Magpie: how do you make the oatmeal? Does it get shaken then microwaved?

Today is day 3 and I'm HUNGRY. I'm hoping tomorrow will be easier.

I was delighted to see the scale begin to move down this morning

I'm on day 3 too and it was the worst! I was very hungry and moody all day. I'm feeling better after dinner, but it was r..o..u..g..h.. today to say the least! Here's to a happier day 4 (and birthday!).

hysteria- stay strong. ((((HUGS))))

I have to attend a work brunch at Maggianno's tomorrow. Not looking forward to it. I've packed my bbq chips, broccoli spears, and double brownie bar. As of now I feel quite strong willed but just the thought of the smells....

First time round did you combine limiting your calories with some exercise? I know that when I stop exercising the weight goes on pretty rapidly even if I am counting calories.

Hi everyone! I am on Day 3 today of a reboot. I did proper IP last year with a lot of skepticism and was amazed at how fast the weight came off. Then a lot of life events happened, including a move overseas, so I took a long break from IP. France is lovely but the pastries, baguettes, cheeses, etc etc are way too plentiful for my waistline! Despite all the walking I do here with no car.

Now that I'm here, I can't access any of the IP pouches, so I am doing the plan with alternatives - I've ordered some protein powder and bars from the UK to supplement what little I brought with me from Canada. With no coach, I'll be relying heavily on this forum for support! I'm shooting to lose at least 10 kg by my first trip back home in May.

Today I feel pretty good! I had a foggy head this morning following some wild dreams, so I had a nice mug of boullion and felt a lot better. Then I met up with a friend at the market and we got a coffee. I drank it black Not my favorite but at least it was a tiny little European-sized cup. Haha

Hello to all I am day 3 into my reboot. I tried to reboot a month ago but then just after I started there was a major family crisis that suddenly took me away from home and any plans for IP I may had. Now that I have the stress, not to mention the stress eating under control I am ready to start yet again. This latest situation just reminds me how I got to be the size 24 for so long. Food can't be my comfort, reward, happy place anymore cause the short good I feel from it lasts for only a few minutes and then I am uncomfortable in my clothes, and in my skin. Originally on IP I lost over 100lbs from 2012 to 2013. I was able to maintain for a little over a year but the weight slowly began to creep back up. Now for a while I just ignored it cause I was having fun with the new me. But it is time now to get back to my comfortable happy place.
So I am here to join you guys starting and restarting this month, I hope to be support for you all on your journey as you are here for mine

I love my coach! We had a discussion about almond milk and she ok'd 1C per day so long as it doesn't impede my weight loss - 35 calories and 1 Carb. She told me (but I can't confirm this) some coaches are trying to change protocol to allow almond milk. Anyway, had a treat tonight - almond milk and strawberry whey protein :yum:

Yeah, you mix it up and then microwave (gently, it only takes about 45-60 seconds, and you want to stir it somewhere in the middle). I didn't use the shaker, just added water to the bowl and stirred. I never use the shaker for much besides drinks and raspberry jelly; it gets all weird with the puddings and the potatoes. (But if you like the shaker for the foods, definitely rock on! )

Day 2 was a little tough, honestly. I'm not really looking forward to my day 3, tomorrow.

Good work getting through yours ... the third day is usually the worst, and then it gets easier!

Day 22 - the last three weeks have been a roller coaster, including TOM this last week. Hopefully I am over the worst of the hunger issues and am now taking all my supplements regularly so the energy is increasing
I have decided with the severe limitations the soy issue presents, I am doing a modified IP protocol - following phase 1 but with real foods & whey protein products. My coach has left the door wide open if I want the RL support and if I start faltering I am glad to know I have the support - at a cost. She also left the door open if I want to stop by just to get a few things from time to time. I really liked the pre-made chocolate drink - but bought a case of Premire Proteins chocolate shake last night as an alternative. I don't really like doing the shakes too much but its better to have an emergency one in my purse if I'm caught away from home.
I am also enjoying trying new foods (jicama) and making new recipes - made zucchini chips last night (took 3 hours! Learned my oven doesn't like 170 lol - took 25 minutes to finish at 225) trying those with lunch today. And tonight I am planning to make cali-shepards-pie. I also am inversting in new kitchens gadgets - this weeks was an Oxo mini chopper and a mandolin

Hope Day 3 isn't too bad for you! Getting snow? It's evolutionary that this kind of cold / snow makes humans instinctually want more food. Hubby is talking about making his famous chili this afternoon won't ask him not to but mannnnnn....

Aww, thanks, hysteria!

Yep, getting snow. Trying to get through the cravings with lots and lots (and lots) of hot tea. I think you're right: the snow is probably making it worse. And the snow shoveling I'll need to do later will make it MUCH worse!

I'm watching the birds on the feeders outside the window; they clearly are after food for the cold, too.

(Couldn't find a songbird in the smilies, so a chicken will have to do.)

I've seen some pretty good-looking chili-type recipes that are IP friendly. Maybe you can make something that'll hit the spot the hub's chili creates?

DD10 had dance rehearsal - what should have been a 10 minute drive home was about 45 the roads are horrible.

Hot tea sounds good - working through a Celestial Seasoning's fruit samplers - peach and blueberry are my favorites so far.

We have two cats so I don't keep a feeder - but we have a large evergreen on the side of the house where lots of birds come to get out of the weather...it is beautiful when it snows.

I was thinking about that...and thankfully he forgot while he was out and now with the roads so messy, is going to wait.

Day 4. Beautifulild winter day and decided to go for a walk with my family. I was so sluggish! My coach told me this is an effect of low-carb/calories, so expected it, but I was wiped when we got home. Had a headache all day as well. Hoping that goes away soon. Hope you are all having a great weekend and staying OP. Weekends are tough!

I have the caffeine free sampler from David's Tea which I drink in the evening during my worst time of day for snacking. They have some excellent, flavourful fruit teas with zero cals/carbs/fat. Great variety too!
