great job on teaching him to be honest about his homework. My guys would try to pull that one on me too. My youngest is out job hunting these days. Please pray that he finds work soon!
Michele: sounds like you had a nice evening with John. It sounds like he's kind of shy and maybe doesn't know how to relate the way he wants to. Give him time! If he's the one he'll come around.
Sunny, i did see the show (I tape it) and wasn't that cool!!! I was so touched by how she helped that girl with school and a wardrobe, etc. That was so touching. And that girl, what a beauty! I think it's very cool that Oprah gets such joy from giving to others. That's how it should be, huh?

Just checking in. We brought my dad home today. I am so exhausted that I am off to sit in the recliner and watch some mindless dribble on tv until I fall asleep. Maybe have a cup of tea while I watch. Just wanted to let everyone know that things are well. What a week though. The doctor told my dad to buy stock in cell phones and give his dog a big huge hug when he got home. The dog has been hugged (many times by many people.)
It's a rainy Wednesday here, but it's not too cold, and I love the rain.
I think i had a nightmare last night or I don't know what it was, i woke up confused and scared and I had to go potty......but i kept seeing my dream and it was ugly and weird. I fell back asleep and slept well, so I don't know what that was.
I'm meeting with a facilitator for coffee tonight after work to talk about the volunteer work, sort of an informal interview. Looking forward to starting that at the end of the month.
My cousin asked me if I'd do the dinner one night for Alpha. I said yes, but now i don't know what to make. I'm not sure of the date yet, so i have plenty of time to figure it out i guess.
Boy, when I don't go online for a bit...there's too much to read. Anyway,
DH made it safe to AR. I ended up taking vacation days Monday and Tuesday. I also found out that the craft show is Sept 25 NOT October 30. EEK!
Tuesday, I made 30 bookmarks and tonight after Alpha I will be making at least 10 more. I have to come up with ideas as to how to display them...UGH!
The weather here was absoutely wonderful...I couldn't have picked better days. I spent 4 hours in craft stores Monday so I could come up with an idea for the people at Shepards. Foam name tags for their doors. They got to decorate them with a bunch of different stickers, etc.
MY COMPUTER AT HOME CRASHED! I WASN'T EVEN HOME WHEN IT DID IT.
Talked to DH in AR and he said "Don't go loading your junk on MY computer, We'll just get your's fixed." I really wanted a laptop but it's not in the budget right now.
