Good morning, Bluesers!

Jen - Way to kick things off! Congratulations on your loss!

I'm so excited to "see" so many familiar faces again and to meet our new teammates. This is almost like the first day of school. I always loved the first day of school.

This morning, I have my Daily Plate page up on my laptop and ready to record every single calorie. Today's goal is 1600. Yesterday, I went to the fitness center for the first time and began my strength training. When I left there, I was shakey and slightly nauseous. I kept reminding myself that the contestants on BL go through much worse. Speaking of BL, I watch BL Australia on You Tube. I don't know if the US versions are on there, but that might be some great motivation for those of you who can't catch the show on live TV.

Hope everyone has a great on-plan day.

GO BLUE!

Add me to your list of reality TV junkies. I love Survivor, Amazing Race, Big Brother and, of course, Biggest Loser.

Go Dan!

Hi Dumplin!!! Thank you

I'm following Weight Watchers Flex Plan. I now get 29 Daily Points. Scary to think I began with 40. Let me tell you it's getting harder to lose the points along with the weight . Really have to put more thought into planning.

Talking

Morning All

Hello everyone, a little late for the intro here. I've been on vacay for little over a week or so. We got back in the wee hours of Sunday morning and spent the rest of the day recovering Lots of catching up for me.

Welcome back to all the previous team members. I'm so excited to be a part of this team again. And a hearty welcome to all the newbies. We can all do this!

And I'm really happy to see Heather and Manick here as part of our Blue team!

Umm...ok now about me. Lets see...this is my 2nd BL challenge so far. I live in Maryland and work full time in the IT field. We don't have any kids or pets as of yet. We've been married for almost 3 years and been together for almost 5. My 3 year anniversary is in October For this challenge, I plan on getting back to my exercise routine and achieving my mini goal by the end of this challenge. I do have loads to lose and definitely plan on staying true to my plan. I'm calorie counting and exercising. I recently bought a SenseWear and love it. Oh I love to read, watch TV and listen to music amongst other things.

So now that I've caught up a little bit: Intro Time!!!

Howdy & hi to all the old Bluesers, and a wonderful to all the new ones Yay!

I'm Faerie. I'm 25 and am soon about to move from CT (where I've lived all of my life) to MA (where I'll be starting my new life). I'm engaged to be married October 18th of this year. Things are hectic with trying to stay on track & plan a wedding, and move, and thinking about school coming up next year.

So, I'm an art & comicbook fan. I love to read fantasy novels. And (thanks to a few good suggestions from fellow Bluesers) trashy vampire lusty novellas. I love all things fantastical and with a dash of whimsy.

Well now, down to true business. Weight loss. I began my new life and wiped the old slate clean in April of 2007. I've been a meeting-going Weight Watchers member for about 17 months now. With the help of walking, and other exercises I've taken off about 100 lbs. I'm in a phase where I fear I may be getting a little content. I do not want to let what I want in the moment to overshadow what I truly want long-term. I've given myself a goal of Onederland by the New Year. I'm working towards it, and I believe that being part of this group will keep me on track and remind me frequently of what's truly important. My health and having fun while being healthy.

Good Morning Blue Team!! I am very excited to participate in this challenge, it is my first.
My name is Amy. I live in Southern Illinois where I am an assistant manager at a local Italian restaurant and I am also in charge of handling all the banquet and outside catering jobs. Wedding receptions? I am your girl, lol. I set up for events averaging approx 300ppl at a time. My current weight is 261 and I am not sure how that ever became acceptable to me, lol. One of my biggest personal challenges is sucess. Odd sounding, I agree. It seems that when I begin to lose and am doing well I sabotage myself, going back to step one. I need to incorporate an excercise routine, so I am shopping around. My job is actually quite physically demanding, setting up tables, chairs, decor, running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Temporarily I am going to start using a perdometer and am thinking of purchasing a gym membership in the next two weeks. Gotta love the paycheck to paycheck living, lmao. I hope this finds you all well. Your posts are a great source of inspiration to me. Wishing everyone a great on point day!

Amy

Morning Ladies and Gents!

Glad to see that everyone is getting to know each other. I'm going to be making a name cheat sheet again this round, so if you haven't included your name (or what you'd like to be called) in your intro, please include your name in your next post since I have signatures turned off.

I think it will be nice if we all set a goal as to how much we want to lose on this challenge. We can add it to the cheat sheet and compare it to our results at the end of the challenge.

I'm working on the exercise and menu planning threads right now, but I'm also trying to get checks out for the business. They'll probably be up in the next hour or so.

I'll be back for a more personal update later. Just really busy this morning.

Hello, my name is Christina and I am a reality tv show junkie. I even watch shows I am ashamed to admit to, like anything on MTV(I love NY) or VH1(The Surreal World). I did enjoy Celebrity Fit Club a couple of times, it was nice to see celebs, even if they were B-list at best, struggle with the everyday stuff we do. I couldn't watch all of it last season because it's annoyingly focused on the drama more than the weight loss.
I will be watching TBL, Survivor and The Race this season too. So we will have something to gab about besides weight. I also watch Dancing with the Stars, and I am excited that Rocco Dispirito is going to on there. Maybe someone should start a reality TV junkie thread, aDjay, Kissingginger? Oh yeah and huge Big Brother fan too, Go Dan!! Actually I watch WAY too much TV as you can tell, thanks to my dvr. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't watch half the shows I do now. I am also looking forward to some of my favorite dramas returning, Heroes(YAY), Ugly Betty, Greys just to name a few.

Phew, all this talk about TV has me needing a fix. I'm off to cook a yummy egg beater omelette for breaky and watch TrueBlood.

Good luck to everyone this week staying OP. GO BLUE! Phew, this post is shorter, but not by much.

Ginger - Wow, triplet boys! You must have had your hands FULL for the past four years

Puffin - I don't watch the BL shows either - though I live in the U.S. I don't have any TV beyond DVD-watching capabilities. I was thinking of renting a previous BL season to watch along side the challenge. As for a good book - depends on what you like to read! The Twilight series is absorbing but kinda trashy (), Thomas Hardy novels are absorbing but DEPRESSING... Have you read "A Secret History" by Donna Tartt? It's not new, but it's a great novel. I think she wrote it when she was 18 or something ridiculous.

irishkatt - Wow, you have some willpower! I don't think I could follow a plan that didn't tell me how much I could eat each day. Good for you, that is great!

FCBG/Heather - Hope your computer sitch straightens itself out (meaning, I hope your IT guys can fix it). 20 lbs sounds like a great goal, you are going to hit Onederland during the challenge!

Jen - AWESOME job with the loss! Holy shlamoley!

Rhonda - Track, track, track! Awareness is key. You can do it!

Faerie - Heh, speaking of losing points - did I mention that even though I am in the 180's I still haven't dropped my points from my 190's level? I'm afraid! I don't want to eat less! If WI this weekend doesn't go too hot, I will drop to 25 but... I'm just in such a good routine with my 26, I don't want to change.... *whines*

Pinto - Oooh, your anniversary is coming up soon! Do you have any plans?

I am going for a run tonight, no questions asked. I MUST get myself back into the habit. Must must must. It helps to make my losses more consistent than they otherwise are with just OP eating. So that is my goal for this week - to run every other day, starting today. Not to make excuses or anything (ok, maybe that's what I'm doing), I will eventually have to drive up to Maryland when my sister has her baby, and that will surely throw a wrench in my running plans... Well, I'll deal with that when it happens. For now, running tonight!

OMG - I go away for a day and 8 pages is what I come back to. (WOW)

OK, so a little about me. My name is Kelly, I am 36 (I will turn 36 during this challenge). I have 1 DS and 1 DH. DS is 8, and DH is a Paramedic/Firefighter. I am an Analyst with Booz Allen Hamilton and have been here for 6 years this month. I have steadily losing weight since 15 Sept 2007 (today is my 1 year anniversary of starting on this journey). I havent had a Soda in 365 days (and still want one every day - Coca Cola is my addiction). I have lost 110.6 lbs as of this morning and want to lose at least another 22.4 lbs (then I will consider if I am happy at 175 or if I want to shoot for another 20lbs).

I started off with Pure Weight Loss (formerly LA Weight Loss). They have since closed up shop, but I am continuing with their principles and still losing. I have done, South Beach, Atkins, Weight Watchers, Nutrisystem, Jenny Craig, etc. Just about anything you can think of for dieting and I have probably tried it. This seems to work for me, but more importantly, it it something that I can do forever, you see the others were just "Diets" to me, this is a better way of eating for the rest of my life.

I am hoping to drop about 15lbs total during the challenge. I would like to drop my remaining 22.4lbs, but I am not sure if that is doable, so I am looking at the 15 as a more reasonable goal and if I get more than that, I consider it calorie free icing.

I cannot run due to an old knee injury, but I do the C25K on my elliptical. I was almost all the way through it last challenge when my elliptical broke and I had to wait weeks before it was fixed, so I am back a few weeks, but I did do the 25 minute run this morning (I modify the program to allow for 60 minutes on the elliptical). I also do Hula Hooping (The Red Team Leader just thinks se is the Hoop Queen), Lifting usually about 2 times a week, Wii Fit Yoga, I walk occassionally, and swap out my Elliptical for my recumbant bike when I have a good book to read. I also do a 2 hour TBL Last Change Workout on Tuesday nights with the show. My WI is on Wed mornings. This is my 3rd Challenge, and I plan to continue doing well for myself and my team.

Welcome to the newbies! Welcome Back to the returning Bluesers! Welcome to those returning challangers that finally got on the right team!

Thanks again!
I do love my friends across the pond. So I went in search of a place to watch TBL episodes online, and I came across a link where you can watch the first hour of the season premiere right now. OMG, I wanna watch it, but I'm not going to. I will wait so I can watch it all together Tuesday, but I will try to post the link for any of you that don't get the show and want to see it. It actually looks as though NBC will have the full episodes offered on their site this season. I really hope so.

Enjoy everyone...

Like last time i don't want to set an end goal yet. But i do want to set a mini goal of 50 pounds lost..

I find it hard to keep up on the chat and i cant spell Australian let alone American words.. so i hope you can sift through it all.. lol,

Great to See my blueser friends again..

The time difference is the hardest thing of participating in this challenge.. for me.. to talk alot i miss sleep.. when i do that i binge.. and don't workout.. so if I'm not posting I'm sleeping lol.. or I'm posting while your sleeping lol.. speaking of which I'm off to bed.. 11 pm here..

And leah isn't very well so she is going to snore.. lol... night all
