Good Afternoon. Sorry I didnt get a chance to get on yet today. I did okay yesterday and I weighed in this morning because today has been not too good. I didnt gain and I didnt lose either. I will get through V Day and then it is totally back on track and time to get to goal.

Jay went to get my Subway today and he stopped and bought me a bunch of flowers and some Cadbury Creme Eggs(my favorite) He put them in the bakery on the table so when we went out to work I found them. He is so sweet. Now I am going to make him breakfast in bed tomorrow.

I took a picture of some donuts today because I figure they cant hurt to have pics when I have to apply for a loan in Florida to expand a front. I am posting them so you can see how cute the hearts came out.

Jacks, I love the dress!!! I will bet you are going to look beautiful in it! Congrats on your loss!!!

Julie, I know what you mean about just falling into bed at night. It definately isnt like it was when we were younger. But we do hang all over each other when we are up. The kids think we are gross.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Hey guys! Arrrggggghhhhh!!!! My cable's been down since this morning and I've been running around doing errands in and out of the office so I haven't had time to check on it. I called my old office down the street and they've had cable all day (WTF?) so I finally called the help line--turns out all I had to do is reset the modem and router . It's always something simple eh? So I finally get to sit down for a spell and talk to you guys.

Gawd Angie your donuts look WAY better than those Krispy Kremes . Yummy! Everytime you post pics of your creations I always have to commend you on losing as much weight as you have--you are totally AWESOME woman! If i had those goodies at my disposal, gosh I'd probably be as big a house! Hey, nothing wrong with showing your hubby affection . Everytime I try to give mine a nice hug, here comes the 5 y.o. yelling "family hug, family hug" and worms his way between us .

Jacks, so good to see you back here! Thank Gawd I didn't get caught up in that traffic this morning. I am so sick and tired of all these pedestrian accidents and these stupid people racing on our freeways and roads. I just read the afternoon edition of the Advertiser and I feel sick for the innocent by-standers who were just doing their jobs, and got caught in the middle of those two idiots racing. There's just too much carnage on our roads today. Huh! Maybe the car lost control because he hit a pothole? Could be... Oh yeah, I love that dress! You'll be so sexy in it . I definitely don't have the arms to wear that but you my dear are much younger and probably firmer. (I also don't have a chest enough to wear that dress )

Hi Julie. Now I'm thinking about your strawberry cheesecake with chocolate drizzle Hmmm, romantic views? Yeah we have quite a few. The weird thing is that I've lived on this island for so long that I don't "see" it anymore unless i really think about it. It's only when I go to the outer islands, especially Maui that I see the beauty of our islands. I know I shouldn't take any of it for granted. Hope you girls can come out and visit sometime!

Anna, your blog about your student conversations made me laugh. I felt like I was reading a David Sedaris novel, hope you're not offended by that. I just like the way you express yourself, very funny! Hope you feel better and kick that cold soon.

Kempy, congrats on the pounds down. Enjoy yourself at the wedding and make those romantic eyes at hubby while you're visiting family, maybe he'll get the hint and you guys can leave early .

Hello to everyone else and happy valentine's day to all !

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone.

Noelle & Jacks: I know exactly what you are talking about in reference to traffic. Phoenix has a couple of freeways, but it seems that on the weekends they are always closed in 2 or 3 areas. Last weekend the Interstate 10 was closed for about 7 miles near downtown. If people were coming from California and heading to Tucson they had to take surface streets and figure out how to get back on I10. Speeders are a major problem here as well as red-light runners. Phoenix is #1 in the nation for red-light runners. Speeding got so bad in North Scottsdale that there is a 5 mile stretch that is targeted by the police. In one weekend they gave over 150 speeding tickets and 3 were for speeds above 120mph. I hate the freeways.

Kempy: I know how difficult it is to go to school and work at the same time. I really feel for you. I am proud of you for sticking with it and knowing that something better is just around the corner. Hang in there. You're an inspiration to all of us.

Anna: I hope you are feeling better. I remember when I was in Korea and got sick. I did luck out and was able to take a couple of American missionaries with me to the doctor to translate. After seeing the Korean doctor, some friends of mine took me to see a doctor at the military base in Seoul. What part of China are you in exactly? How cold is it? We wanted to visit China when we were in Korea, but it was difficult to try to travel and obtain visas for Ashley. She was so young and we were pretty protective of her. (still are). Can you post pictures of where you are? I would be great to see some.

Angie: The treats you made look absolutely wonderful. Hubbie remembers the treats you sent at Christmas. He said it's too bad you don't live closer. With treats like that, I'm glad you don't live closer. I don't think you'll have any trouble at all opening up shop in Florida. If you're there next summer, maybe we'll get to see you.

The weather here has been absolutely beautiful. It has been a bit windy the past couple of days, but the temps have been keeping around 70 degrees. I would be happy to have it like this year round. The down side of that is that more visitors would come here than already do. Right now, the summers get pretty quiet. Not too many people like our oven temps in the summer of 120+ degrees. BUT IT'S A DRY HEAT!!!!
I still have my cold, but it is getting better. It especially started feeling better today at 3:30 when all the beasts, I mean kids, went home.
I'm really looking forward to the 3-day weekend; I need it.

Hello to anyone I may have missed. Have a great weekend.

Cal

Hey all! I LIVE!! YAY!

I hate being sick. I'm still on the tail ends of this cold, but I will kill it! Mwah ha ha!

Jacks, I'm in love with your wedding dress. That's beautiful! Very elegant. I've gotten so used to seeing wedding dress that are big and poofy, like the one in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, that I forget that they can look elegant.

Cal: I'd love to post photos, but I don't have a digital camera, just a regular one. Wish I'd brought a digital one over with me. *sigh* I'm living in Jiangsu Province, so it's pretty warm here. Everyone wanted to curl up and die when it got down to -5 C. Meanwhile, back home, it's -44. *grin*

I have done no excersize, and yesterday in an effort to get myself to eat *something* I hate some sort of rice pastry thingy. But, I'm drinking my water, I didn't fall off the caffeine wagon (although I wanted to), and I'm finding pop to be a lot less satisfying that it was a few months ago. Slowly but surely I'm winning this race!

Now, I just hope I feel better tomorrow, cuz that's Wu Shu day.

Hi! I wanted to check in quick before I leave for work. Everything is once again crazy in my life. My mom has CHF and was getting well enough to come home, then came down with pneumonia. So, Saturday morning 1am-6:30 am, I was in the hospital worried if she was going to be ok. Then, to top things off on Valentine's Day, my husband didn't get me a thing, nada, zip. We had a valentine's dinner and cake (oops, lol) at home, but, only because I cooked. Ah, well, hubby is a poo. I am determined to get back on track, once again, today. I have been walking, but, eating has been AWFUL!! Cake, candy, cookies, ice cream, you name it, I ate it. I hope everyone has a great day, I'll try to check in this evening!

I had a buys weekend. I am glad that things are a little calmer. Friday when i got home from school the cable people were supposed to be there to fix out cable box and of course they dond't know how to read to see what time to show up so there was a hang tag on the door stating that they missed us. NO S@%$!!! I wasn't going to be home until a certain time and that is why I told them to show up then. I spent most of the afternoon on the phone with the cable poeple. Of course they were not very happy with the technician. During this a friend of mine stopped by to fix the garage door. Rhea keeps chewing the wires that connect the sensors so it wouldn't work. Well, Joe comes home with bags and cooks me a valentine dinner. That was a great night. We drank wine an talked the whole time. It was raining outside so it was great just to be able to stay in with him. Saturday after school I rushed home to get dressed for that wedding. It was a really beautiful wedding. She did a really good job planning it too. Once that was over we rushed again but this time to his grandparents house about 30 mins away. It was pretty fun but I had a hard time getting Joe to leave. We didn't get home until 11:30. Then, yesterday I thought it would be a good idea to shampoo the carpets. I killed myself doing that. I love doing it but I was beat by 4 o'clock. NOw, I am tyring to just slow down and go at a normal pace. I haven't had any time to read the past posts b/c I couldn't really get on the computer. I was only on it to bid on some things on ebay that I need to start working after I get out of school.

I hope all of you are doing great. I hope to be able to keep up to date with you all from now on.

Holly, what is CHF? I hope your mom gets better soon. Sorry your hubby didnt get you anything. I fell off the wagon HARD this weekend too. We can climb back up again together.

Anna, I hope you are feeling better.

I assume we all had a hard time with our eating this weekend due to the lack of posts. I know I dont post half as much when I am eating alot of junk food. I was laying in bed last night and the realization hit me that I live through food. I guage how good my day was on what I ate yummy. How sick is that??!! For Valentine's Day I got up and cooked eggs with onions and cheese, toast with butter, bacon and homefries! For lunch we had Wendy's and we stopped and got Chinese to take home for supper. We then had ice cream sundaes all night so needless to say there was no romance because I was so stuffed that it hurt to lay down. What can I do to stop this destructive pattern? I am so embarrassed everytime I do it but yet I cant seem to make myself stop.

Today I have done 30 minutes of exercise and I intend to do 15 more minutes after work and then 15 more minutes this evening to get in an hour. I have to get this weight off. I cant stand that I let myself balloon back up to 165 pounds. Will this be what my life is like forever?

I hope everyone has a good day today. Send good thoughts my way because my kids are home all week for school vacation.

Hey Kempy, we were posting at the same time. You sound like you had a great weekend. Joe cooked dinner, that is a nice Valentines. What a sweetie. Shampooing the carpets is a great workout. I used to do that sometimes for a cleaning guy in our town. It was hard work. We had to do offices and stuff.

Good Morning Girls

Angie I hope your week is a good one with the kids home from school and they do not drive you nuts ! Great job on getting 30 minutes of excercising in already. I think we are feeling the effects of the month of Febuary. You know when the snow melts and everything starts to turn green. I think that will inspire us to excercise more. At least it helps me. I am still in hibernation mode. But I did lose 1 pound. Probally just water? Love the donuts pic!

Kempy sounds like you had a fun but busy weekend. How nice of Joe to cook you dinner. My hus grilled steaks. They were really good.

Holly prayers for your Mom. I hope she is going to be okay. Don't worry about the sweets, after all it was Valentines weekend. That was my excuse.

Noelle did hubby spoil you this weekend? I was expecting chocolates from mine but he did not get me any. Oh well I probally would have eaten the whole box anyway.

Hello to everyone I missed. Check back later....Julie

I am having leftover chili tonight Julie. Do you eat yours on pasta or something. I just eat mine with a few crackers. I made it with ground turkey this time. I think it came out pretty good too.

Not much going on here today huh? I just got my 30 mins of cardio in for today and if the cable people get to my house on time tonight I can take the dogs for a walk later. I think I need to get myself moving a little more. I would like to lose another 10lbs by March 13th. We have a party to go to in FL and I would love to show off my new self.

Hey girls, had a busy weekend this weekend despite "not much" being planned. Rick rode in a motorcycle rally on Sunday in which Arlen and Corey Ness (father and son motorcyle builders) were here to do a Discovery Channel Biker Build off which ended up at the Hard Rock Cafe. There were about 2000 bikers from around the state. It was soooo cool, and so freakin' hot at the same time. Michael and I went down for a short while to check out all the cool bikes and Michael got filmed checking off his ballot for which bike he wanted to win (he chose Corey Ness' bike). This morning me, Rick and 3 of my sisters went and did the Great Aloha Run/Walk--8.13 miles from the Aloha Tower downtown to the Aloha Stadium where the PRo Bowl was played. We did it in just under 2.5 hours like I thought we would. I never saw Jacks--but then again don't know if I'd recognize her even if I did, nor her me ...I'm sure she beat me if she was jogging even a little bit. We walked the whole way and I'm a little achy but its a good ache. Anywho, kids bugging me to get Nickjr.com so I'll tootle off now and check ya gals out tomorrow.
