As for being down only .4 of a pound...what was that word you typed before the word "only"? Oh yeah, it was "DOWN"! Yes, I can be sarcastic at times...my wife hates it. Congrats on the loss!

Ahh but if I didn't have the super duper scale that i have I wouldn't know about the .4 But I really am happy because all week I have been up rather than down in weight - so it isn't up and it's not a total stall but (throwing a temper tantrum and stomping my feet like the 3 yr old I feel like) I WANT to lose lots more darn it!

This month will be a little challenging but I am going to work around my obstacles, my son's birthday on the 30th so going to make some low carb induction friendly deviled eggs and veggie tray for his birthday party. I am feeling a lot better today, headaches gone and getting my energy back. Going to get back to exercising again tomorrow to really boost my weight loss.

Do you know the steaming eggs trick - since I learned it I have had perfect eggs every time I make myself easy deviled eggs for lunch a few times a month...

Rho good job on the party. Yes, they offered more money, but I haven't heard how much. Many of my requests are coming to fruit already. Maybe it will be better soon. I know in this economy you have to be happy to have a job, but it gets hard when you aren't treated fairly.
My weight is up a lb, down a lb. So right now, breaking even. I've been good more than not, but not as good as I can. I seem to be able to maintain a low carb lifestyle most of the time. The slips are small, and much less of what I eat, wishing I could just stop the slip ups. I had coffee/cream breakfast. Naked taco salad for lunch. 4 pieces of Halloween candy (I know, it's in my freakin' office - and it's not mine, but she keeps sharing my favorites out of it with me). GINORMOUS steak, salad, ranch drsg, grilled cabbage, 1 small sweet potato for supper. I only ate a small amount of potato. I manage to go very low carb, then SLIDE back a little. It's still a big improvement over my previous junk food-a-thon diet. And the weight is SLOWLY going down.
I bought myself something, and honestly, I stole the idea. Ripped it off somebody shamelessly and I don't know who. I ordered myself a charm bracelet, plain, no charms. I hit 230's so I ordered it - I had promised myself I would. Every time I hit a new milestone (220's, 210's etc) I'm adding a charm. I'm going to wear it all the time to remind me. I loved the idea, and I'm going to test drive it.

"** I never ever make deviled eggs because I hate peeling eggs for it and not having them turn out perfectly. * Today I decided to try steaming them just in a pot with a steam rack - took them out and put in warm water to bring to room temp quickly (since I, of course, decided to do it at the last minute). Started some water in the Cooking pot and got it boiling and steaming away - put the eggs on the steam basket/rack/thingy and let it go for about 13 or 14 minutes ... Took them out and put into cold water and let them sit for about 4 minutes took three and tapped around the center then rolled them gently just a bit and put them back in the water for a couple of seconds while I did the next egg and then took them out and literally just twisted the shell and it came off in 2 pieces!! *"

That may have been from me but I ripped it off from somewhere else - I'm still going to do it but I need to find somewhere to get them .. I'm thinking I might go with a necklace instead because I knit and the charms could get caught in the yarn (I have enough trouble don't need that too )
I love the idea of something that has lots of meaning to us and that daily reinforces what we have done but no one else knows what it is other than pretty and fun..
Keeping fingers crossed on the job front for you too. And on the live-it (decided I don't want to use a word with die in it lol) you are doing ok you are easing back into it - maybe each day try doing one thing different like today no candy after 11 am or no potato today with dinner - then make it a little different tomorrow but still keeping the one from the day before. and before you know it it will be habit ..
Thanks, I am going to have the whole weekend to myself to organize a workout routine for myself to get started on. I have started to see the scale going down again, I am so excited.
WOOT DOWN another lb 1 more to got to get my 20lb goal for here and 6 more to get my other Halloween goal for another post! I feel like I can do this! 29 down baby!
Rho, I might try that steamin' trick. I have loads of kitchen equipment, it might as well find some more uses. I didn't win my bracelet on ebay so the hunt goes on.
On the cheating front, I did so GOOD yesterday, then blew it. Coffee and cream for breakfast, headed out to shop with my BFF. She wanted Sonic. I ordered a BUNLESS foot long coney dog. It was great. We went about 8 hrs before we ate again, and I wasn't hungry until then, but once I got hungry it took just a lil while to get to eat and then I did chicken nuggets and fries. I didn't eat a lot of fries, I don't usually. But I ate 10 nuggets with sauce. I can't let myself go 8 hrs or control is gone. On the other hand, a bunless footlong coney lasted 8 hrs - good to know!
Our trip ended with massages - as should every shopping trip!
today is back on plan without any probs. Lesson learned.

amb: I think I might look at that too. I had said I'd try to start something small this fall for exercise. I have some limiting factors, but I could just plan a few small things to start building a habit. Might burn off that darn candy I keep sneaking....
