Today sucked. I have no better way to say it. Corporate is visiting, that's never a good thing. Usually it means a firing is going to happen. I started off good, coffee and cream, then a nice big salad for lunch. The morning and afternoon were spent with alternating butt chewing meetings and planning meetings about the problems. I got overstepped, over ran, over talked, but I'm still employed. I ate my salad at my desk, laying low and trying to be productive in the environment where all anybody wants to do is "talk about it." I don't think I'm at much fault in the problem, but that doesn't mean they won't be able to deflect it onto me making me a sacrificial lamb so to say (Amazing what some will do in the name of self preservation). I ended my day in the McD drive through with a qtr lb meal deal I'm sorry to say.

Tomorrow it resumes. Wednesday is my interview. C'mon c'mon c'mon Wednesday!!! Please throw me a life line!!!! Good heavens, this has to get better from here.

Yay Rebecca ... Doing good. Kel many many good thoughts coming your way just do your best - things have to get better right....

I'll try checking in morning and night - till Irene gets here -then if there is ATT cell service and I can charge iPad in car I will try once a day. it was heading out to sea now it's looking more inland - send out to sea wishes towards it please ... And hoping as it hits cooler water it lessens it's power some too. Too much to do (alone since hubby will be helping his older brother) and not enough time to do it in.... Although not eating and yard work does melt weight off it seems ...

I ordered some Atkins bars to come in my PeaPod delivery on Friday - at least I will have that to grab if necessary. And I got ham, salami, pepperoni, I'll steam up some eggs have canned chicken and tuna even Spam and deviled ham - we have town water so I can flush toilets at a minimum (grew up with a well so that was always a concern) and have water. Need to grind coffee, work in yard, do laundry, do bed things early since power going out could mean it could be awhile... Find blankets to put on under the sheets - waterbeds get cold with no heaters
Sorry guys my brain is racing as you can tell ....
and I have another whole yard list in addition to this ...

Well I was so crazy I set my delivery for groceries picked a delivery time and forgot to check out so now I'm set for Monday but Im thinking of changing it to more mid week just in case power goes out - I have canned stuff and stuff in the freezer that would need to be cooked -

It has been great for weight loss - been too busy to eat ... Can't seem to get over 580 calories (I know but curiosity makes me check how many calories for the day after I'm done for the day) despite having Portabella mushroom pizza and grilled sausage last night..

Kel been thinking of you. Keep checking in please ..

I am so in on this! I just switched over from low cal to atkins. I had previously lost 100 lbs, and have just maintained for about 4 years. But now I am back in it! I'm doing strict atkins and working out every day. I hope to see some changes soon. I've been working out for a while now and doing low cal... I didn't see any change on the scale, but my body is shrinking and my clothes are definitely fitting better. I don't mind not losing numbers if I'm losing inches =) I'll take muscles over fat anyday!

Congratulations to everyone on here that's lost weight!!!! You guys are awesome inspiration. And to everyone else, we can do this!!!

Was out of town and couldn't check in. Being out of town was NOT good,Its hard sometimes while traveling to stay on plan, I gained a few pounds, but hoping to have them off by the weekend.

I hate TOM!

Okay, not really. I'm an adult woman, I can deal. But I hate the way that it gets my hormones and weight loss out of whack. I think that I've figured out the pattern: (weight X) - (2 lbs a few days before TOM) + (4 lbs during TOM) - (2 lbs after TOM) = weight X. So the week-long seesaw takes me back to where I started, after a quick stop at Yeah! I lost! and then Boo! I gained! So frustrating.

But the upshot is that I'm holding steady at 198. And I'm still hopeful that I can get to 195 by Labor Day on Monday. I think that I still have some water weight hanging around!

Go Rebecca! Woo hoo!

Personally, I'm struggling to stay on plan. I'm not outright cheating, but I'm doing too much of the "carb creep/maintain not lose" thing. Too many almonds, too many slices of sodium-packed pepperoni, too many glasses of wine. And just now: way too many spoonfuls of No Sugar Added ice cream that will probably knock me out of ketosis. Sigh. Too late to undo it now.

But tomorrow's a new day! And four full days before my Labor Day mini-challenge. Then two whole months before Halloween. Just need to stay focused.

Small update: I've been sick! I've spent the past few days trying not to let this cold/flu/whatever get me down. I've also had no appetite for meat, so I've allowed myself to go slightly off plan and eat 40-50 carbs instead of 20-30. But the good news is that I still lost! Higher carbs usually makes me binge, but my cold killed all desire for that. So I made my Labor Day goal of 195, even if it wasn't the way that I had planned. Now on to better health and then (hopefully) smooth sailing to Halloween.
